CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    they just double charged me for airline tickets. When I call they keep putting me on hold and I seem to only be able to take about a hour of that. I call again and same happens. Don't use this rip off company

      I am wondering why none of you have comPlained to your credit card companies. I had huge problems with CheapO today. So far they have charged me almost $5000 and that included a cancellation fee. I have received two emails from them telling me that my tickets were cancelled and that they wod refund my money within 1 to two business cycles. I called me cc company and they told me that if the current pending charges are actually put through by CheapO, I can contact the dispute dept. c company told me that they would require me to contact CheapO and give them 30 days to respond. If they do not respond properly within 30, my cc company will begin the dispute process armed with my emails stating that these tickets will be refunded. The cc company will remove the charges from my account and armed with my emails, they can resolve this. But stay away from this company! All of the complaints about long hold times and being disconnected are TRUE!!! Hopefully, they will not put through the pending charges, and I will not have begin a dispute via my cc company,

    Mauricio, it is difficult to post any updates to these complaints primarly because none of them provide me with their names, or booking numbers. Therefore it is impossible to try and assist them if they don't give details.  Like yours for instance, you give your first name, however, no last name, or even your reservation details so that I can contact you and get this worked out. There would certainly be more updates by us and the "blogger" if I was given a chance to resolve this.

    Paul, being placed on hold is more than likely the agent trying to get you to the billing department so they can assist you. I will certainly be glad to look into the double charge for you.  I would also like to point out that if you have used a debit card, sometimes the banks show a "pre authorization" and that is pending while the actual charge comes through.  That authorization will be released by your bank usually within 24 hours. However, if this is not the case, forward your name, and 7 digit booking number, and I will look into it for you. Place blog in the subject line and email:

    Darwash, I will be glad to look into the rules of your ticket to Amman. It is correct most of our airfares are non refundable, and the terms are listed on your email confirmation, as well as under our terms and conditions.  If you forward me your 7 digit booking number, I will certainly research this for you.

    Hi, I have to give you that you have a point there. And I appreciate your feedback, this change my concept to you as company, but the issue is that this website and many more comes out, because the first point of contact, which is the most important one are usually what causes this kind of reaction, like my posting and many others. Thanks

    please help with reservation cancellation. When I was making my reservation the system did not confirm that I have a reservation. The message I received stated the reservation cannot be processed due to an option not being available. I tried different options but I got same message. After several attempts I closed the page. Now I have two bookings with Cheapoair plus a third one I made with another travel agency. All charges have been posted in my credit card for 4,000 dollars. Please help in resolving this problem. I have been calling the customer service line from 7:30 am to 11:17 pm Oct 5 and I called the day before too. Some of the service representatives tell me they will call me back after reviewing the reservations and yet I never get the call.

    Cheapoair is one of the worst mistakes I have made lately.  I bought a fare to Hawaii for two and they offered a $50 discount.  They immediately hemmed and hawed and said, "No you misread it; it was a $10 per person discount up to 5 people."  

    That was only the first problem.  I called back within 24 hours to change the reservation.  They were going to add a bunch of fees onto it--even though it was within 24 hours.  So I told them to cancel the reservation.  She said she would and said I would be refunded within 48-72 hours.

    9 days later the tickets have still not been refunded.  I used the chat feature, waited for about 15 minutes, and was finally told that someone would call me.  They never did.  I tried again.  Still no one contacted me.
    Finally tonight I decided to stay on the phone until I got some answers.  I was on the phone for over an hour.  The first representative asked me if I wanted to confirm my reservation. I said, "No, I cancelled it over a week ago."  He said that it was still active.  Well, I got a bit upset, asked to speak to s supervisor.  All of the representatives I spoke to at Cheapoair overspoke me, would not listen, kept talking over me and not letting me talk.

    I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, and was told that the next person was one.  I had to go through everything again.  He admitted that it showed that I had cancelled the reservation within 24 hours, but that the tickets were not cancelled with the airlines.  He said I could get a credit.  I told her I didn't want a credit; I needed a refund.  He said it wasn't possible because it was beyond 24 hours.

    I asked him if he was a supervisor.  He said no.  I told him I had asked to speak to a supervisor.  He said that I would have to hold.  I did for another 5 minutes or so and finally got someone named Percy who said he was a supervisor.  We kept on back and forth and he said he would try to help me.  I told him no, that he needed to fix the mistake that Cheapoair made.  He refused to acknowledge any mistake on Cheapoair's part.  He kept saying that they would TRY to help me.  Finally he said he would research it and get back to me within 5 days.  I protested until the end of the conversation, but he wouldn't budge.  

    This is an awful company, totally lacking in any customer service skills and basic tact.  They will not listen.  All of the representatives kept talking over me and not allowing me to finish a thought.  And now I may have lost about $1400 in airfare because of their mistake that they are refusing to acknowledge.

    I PURCHASED A HOTEL BOOKING AND CAR RENTAL SERVICE THROUGH CHEAPOAIR.COM . ALL WAS FINE UNTIL I WANTED TO CHANGE MY CAR RENTAL PICK UP TIME . I CALLED THERE 800 NUMBER THEY PROVIDED ME WITH ON MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION PAGE . I waited on the line for 30 minutes to talk to someone and they did not pick up . I tried again and nothing . The next day i tired for the final time to communicate with someone and someone picked up, he gave me no usefull information and just hung up . I quickly called my bank to cancel my card that was on file . This is a major scam website. Not to be trusted ! I will never book through cheapoair.com ever again ! Make sure you research before you do any type of online travel booking !

If all you need to do is modify the car times, you can also try and contact the car rental company directly for modification, however, if you need to make complete changes you can provide me with your 7 digit booking number and I can arrange for a call back.     Poor customer service! The agent provided misleading information, and charged us for the service that was never delivered. As a result, we ended up having to pay $ hundreds more at checkin time. They also failed to request the special mean that we had asked for. And they failed to respond to my calls and emails! Overall a very bad experience: ended up paying more than reputable sites, and got cheapo service!
