I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website.  I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them.  The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them.  They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance.  They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive.  On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint.  If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.

People READ the Terms & Conditions!  As a NEW client to Square UP I read the entire small print AND as for a security precaution on THEIR part they reserve the right to hold funds in excecss of $1,000 charged in your FIRST 30-days for UP to, not for, but UP TO 30-days while they VERIFY your account.

It amazes me how people gripe and [***] about things yet FAIL to read the terms. It sayyyys UP TO 30-days.  I went over $1,000 in day 4 of using it and received my funds AFTER the verified I was legit and NOT scamming people. I had funds Day 12.  Duhhhh, no worries.  Stop whining and realize they DO NOT do a credit check on your %$^%$%^ like most merchant services.

Such idiot rookie business people who do not read......sighhhh

I would not be afraid!!  C'mon!  Really?  Understand something.  SOME people who post negative things are people who typically work for a competitor.  Ohhh, but that never happens right?   LOL!!!

It has been 6 or 7  weeks now and I still have not received my card reader, yet I have already had my grand opening.  In fact, having read the comments here, I have heard more negative about them than positive, so that's it for me.  I don't have to be further convinced.....moving on to a more reputable source.    Thank you all for your comments!

I called Square at 415-375-3176 and talked to Josh who was very helpful.  He told me that Square did have a hiccup in the system on Saturday July 16, 2011 and some customers were accidentally charged 2x.  They have already refunded the second charge.  The money will be back in the accounts of those who were double charged within a couple of days.

I love square and will continue to use them for both of my businesses.

There is nothing to keep them from taking all your money and then some. My banker had 4 complaints with square the same week I spoke with them. They have left me with large negative balances in my accounts. They keep pulling out my money without making any deposits. I cant seem to stop them!!
