CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    It's always good to look before you leap I wanted to buy a ticket through this company but after reading the review I choose not to trying to but cheap always end up being more very diasppointed

      Janis, sorry to hear that you didn't take advantage of a fare that was within your travel budget. I assure you that  many blogs you see written come from people who may not agree with a policy, or not educated in how a reservation should work. Cheapoair will do our best to rectify the situation, which people tend to not report later. We have many happy and repeat customer's and I would be glad to answer any other concern's you may have.

    I was about book a flight with them, but after SOOOOO MANY websites with almost identical complaints about CHEAPOAIR.COM being nothing more than a disappointment, I rather spend the extra dollars and go with a reputable airline directly.   Thank you all for your feedback and I am sorry you all had to go thru all that, but be glad your voice is not drowned on the internet.

    Becarfull of chepoair they are scam and they just stolen my account and took 1400$ and did not receive any ticket. I just called the Interpol they will reach them and their ID address and names already known by the interpol

It seems you tried to make a reservation with us, so you entered in your credit card information, there would be no other way of us getting your details.     I bought 4 tickets with cheapoair from plattsburgh to myrtle beach. from september 1st to sept 8th.  arrived to the airport, joey my son, was told that the fly to come back from myrtle bach the 8 th they were not booked on it.  thought I had received a confirmation in april. they never advise us or reimbursed us.  if so, i would have booked an other flight. they had to pay 521,00$  more to come back from myrtle beach to plattsburgh. bad bad bad experience!!!  canadian deceived and desapointed, :(((((

    We used this company for the first time this year and was very pleased with everything from the pricing serviceand followup call! I will definitely use them again!!

    We purchased 9 tickets from Cheapoair 5 months prior to our annual family vacation.  While waiting for our flight to board, we realized that we were the only people in the terminal.  Our flight was delayed and then delayed and finally cancelled. During all of the delays there were no additional passengers joining the 9 of us in the terminal. We have realized that we paid for tickets for a flight that did not even exist.  So far we have been refunded about 1/3 of the ticket price.  Still working toward getting the rest of our money back.  Not only will I never use CheapoAir again.  I intend to advertise my problem to everyone.

      It seems to me that your flight must have existed or there would not have been any announcements that it was delayed.  But I don't have all of the details. However, it sounds like they cancelled it because there were so few passengers, which is totally unfair. You sure deserve every penny back.  What a nightmare.

    Marg booking # 14802819 & 14802895
    After reading answers to other messages, I decided to add my booking #'s (14802819 & 14802895) for the nine tickets purchased 5 months prior to our vacation for the flight that apparently did not exist.  We ended up Flying out with another airlines. The cost for the one way trip to our destination plus the initial purchase through CheapOAir  caused our expense to be double.  We were denied an instant refund for the CheapOAir tickets ( even though they were for a non existent flight). After numerous calls and complaints tiny refunds have been gradually been added to our charge card.  I have lost my patience waiting for the full refund and am taking legal action.

    Marge, after discussing this with your husband, turns out the inconvenience was caused by United airlines and not CheapOair.com. United continuously had flight delays, gate changes caused by  the delays, they even booked you with Delta airlines who later walked you back to United due to their flights were over sold. The end result was that United cancelled the flight and they did give you a refund. Our company has also compensated you for the Airtran tickets you had to purchase. This case stands resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

    I am about to book a cheaper round trip ticket from LAX to NYC from Nov 28 to Dec4. But it says "this is an alternate date" . What does this mean? Is this the final dates of the tickets? Do I need to confirm the dates with the airline? Thank you.

      Dear Customer, it means if you want that particular price, it's cheaper on this day, if you are flexible we provided you with an alternate date. If you cannot travel on that day for the lower fare, ignore the option and keep scrolling for your preferred travel date. It appears if you are seeing this message, the dates Nov 28-Dec 4, are more expensive.
