We purchased a Spring Air Mattress June 13, 2005 from Cajun Brothers in Conway, AR. One of the main reasons we purchased this mattress was the warranty. We noticed that the mattress was sagging (on both sides) where we sleep. Cajun Brothers came to our house, (February 2007), took pictures, measured the sag and sent them to Spring Air.

Spring Air replied that our mattress was not that bad. We needed to rotate the mattress. Not that bad? Is a Spring Air mattress supposes to be comfortable and not sag for 2 years only? That is almost $500.00 a year for a bed. I really do not think this is acceptable. We are very unhappy with this mattress. We are supposed to have a 100% warranty not to be prorated in any way.We have a king size Vienna pillow top.

I sleep on the right side in the summer and my husband on the left. In the winter, we switch. In my opinion, we are rotating the mattress. We are unhappy about the way we have been treated. If a mattress is sagging, IT IS SAGGING. It does not make any difference how much. If something is broken, it is broken. We do not want another Spring Air mattress; another one would probably do the same thing as this one has. We are truthfully tired of the hassle. We have lived with this for a year now its time something was done. We expect a refund from Spring Air.

originally bought a park place cool max from our 'mega mattress' store for 1500 bucks. Foam bed. Felt good in store (tried it several different times). Within a week had huge wholes where we slept. After arguing with owner he agreed to trade up. Stupid us - we agreed and then gave them another 400 to own a king size spring air 'wedding'. Felt firm at the store. Got it home and in one day started getting back aches. Huge depressions started appearing on each side with a hump in middle. Not only that, the box springs are different. One has a board (or cardboard top inside) the other feels like springs - it now being very supportive. Called up company and said i'm sick of all of this. He was angry with me for accusing him of being unscrupulous. He is coming out Monday to look at it. I know where this going to go and it just pisses me off so much. I would have rather burned the money for heat this winter. Calling better business bureau and putting ads in local papers to warn people. I am sleeping on the floor now and will be going to store this weekend to look at those numbers air mattresses that several of my friends swear by. They are 100%guaranteed. Oh...btw, my wife and I bought a mattress when first married.... it lasted 17 years. Not a problem. Thins aren't like they used to be.

    BACK to square one
We have had our Spring Air Mattress for a little less than two years.  We have 1.5 inches of sagging on both sides.  The store we purchased it from sent us the paperwork to complete for a claim.  We did this and the manufacturer told us that they would repair the mattress. Has anyone ever heard or this?  They also said that Spring Air is doing us a favor by repairing the mattress, and the warranty does not cover that amount of sagging.  We will be without a mattress for a week so we have to stay in a hotel.  Which the store we purchased it from or the manufacturer do not seem to care about. My husband has back issues and cannot just sleep on the couch for a week.  They have not picked up the mattress yet.  I will never buy another Spring Air product. Our previous mattress that we had was 13 years old and we never had the amount of sagging than we do with the Spring Air.

I will never buy a mattress from Spring Air again. From my research and personal experience it is very apparent that the company that owns Spring Air Mattress does not give a damn about its product or customers. I first purchased a King Size pillow top from a local store in Northern CA. It was wonderful at first but began to sag in middle after three years. My significant other & I began rolling to the middle of the bed which killed our backs. Of course you think the 10 yr warranty guarantees you a peace of mind and assurance that if the bed becomes defective that you would get a new bed w/o a problem. This has not been the case. We let the owner know as he was selling his store. He was very responsive but this was not the case with Spring Air Rep. It took several months to get him to come out to look at the 1 inch plus sag. It was really a pain in the butt to work with the new owner who was doing her best to start a new business and honor the warranty. After the Rep came out they sent us a denial letter claiming that we had stains on our mattress. My significant other and I work in the medical field and found this really insulting. I spoke with Rep and had to recite the Consumer laws letting him know that regardless of the stains they could not sell the mattress and had to honor the warranty.  The new owner let us know that she was going to honor the warranty. We live in a rural area, reputation means a lot up here and every one knows everyone. We got a replacement which felt like a hard rock. The bed belonged in a Hotel. Of course this caused a lot of tension between us and the owner. I ended up returning the bed and getting the King Size Natures Rest Latex bed for an additional prorated cost of $381.00 and was told that this was it. If I was dissatisfied they met their obligation. I have to say the bed felt comfortable in the store. I spent sometime on it. Big mistake! The one we got caused major neck and back problems, started sagging a few months after owning it. I am dreading dealing with this again but after reading the comments from this site and complaintwire.org it seems that I do have a case in court. I feel sorry for the small business owner because she is trying to make a living but we can not take being crippled anymore. If there is a class action suit let us know and I suggest that everyone file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against Spring Air.

