They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    Nice trolling Kevin. It's painfully obvious that you are an employee of CPS. FYI I have had loans through other companies in the past. All I ever got from them was a phone call asking for an explanation why I was late, which happened rarely. Once I explained the problem there were no followup harassing calls to me or my contacts. No other company calls two weeks prior to the due date of your payment to ask for money like CPS does. No other company calls their customers "loser" or "deadbeat" during a call either. I could go on but you know the rest. In summation, no other company, nor their employees, is as unprofessional and shady in their business practices. You work for a barely legal loanshark outfit.

    This company and its employee's are a freaking joke!!Its obvious you don't need any collections experience or even telephone etiquette at all. All they care about is the payment bottom line. There is no such thing as customer service here and if your interest rate is 14% and above can you blame them? I think overally they should be respectful to their customers but the thing that bothers me is there is no customer service department its only a collections department...lol I can't wait to pay my last payment on this piece of [***] company. Everyone there should just kill themselves literally! I wish someone would call me 7 times in one day and I'm late one freaking day i'd cuss the entire organization out. I only found this page because I was trying to find their website to make my payment ontime before the phone calls start...lls stupid [***] finance company they'll never be a top notch finance company they'll always be around for the effed up people... umph!!     I was researching for any complaints or any feedback about this company "CPS" and I found this site. I read all your complaints, your experiences with this company's unprofessional, rude, low class customer service representatives! I agree in all of you and felt what you have been through. It just sucks to be dealing with these people, they have no empathy of your hardships. I got my car in 2006, I have been making payments on time, I was never late until this year that I lost my job. I am a single mother and has been struggling with making ends meet. I lost my job in early 2009 and found a new job that same year in Sept. and lost that job again about two months ago. In 2009 I was receiving unemployment checks and been making my car payments on time in spite of the financial hardships because I need my car for my job search. Until this year when I lost my most recent job, I have been behind on my payments for just 1 month (my EDD check is not enough for my rent, car and auto insurance bills). CPS have threatened me to take my car away, they call me everyday, they said they won't stop calling not until the payments is brought up to current which is what I have been trying to make arrangements to. If all of you will go ahead with the company's lawsuit, count me in here is my email address: gem382004@yahoo.com Thanks and the best of luck to us all!

    Its not about not paying bills, and you never know what might happen to you or your family down the road. Its not good to use that " you should pay your bills" [***]. I completely expect a collection call every day to my employer and any contact I put down as a reference. However these people have cussed my grandmother out and told her they are going to report my car stolen, told my friend they were the police and they would be there to interview her about my where abouts. They have released all the details about my account to anyone who will listen. And this is all over being about a week late. But will never leave a rude message because of course its recorded. Best thing to do, tell them its being recorded and they are not so ballsy. Hope you never have to experience this and fall off that high horse your on.

    Eric did you write a letter to Judge who sided with CPS by default and explain that the reason you didn't show up for court is because you didn't even know you were suppose to show up in court on the day of the judgement because CPS deliberately had the court to send the court papers to your old address instead of your new address which they had on file? The judge can reverse his decision once he realizes that he was used. Not only will he reverse his decision he will levy a hefty fine against them for manipulating the court in their favor. You may need to get an attorney to file an appeal. The judge has to reverse his decision if you never received the notice to appear in court.

    I would also like to be apart of any lawsuit against CPS. Like everyone has said they call you relentless the next day after you have made a payment and start harassing you for the next payment. When you try to get them to either lower the payments are at least allow you to split the payment in half they say now you can't do that. Then they say to you it's obvious that you can't afford the car. What is the condition of the car. I don't even want to describe them because I may something that I'll regret later.     I have been making payments since 2005 very good record with them with few lates.  I got hurt in April and now owe my July and Aug payment.  Had set up something with them to put the July payment off until the end of the contract and make my Aug payment.  Did this with Mr. Ben Harder.  Another rep called me on Aug 13 and told me that I had not spoken to anyone in over a month and if I did not have the payment in that day by 1pm they would have an agent out after my car.  I could not make the payment until Mon and told her so. She was very rude and called me a liar. I was very offended.  

    I have been paying on it for over 5 yrs and have less than a year to go, but I parked the car, took the plates off and canceled the insurance.  They had said they would be sending someone out after the car.  That was two weeks ago. Car is still sitting in my driveway.  I finally answered their phone call today and asked them why they had not picked up the car.  Now they want ME to sell it to someone else for substantially less than I owe on it.  

    They can't make me, a good customer with a good record, a deal to lower my payment until I go back to work.

    They have so many complaints that it is going to take the consumer to take the first step to stop them. Follow the cases already in federal court that they have going now and all of us get together and get this class action suit going!

    Please count me in as well on any class action against this company.  They refuse to move my due date which would make it easier on me to make my payments. I received a very rude call from them, and told them to call me back when they could speak in a more respectful tone and hung up. They put my account in reposssion status, and I was only 2 weeks behind.

    I have just went through the same thing with them and I even have a very harrasing and threatening email from a man I was talking to and hung up on after he told me to shut up.  No one there would give me his name or his supervisors name.  All they woukd do is say we are picking up your car, even though I have been out of work at Mayo having surgery.  I can't stand these people.  Many more complaints, please include me in any lawsuit.  nurserene@yahoo.com

    Please include me in anything you file for harrassment, fees I don''t know about, rudenewss, etc.  I even have a recording saved where a man called and left a very hostile and threatening message.

    Ok, here is BOTTOM line. EVERYONE has to file with the BBB and the FTC then you need to send letters to your own state attorney general and the state that they are calling you from. If you don't do this, they will NEVER be stopped! DO IT NOW! A lawsuit is pending and this needs to be done!

    been dealing with these people for four yrs now and have had nothign but issues no one returning phone calls unwilling to letyou talk to supervisers and just plain out attitueds from about 95%of the employees. now after i spent 8 yrs with the army i havent been able to find work having to support my 2 sons off of unenployment. that ran out and i didnt start school till just recently so yeah i fell behindnow im inschool getting my VA bennifits started my payments agin but my car still got repoed. i didnt know about now that i even had any kind of right till recently. i have counted so far 8 things thay they have done to me thats against federal law as well as 35 law suites that a currently being pursued against this company for receving the same kind of treatment so if any one can point me in the right direction to pursue lagal acctions i would greatly apprecate it

    I am in on this! I bought my car in 2007 and just found out when I went to try and refinance it that I have paid for my car once and I still owe more than my car is worth! They have a 80-90% interest tacked on to loans.  My email is mommatracey@yahoo.com and I live in the VA, DC, MD area.
