michele i called my phone company at&t they said they couldn't help me so I spoke to the ftc they said they were looking into it but some of the calls are all over the usa, and overseas,so I called my attorney general they said the FBI was looking into it but it was hard to track them down because of the different numbers.I told them i had a journal of numbers, dates, times, and cities, and states they were calling ,so that was no help.So i bought a airhorn i used it one time.they got angry and called me back cussing, told them everytime they call i was going to do it over and over again. He said he was removing my number from the computer, and that was back in July and i haven't recieved a call from them since!

I'll give it  a shot.  LOL!!  There is  unique dial respons that gives a pitch "I'm sorry, you have reached a number that is no longer in service or has been disconnected."  I'm told it is available commercially and when a computer receives the up front tones it removes the number from the data base.

If your on the Do Not Call List, file a complaint with the FTC on the do not call list website. It usually takes numerous people to file complaints before the FTC actually does something. So we need to recommend to everyone that gets calls from Cardmember Services to file a complaint.  I did.

The number you called is CHASE and they are not making the calls. THye are very nice and will make your account with them more secure but they can't stop the SCAM calls that we all are getting. Supposedly anyone can refer to themselves as cardmemeber services.  All we can continue to do is not answer the calls or give them any information.  You can report them to the FCC and Do Not Call List but all the reports I see that have been made don't seem to stop this either.

I set a new record today. had the card member services scamers on the phone for 31 minutes giving them [***] info. HAHAHHA 8 grand in Toys Are Us debt. She even called back asking why I would do that. Then when I told her I was part of the FTC's law suit she hung up. Last time my name was Barack Obama how can thiefs be so smart and yet so dumb at the same time. IN YOUR FACE

Rec'd numerous calls from 503-457-1836. Pressed 1 to get someone on the phone, hooked them by agreeing that I needed their services (didn't give any personal info though), asked them "how to get my number off their damn list" and hung up. 20 minute's later rec'd another call from a man in Minn stating that Card Member Svcs gave him MY number & MY first name & to call me to have his number taken off my list. Conversation from "Minn" started out not so nice, but then I thought something was "up" and we figured out what they did and I told "Minn" that I hoped they don't give out his name and number to the next person that goes off on them to get their number off their list. I called the FTC, got a little bit of a run around but go to.....FTC.gov, follow the instructions to file a complaint and you end up at complaints.donotcall.gov. We'll see what happens!!! I'm following through with who ever else I can get on the phone!!!

I've been getting calls on my cell phone about 1 or 2 times a week for the last few months. Same as everyone else, it's a recording that says Card Member Services and press 1 to lower your interest rates.  It's a total scam and I don't believe they are affiliated with any bank or credit card company.  If you ask them what credit card company or bank they represent, they just keep saying the generic "Card Member Services".  They will often immediately hang up if you mention anything about your # being on the national do not call list.  They have even yelled at me a couple times when I asked to no longer be called.  Today I received the call from 503-468-5531 (which registers as Astoria, OR).  Yesterday it was from 989-854-2368 (Michigan).  I'm not sure if they have callers all over the US or if they are just spoofing phone #'s.

I just tried calling back the 503-468-5531 back and it suprisingly gives an automated message saying "Thank you for calling back.  If you like to no longer receive offers from us press 1 and you'll be put on our do not call list.  Please allow 72 hours for this to take effect".  I pressed 1 and we'll see if this actually gets them off my back.  In the past when I called the #'s that showed on caller ID it just rang and rang.  Hope this helps others out there!

I have filed 5 complaints against cardmember services, and 4 complaints against so called Rachel. These are what i did myself not including anyone else!! It doesn't help. This has been going on for over a year!!I have talked to my attorney General, My phone company at&t,and FTC so thinking if you just keep reporting them it will stop, then you are a fool.I have even talked to the FBI and they say they are looking into it thats if you believe them.My calls stopped 3 months ago when i used my portable airhorn!!!When i was reporting them to the FTC my calls increased to 6 times a day and from 6am. till 11pm.They said since i liked reporting them to FTC they were going to call me more. Not anymore!!!!!

      Hi Bill,
I, too, have used a noise maker after pressing #1. I have a very loud whistle that I blow the moment I get a voice at the other end. Maybe this will stop the calls. I have gotten one call after the first whistle blow, but none since my second whistle blow. We shall see...

I have talked to real peaple several times and they assure me they will remove my number, but there is no end to the calls.  Each time it says it is my "Last call so I better take advantage".  But it goes on and on for over a year now.

Started receivning calls from the pain in the butt company. After receiving one call, I called them back and tried to explain that I was on the Do Not Call list. They hung up on me. Have tracked the calls and noticed they come from locations all over the country. So far they've been routed through OR, SC, CA, PA and IA. I've even gone to the www.donotcall.gov and registered a comnplaint. They have not responded. Cardmember Services will be caught.

Dear determined this cardmember service out source peoples numbers all over the usa and even overseas.I have talked to my attorney General,My phone company,FTC, and even the FBI department. All to no avail. The FBI said they were looking into it but because the calls are from all over they are having a difficult time finding out who is behind this scam. They all agree that this is a scam, but stopping it is a problem.

I'm getting calls too.  Try filing an FCC Form 1088, this is what I have done.  I think, honestly, the FCC is more vigilant in tracking this kind of thing down.
