CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    I have been flying with CheapOair for more than four years and I have never had a problem. What I ask for I get.  Maybe because I don't fly on a specific date but, look for the cheapest date to fly.  The price thtiey state is the price I paid.   I flew out of Chicago for $300 less than flying out of Detroit.  However, my flight out of Chicago flew into Detroit. Never fugured that one out

    Please note what I found out after doing a little bit of research
    For tickets made in usa
    Tickets can be cancelled for free until midnight of the very next day (you have more than 24 hours)

    For tickets made on friday you can cancel it for free until monday midnight

    These guys charge you money as per their will and most probably when they change the ticket if the new ticket is for a lower price then they keep the difference as well‚ yes folks as they will cancel the older ticket for free
    Wanna play games eh?

    So in case of any kind of mistakes you can simply cancel you tickets in this period.

    Another thing‚ not all ticketd are non refundable. Do check with the airlines always.
    Well why check but buy from the airlines itself.

    We had a change in our booking - the email said to call or email immediately or our flight will be cancelled.  We emailed and tried to call now for two days - the hold times are for two hours and then disconnected.  The live chat is not live - you get a message that says someone will read it and get back to you.  Finally someone called us today, but said they couldn't help and they would transfer us to someone directly - but no surprise - we have been on hold now for over an hour.  I think we can call the airline directly and get help a lot faster.  We've learned our lesson - cheap means bad service.  I'd rather pay a little more in the future and get great service or next time, we'll make the reservations directly.  Now I'm concerned that we paid for cancellation insurance - it was steep because it is for international travel - if something were to happen and we needed to use it - I don't believe that they will honor anything.  Our flight is next week - and both of us are stressed out completely with this whole thing.  If only they answered their phones!  What are they doing - polishing their toe nails? and laughing about the poor dumb customers who fell for their ads?

    I used cheapoair to book a flight for work. I am traveling with a coworker, going to multiple countries (from the US) and we have shared flights. We needed a change a date for one of our flights and after calling cheapo twice, was told the extra charges would be between $1500 to $3000 (each). I was also told all other flights for less were already booked and sold out. I was also told I couldn't cancel any portion of my flight (to try to find a flight on another airline for the correct date) or my entire itinerary would be canceled as a "no show". Funny thing is, less than an hour after being told this, we contacted the airline directly and they had plenty of seats in the other flights I specifically requested, and did NOT charge us a single penny to change the dates. Screw cheapoair. They are pointless, and I will never book with them again.

    Sadly I agree with all the above complaints I had a very bad experience with this company cheapoairfares and I am still waiting for them to refund me $1000 for a flight that was cancelled because of their own INCOMPETENCE.   I would strongly DISCOURAGE any one from using this travel company. I found it to be TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL EXTREEMLY RUDE and DISHONEST. It's amazing it can still operate the way it does but thankfully with the internet and honest reviews like this and those above (unlike there own FAKE reviews they have posted)  it will hopefully very quickly be exposed for what it is.  BE WARNED THIS IS AN APPALLING TRAVEL COMPANY there are much better companies out there who give excellent service.

    All of these reviews ring true.  My experience with this company has been horrific.  I would strongly advise any one to avoid at all cost using this booking agency.

    Ripped Off
    I booked a return flight to Heathrow from Belfast City Airport for which I was charged £144.73 paid by my credit card.
    I have just checked my bank statement and find they have taken a further £197.33 a total of £342.07 from my account.
    I thought I was getting a cheap flight but now find I have been ripped off.
    This website should be closed down immediately.
    Do not use these people.

    I am sorry people have had such bad experiences; we have used cheap o air for about 4 years now, booked flights to Africa, USA, London and so many other places and not once have we had a problem.  I cannot speak to other people's experiences but mine have been good.

    I booked a flight with this company and was given a run around for the refund that I requested due to their erroneous booking/scheduling of my flights. I requested for a refund since January, it is now April.  I asked to talk to a manager or supervisor but was put on hold for 36 mins. and suddenly the line got disconnected. Never use this company, you will have a ton of headaches if you do.

      Henry, we do apologize for the delay in the refund. The refund is a unique request and we do have to wait for  the airline to make their decision on refunding a non refundable ticket. Normal processing time can take 60 days, but this was a "special" request. We are aware this is taking a bit longer than expected, but we are on top of it.
