Contact the National No-Call List. It is a real federal government office designed to deal with this sort of issue. NOTE: If the caller is using a recorded message, that may be worth contacting the office - this is one of their highest offending methods. Be aware that if the company calling you has done business with you in the past or is affiliated with a political party, there is nothing you can do about it. Here is the website:

    Hope this helps.

Card services is a daily, and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, bother.  Am considering ending phone service and opting for a wireless cell phone.  Will this end it? I hope so

Dear gomer I have filed 5 complaints with the National no-call list, for cardmember services, and 4 against rachel the same people i believe.Have talked to my phone company at&t they cant do anything but they want to sell you more services.I have talked to my attorney General here in kentucky to no avail.I have contacted the FBI they say they are investigating it but because they out source the numbers all over the usa,and overseas that it is hard to know who is behind all of this.So i took matters into my own hands with a portable airhorn needless to say no calls since july. But through a friend that tried to do what i did they are not awnsering when you press 1 to talk to them.

Anyone care to organize a mass complaint to authorities? And/or perhaps a group lawsuit if source of these calls can be determined? It probably isn't the real Card Member Services company, but surely someone could trace some of these numbers to the source.
Numbers that have shown up on my caller ID include 903-368-2029 and 404-226-7528 (that's an Atlanta area code). There's never a name, usually just "Wireless Caller."

Everybody post the numbers calling you, and let's have faith that someone with proper resources and/or authority will get to the source.

I get calls constantly from this company and it is extremely annoying.  I have asked not to be contacted again which falls on deaf ears.  The last time they called, I asked for a phone number and/or address.  They hung up on me.  How can we stop their harrassing?

I went ahead and filed an FCC form 1088 and hopefully this will take care of the harrassment.

i just got the call from the folks who will "make my life better" by lowering my interest rates if I will just give them my full account number.  :-)  I went along with it for a little while (thinking it was my card company) until I realized what was happening.  I told the woman to give me a number where I could call them back to make sure they were who they said they were.  The lady, who had been very nice until then, got rather testy.  Here she was, just trying to do me a favor, and I was being too dense to take advantage.
I told her (and her supervisor) that I would need time to think it over and in any case, I would never give out my credit card number over the phone.  By the way, when she got her supervisor, I was irresistibly reminded of the GEICO "My name Peggy" commercials, especially the one where the woman asked for a supervisor.

After I hung up, I called my real company and got a real lower interest rate on my real card.

I'm off to go buy a boat horn with the compressed air blast.  This could be fun.   :-)

BTW, the numbers that showed on my caller ID were:
    (970) 212-6173 - Colorado number
    (360) 529-6190 - Washington state number

Ah, that clever Mrs. Porter who made the two calls less than an hour apart!  She has apparently solved a lot of space-time questions that others have wondered about!

I'm getting them from (503)902-8112 on my cell phone.  We don't answer our home phone any more unless we know who is calling.  Did something change with the do not call list?  I've registered my home and call phones many times and they are not coming up as I just registered them.

Yes, this is a pain and ramping.  I try to keep them on the hunt for at least a minute in order to assemble information on these jerks.

Prior to telling the "live operator" that have succeded in wasting their time I use a top shelf emergency whistle after speaking softly and making sure they are waiting for information at top volume.

I have these listed as "Do Not Answer" on my cell phone. Every time I get a call from a new number, I save it.  It's been going on for 4 years. I am trying the air horn idea next week!

Pressing 1 doesn't get them off your back. They are sleazy operators who violate the law every day in every way. The failure to honor dnc requests, to identify themselves-these are all violations. Calling them and asking for DNC list add, does nothing. They are simply too sleazy to honor such. Don't even think about giving folks like this your credit card #.

Everyone should meticulously file a complaint with the FTC's DNC list process. They work only by accumulating info and complaints. Make sure to follow through. These people should be sued. If I knew who they were, I'd do it.

I ended up on this post after getting a call today on my cell phone. I heard a recording in a female voice saying something about card member services before I hung up. I've reached my max home phone call block limit on my phone, and went to Verizon to block this number, then decided to try and contact them because they don't give up -- they just use different numbers.

I followed the advise of a previous post and went to https://www.cardmemberservices.com/ccp/index. ... page/contact_us and got the number 1-877-999-3872

When the recording answered it only gave me 2 options (neither applying to my call, of course) so I pressed a wrong option number (pressing 000 didn't work for me) each time until I was finally connected to a human, a young friendly female who listened to my reason for calling.

She made sure I knew this wasn't the "National Do Not Call" list, and I told her I'm registered on there -- re-registered 2 months ago. I know that if you have an account with someone they can call you until you tell them not to. I told her I have several card accounts and don't know which one is the culprit.. that I just wanted my phone numbers put on their internal Do Not Call list.

She transferred me to the correct dept where my call was received by another young polite female who took my phone numbers and advised me it can take up to 30 days to take effect.

It took some doing, but if this solves the problem... woo hoo! (and I had to work at keeping myself "nice" on the phone, but I do think you catch more flies with honey)

"Card member services" is a scam operation run by criminals outside the United States.  They are using VOIP (internet) phones because they are cheap and easy to spoof so it appears they call from a different number from time to time.  What they are attempting to do is mimic a legitimate credit card company and try to coax credit card information, social security numbers and/or bank information out of their victims, all under the guise of trying to help you consolidate your credit card debt at a lower rate.

Seeing as how they operate outside the USA, they are untouchable by any federal alphabet soup agency (FTC, FCC, etc.) nor will your state attorney general be able to do anything either.  Being on the "Do Not Call" list is also ineffective and mentioning it to them will only elicit a "so what?" reaction most of the time.  The best way to react to them is:

    1) hang up immediately when you know it is them (or don't answer if you recognize them via Caller ID) OR
    2) if you want to have fun, press the required button to "speak to a representative", then blow a loud whistle into the phone when the rep comes on the line OR
    3) feed them all kinds of false information to waste their time

Please note if you engage in option 3, you should NEVER give them ANY real information and hang up if at any time you feel uncomfortable.  These people are criminals and can get nasty with you anytime to include foul language, sexual innuendos, and threats of violence to you and your family.

Hey you guys, you can call cardmember services and get Chase Bank and they are not making the calls. These calls are computer generated calls and if you block one number they are able to generate another one. They are even calling me on my cell phones and are also texting me.