This mattress sags worse then my 82 year old grandmas boobs, i want my money or a newer crappy version of my spring air bed , im only 21 and i dont wanna look like a hunch back of notre dam when i get older. My girlfriend and i sink in the middle worse then the titanic, you would think the ice burg that sank the titanic rolled its way on over this mattress. I would rather sleep on an air mattress, even the dog won't sleep on the bed anymore. Sometimes if sleep in the middle i sink so far down i here satin laughing. I'm afraid that the warranty salesman will get stuck in the middle of the bed if he lays on it.I'm only 6 feet 200 pounds, you would think a car was parked on it every night.

We bought a spring air king size onyx plush March 20,2009.The night we picked up from Schewels in Amherst, Va we noticed once we unpackaged it It had several small holes on the top of the mattress. They also sold me the wrong box spring.Schewels came over a week later and picked up and brought us a new set with the correct box spring however when we rotated the mattress last night noticed it has a foot rip. The District manager @ Schewells implied that we might have damaged our mattress and that He did not see anything wrong with the first mattress. So He is saying it is okay to charge full price for damaged good.

I got my Spring Air 9/28/2008 and already have the sinkholes. I bought the mattress cause I had a prescription for a firm mattress for my back and neck, since then my back and neck have worse.  I agree with you about a class action suit.

Had mine for about 3 months, wake up every morning about 3:30a. m. and have the worse pain in my left hip. sleep on my left sign. I get up and lay in my recliner. Around 10:00, i am ok again.

So distressed over this, it was a back supporter. It is firm looking, but when I lay on it, it sinks in the middle so much.

Oh great - wish I had seen this earlier.  I purchased a Spring Air II Pillow Top and have a 3" crater on one side and a 2 1/2 in crater on the other.  We do turn the mattress still.  We purchased 2 1/2 years ago.  Bringing pictures, sales order, and warranty/maint. tag that was on the bed to the place we purchased it from.  She told me she would contact her rep. for me.  I sure hope I don't have the same problems as you all have had, but does not look good.  Will keep you posted.  I will not hesitate on contacting the TV, newspapers, and our attorney general, especially after reading all these complaints.  Good luck to you all!!

as a mattress salesperson, you must understand the following.  if you buy a pillowtop mattress it will start to sag.  you must realize that you sleep in the same spot 5,6,7 hours a night, 365 days a year.  it has to make a body impression.  the only way not to get body impressions is to by a firm bed.  you have to give up one to get the other.  other option is to buy a tempurpedic or latex bed that has great recovery, however, if you buy a pillowtop mattress note that the bigger the pillowtop the bigger the body impressions.  most people don't realize how many hours are put on a mattress.  try buying a new car.  drive it for 3 months straight and don't let anyone else in the car.  after the 3 months, go sit in the back seat or passenger seat.  it will not feel like the drivers seat.  cause no one has ever sat there.  so are you going back to the dealership and complain that your driver seat has a sag??? i don't think so.  get a firm bed or deal with sag.

I too have issues with Spring Air Mattress Company, fortunatly it's not mattress related. Me and 12 other former employees of the company were laid off and the company will not release our 401k accounts, after 9 months of waiting there is no resolution in sight. I have incorporated the efforts from several Federal and State agencies, turns out there are no laws being broken and this company can do whatever it wants. The company also has a problem paying it's vendors, when they closed the plant in Denver there was a premium due to their HMO that was not paid and turned over to collections.
Spring Air Mattress is part of a very large "gang" that works very hard to run their brand into the ground. The business model is based on ignorance and deception.

Well Folks You don't have to worry about complaining about Spring Air anymore  They ceased operations last week and are looking toward filing chapter 7  No warranties anymore Go get yourself another "S" brand and experience the same thing.  When buying a mattress let you body tell you what is right and do not let a salesperson push the most expensive mattress on you.  I reccommend you take your time and find a saleperson with a genuine concern for the way you sleep.  Finding the right sleep system dictates what kind of day you are going to have.  If you think get ready tonight for tommorrow and find a bed that gives you correct posture alignment and helps allieviate pressure points thats the bed for you.  Take your time and do lay on every bed in every store you go to or they will all start feeling the same and you will go home with bed that is not right for you and will find yourself on the complaint trail again.

Oh My gosh, I have experienced the exact same frustration with my Spring air "back support" (ha) pillowtop... I have been taken pain medication for my back now for a month. The mattress is only 2 years old, same sag, same hump in the middle!! I sent pictures measurements ,jumped through all of the ridiculous hoops they required approx. 3 weeks ago, and I have heard NOTHING BACK... and now I can't even get an answer when I call their warranty dept! VERY FRUSTRATED!! DON"Y BUY SPRINGAIR!!!!

    not important
your sir are on drugs!! a mattress with a ten year warranty should not give an average weight husband and wife back pain after only 2 years!! and none of us should have to fold a blanket and stategically place it under a $600 mattress in order to get a good night sleep, Your nuts!!!
