I recieved an automated call from 425-390-8192-Renton, WA and then was put through to a "approval dept."  I asked if he was calling from one of my cedit card companies and he said "NOPE"  So I asked him: So if your not calling me from one of MY credit card companies then how do you get my credit balance info from them???  He said I had to give him my credit card number and my zip code.  At that point I hung up.  Less than one minute later I received a call from 970-212-6173  I did not answer but did call back to see who it was and all I got was an voicemail that is not set up.  I'm sure it's the same scaming network of people.

I would like to find out where they are calling from, if any one in the phone company has the ability to trace the calls back to their origin? I think I would even Pay for this information. May be some one could reuin their day. I've recieved their calls in the middle of the night, early in the morning, late in the morning. they might stop for a week or two, but by the time you relax they're back at it again.I bet they get a kick out of this column, and all these complaints. I have discribed Rachel's heritage to her on several occations to no availe. She just waits a few days and calls me back.I'm a sevety year old man, I don't need a sexy young female voice to talk to, its hard on my heart.

This will not end it.  They are calling on my wireless phone.

Judging by how far back in years these complaints go, if the Card companies and phone companies cared about they're customers, they would have done something about these calls. I average about 4 a week.  I just put the phone down and wait the the disconect beep.

    Google "card member services" fraud.

This article outlines it really well:

503-902-8112 and several other numbers call me frequently. They claim that my credit card is in good standing balance.... That's funny - I have never owned any credit cards! They will not remove my name from their list, they just switch the numbers they call me from.

The FCC DoNotCall list is a joke, but I keep pretending it should be helping (and I keep reporting people there.

there are certain legal exceptions. If I'm a customer, they can legally call me.  Does anybody know if I press whatever key it takes to switch from the recording to "Rachel" if that legally makes me their customer?

I just tried this and hope it works.  I had to press 0 many times for it to go through.  We were getting multiple calls a day and everytime from a different number.  So blocking is impossible.  Fingers crossed!

I have found a way to forward their calls to the appropriate government agency.  Now every time they switch to another number I will add it to the list and away they go.

I'm an attorney.  I am SO ANGRY.

Receiving the same phone calls on my personal mobile number (that is also registered with the Fed Do Not Call Registry).  The number calling is 503-468-5531.

The company's Oregon Registration records can be found at http://egov.sos.state.or.us/br/pkg_web_name_s ... Q&p_print=FALSE.    The principal place of business is listed as 1025 ElDorado Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80021.    They are organized under Delaware, (the most business-friendly state with the most lenient laws about these things).    The Registered Agent for the Oregon company is Corporation Service Company, 285 Liberty St NE, Salem, OR 97301.    (The Registered Agent is where you would serve a lawsuit (Summons & Complaint) on the company).    I will be sending both of them a certified letter on my legal letterhead to "CEASE AND DESIST".    I will also be tracing the filings and registration records in Colorado and in Delaware, and if there are any public corporate holding companies, I will be investigating SEC records to continue to track these nuisances down.    Feel free to send me an e-mail message if you would like, to ScottRod10@gmail.com.    I am not asking for your legal business -- and in fact there is precious little that could even be done about it in a bunch of one-off civil actions.  I'm just an annoyed citizen who is getting sick and tired of these nuisances, who just so happens to be in a line of business to be able to lift the cover off these turkeys.

The thought of a class action does, however, sound attractive.

I am glad to see someone like you doing something about Cardmember Services,I can not seem to get them to stop,In addition to the calls and trying to get them to remove my numer I have also had to deal with very vulgar reps from that Co.Just last night was told.I am an attorney,I am coming to your State City this summer,I take this as a threat from these people that must be use to complaints.
So how it is they can not be stopped with the way they operate, switching numers, that's all they have to do.I am on the no caller list but that does not face them eighter.
So hoping you can do something.I will also turn them in.

Scott, there are some of us who bought into their scam. Unfortunately stopping payment on the credit card, reporting to the Attorney General, notifing the Sheriff dept, calling them tell I'm suffering finger fatigue ; all to no satisfaction. Mr Somners admitted by phone 6 weeks ago I deserved the refund, but he needed the proper documentation from Chase saying the money was creditied back to WM & T. I told him he received the money June 5. Don't you check your accts??? Here I am later, no refund. Their maibox is full since Thurs. Class action sounds very attractive to me since they appear to be not cooperating. Total time evolved 5 1/2 months. And get this, I'm still getting calls daily trying to score another transaction. Isn't one enough?????

Can't hurt to file an FCC 1088.  It only takes a couple minutes to complete online at https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action

I like what user "Yahoo!" mentioned above.  If we all start forwarding these calls to our states' Attorney General's office, or to our U.S. Senators' office numbers, I would bet it becomes an issue that will get resolved.

Cardmember Services has called at least 4-5 times each week, sometimes twice daily.  Lately, I have been waiting for the "live" operator and giving them a piece of my mind.  I've repeatedly reported them to the "Do Not Call - Violators" government site.  These folks are shameless!

    Shocked by what they said.
I've been getting the recorded messages on my home phone for a while, telling me it was urgent I call member services to lower my rates.  I never called them back, because I pay my card off each month and quite frankly didn't care.  Today however, I received the same recorded message on my cell phone and decided to push 1 just to find out which card was calling and to ask them to stop calling.  I quickly realized it was a scam when they wouldn't give me a company name, so I asked them to please remove me from their call list.  At this point he acted like he couldn't understand me and said, "your voice is all jumbled".  When I clearly said that I knew he could hear me and that I wanted the calls to stop, he said, and I quote, "It sounds like you have a [***] in your mouth" - at which point he hung up on me.  This is definitely not a legitimate company.  These people are after your credit card numbers.

Whoever is behind 503-468-5531, stop calling me!  I am receiving these unsolicited automated calls on my cell phone and I want them to stop.  My cell phone is my business phone and you are tying it up with telemarketing calls.

Just got these phone calls 30 minutes apart:

917-398-9726.  New York, NY.  The WCA, offering me a free home security system if I will put signs in my front yard.

503-468-5531.  Astoria, Oregon.  Did not pick up, but there are other spam reports from this # online.
