They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I too am a victim of the harassment from this company.... I was $34.00 short on my Jan. pymnt and the lady (Ms. Edwards) called me saying my account was in recovery for non-payment and that my car will be taken. She also was very rude and hung up on me when I told her that I already mailed out a $160.00 payment and could show proof of that since my bank card was lost. They are very unprofessional

    All file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The more complaints they get the sooner they will investigate. The on-line form takes about 5 minutes to fill out. It is very liberating.

    Wow! they just contacted my aunt about my "vehicle" and said it was "urgent" left a number and a "Mrs. Perkins" is the one who called.  Had not spoke to my aunt in a while.  I put her down as a reference 4 years ago.  I thought someone was trying to steal my identity or something. I made a payment 2 weeks ago though (always through Bank of America bill pay).  I'm feeling a little shook now because I have had my car for over 3 years now it will be paid off in October and I never had a late payment.  February however my hubby got hurt at work during the big blizzard in MD and had to apply for workers comp, but because everything was shut down for like a week there was a delay processing his workers comp.  I called and asked them to put in on the end of the loan, the rep assured me that if I paid half that I could just catch up in March and it would not be reported, because the had reached the max on extensions due to the bad weather.  Now I'm wondering if they lied to me.

    Is seems these people have a history of Harrasement. I am in contact with an agency that can hopefully help. I am getting calls at work and on my cell phone. They are very rude. I have tried to reason with them on numerous occassions. Now they are threatening to gartnish wages and visit me at work. I will be doing everything I can to stop this harrasement.

    I too, suffered from the harrassment of this company, I actually e-mailed someone regarding taking a class action suit against them.   First of all, I had a 5 year loan with them and paid 3 years faithfully-some were some days late, never over 30 days late.  But even 1 day after its due date, I received harrassing phone calls, they left my information on work phones (disclosing my debt to other representatives that answered the phone at my job). I am DONE w/their harrassment and lack of concern to make arrangements.  I hope we can sue them and put them out of business!!!

    i would love to sue them they have put me thru hell and back and they are telling me they are gonna garnish my wages what the heck????? can they actually do that i have dealt with the compnay for 3 years and up til right i have never had a problem making my payments..... but they have harrassed me for 3 years be a day late and you can look forward to at least 10 rude, hateful and threating call from theses spawn of satan......

    oh i deal with a mrs freeman or a mr carter which by the way both think they are holier than thou..... man they are very hurtful rude and freakin crude....i want to be on board with lawsuit

    yes they are all the same i think they reproduce amoungst themselves.....i have been threatened that are gonna garnish my wages and they tell me that they r not in the business of repo ing .......i am tired of them period

    I am VERY familiar with Mrs. Freedman and Mr. Edwards! They leave mnessages on my bosses voicemail saying they are calling about my vehicle and I'd "better" call before 5pm. They have asked my boss for detailed info regarding address of place of employment. I've received as many as 8 calls in one day !!! they should be sued for all the harassment~

    They are constantly calling my friends and family. I can't believe how rude they are! They called my mother at work and told her a bunch of lies!
    Yeah, I lost my job and just obtained a new one. I am trying to get caught back up but it seems impossible!
    I don't know how they figure out my bill, but no matter how much I pay I can't get caught up!!

    Anyhow, I would love to sue the hell out of them!!

    Nice msg Tiffany, Let me explain something. I lost my job. I had a hard time finding a new one. They refused to work with me. I paid as much as I could a month until I got a new job. I informed them of my situation.
    Not only did they refuse to work with me, they called all my friend, family, coworkers and neighbors to tell them how much I owed and that they were going to repo me.
    If YOU owe someone money, you think they should call your friends and family and tell them all about it? Even Lie and tell them you are months behind when you are only really 1 or 2 days behind?
    YES, I owe them money. If they didn't want to work with me, thats fine. Repo the car-BUT THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO CALL MY MOM, MY MOM'S BOSS OR MY FAMILY AND HARASS THEM. THEY CALLED MY MOM 16 TIMES A DAY!!! I SENT THEM THE CHECK AND IT ARRIVED AND WAS CASHED ON TIME!! THEY STILL CALLED HER!!
    I AM READY TO FILE MY LAWSUIT!!

    Hey I too have had several problems with CPS!! My car just got totaled and was kinda glad not to have to deal with them anymore. They are doing nothing to help out the insurance company and even lied to me and told me they were contacting my GAP insurance people. Thankfully when I went to look at a new car the woman at the dealership told me to follow up with the GAP insurance people, which I did. They told me there was nothing. Also when trying to get a new car they said that only 2 of my payments were on time on my credit report, which is a LIE!!! Yes I did have some late payments but not 33 out of 35! They would call and tell my employees all my business at work if I was a little late. They even told one employee if I didn't get to the phone they were going to tow it!     I am also a victim of CPS, they threatened my wife while she was on her death bed!!!! Since she has passed they refused to work with me in anyway, they have since repoed the car although I told them that I had enough money to get caught up on the account.     I am so happy to find this site. CPS also called my neighbor. This neighbor is someone that I have already called the police on. I never gave them her # to call. She came over furious that CPS called her.  Once again I almost had to call the police on her thanks to CPS. They even called my mom and asked her to make the payment. They asked her if she raised me not to pay my bills. WOW! I told them I was laid off. They even said over a year ago that they didn't take checks anymore. The next call was the check machine was down. The next call was that they just refused to take a check from me even though I had never defaulted on one with them before. They lie and bully. They even told my 12 year old that they were coming to get the vehicle. I wasn't home, so she was terrified as the truck was here. I called the Attorney Generals office and they said I needed to send CPS a certified letter to CPS stating that the phone calls were to stop or I would take legal action. I am so in it if anyone files a class action lawsuit. I also forgot that one time CPS called me just as work was starting up. I told them I made the payment via the website just before i came to work. They wanted a confirmation #. I told them where I was and they stated to call them first thing in the morning. I told them I couldn't because my baby had surgery first thing in the am. The lady screamed at the top of her lungs telling me she was coming to get the vehicle.     I would like to join any class action suits also. They have called me harrassing me and my family. They called my aunt even after she asked them not to. They call me at work and threaten me. They call over and over again even if I am in a meeting. And I have a serious problem with them saying CPS called. I am a single mom and my co-workers have all been told that CPS is calling for me. That looks so bad. It gave people an impression that was incorrect. When I asked them to stop saying CPS is calling they said they would. But they never did. If I don't agree to pay right over the phone they threaten to call my corporate and tell them that I am not paying my bills. They can not do that! You can reach me at: shannondw99@aol.com

    Ok...has anyone had the the experience of actually trying to make a payment and have been have been treated bad by CPS employees? well, I have! This weekend I called to take care of a payment for HSN. Ms. Davis took my payement, but she ran my card for more money than the bill stated. So, I asked her to please run it for the amount stated on the bill. She got upset and said, "Are you crying over a few pennies?", then she promptly hung up the phone. I called back again and she answered and said, "I put it all back on your card, I didn't run your card!" and she hung up again. I called back and asked for the supervisor and she said, " Call back on Monday!" and hung up. I called back today, the supervisor answered and was very rude! He would not listen to me. I was trying to make a formal complaint and he hung up. What should I do? I am trying to make a payment and I am having a hard time just doing that. I want to be in on any class action lawsuit.
