They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I GIVE THIS COMPANY AN FFFFFFFF. They had the nerve to ask me where I was located because they were going to come find me and then claimed my mother gave them my work address in order to come find me. They are the worst company to do business with. They try by any means necessary : lying, bullying threatening, etc.

    I'm in on the suit!!!  CPS has called my work, faxed personal items to our fax machines, contacted family, and even contacted my ex's family.  They told my ex that I was delinquent on my account & they wanted to reposes my truck. I am in the process of going to court with him, so now he has that to try to use against me.  I was on maternity leave after having a baby & we fell behind. (Times are hard for just about everyone these days)  Yesterday, when they called me at work, the "manager" literally told me that I should have thought about my truck payments & finances before being stupid & having a baby.  While on a 3-way call with the same guy & one of my family members, this guy had the audacity to tell me that I needed to ask my mother & mother-in-law if they had any jewelery I could sell, and that if I needed to stand on the corner to get them their money, that that's what I needed to do.  I was told by one lady that they were going to come get the truck.  The next guy told me they didn't want the truck, only their money & they didn't care how they had to get it, but they would definitely get it.  My email is beenia16@yahoo.com.

    hey i'm in on any litigation on this company, they have called my job and discussed my financial status with fellow co-workers. They have called my family members and discussed my vehicle and finacial status with them. They call with rude and degrading comments. I know there has got to be some way of stopping them. Can anybody please get mw connected with someone to hepl me stop this company from their illegal practices.I have tried to call supervisors who wont take your calls, representatives from the company wont give their name or employee numbers. I asked to have conversations recorded and they hang up on you. I have been told by a lady to bring my keys outside and be ready for the tow truck, and that i needed to go pawn or steal something no matter as long as i got them their money!     I was 28 days late, today is 30 day. They started calling everyone that I know. "Ms/Gonzalez" is totally rude...how can these ppl go to sleep at night knowing they are evil like this. She told me 2 days ago "have a good life & good luck if your vehice is out there in the morning", i tried speaking to a supervisor and she refused to place anyone on the line...she kept talking & talking & talking and i finally told her..."[***] shut up & let me talk for a minute" so the call was disconnected and so i called back and she asked me to quit harrassing her at work....really????....time to take legal action.....Ms.Gonzales is so rude. Well after looking out the window this morning so i can take trash out there was a tow truck parked in front of my home....no mama (Ms.Gonzalez)...your not messing with me....waiting for their ass to open so she & I can talk again and make a payment and what else she comes up with.

    I totally agree with everything everyone is saying about CPS, they are horrible.  I bought a SUV back in 2007 for 24,000, I still owe 17,600 and the car is only worth at best 6,000 to 10,000. I am buried in this car, I have tried to work with the company but thats impossible I have had numerous threats from the company and have had them tell my job they were coming to get my car when I was only 3 weeks late on my payment. There is no way I can ever get out of this car, I still have 3 yrs left on it and I can't even trade it because the dealership won't give me enough money for it.  CPS are shysters, they don't care about your situation, only about there money.  I want out of this vehicle, but don't know how.  I think CPS should be shut down or penalized for the way they treat people and the money there taking from all of us.  Anyone have any suggestions. I will definitely take part in a Lawsuit if there is one, I have voicemails and written harrassment evidence against these people. They are terrible business people.

    I am also interested in this, I had to deal with CPS on a monthly basis, they have the worst customer service reps in the world. I was receiving calls after my account was set up on automatic payments. They threatened that they were sending a recovery unit to pick my car up. And then they would call my family and inform them that I am being irresponsible and if they see me to tell me to pay my car note. Then a rep calls me and tells me to stop being stupid about the situation. I better not hang up on him or I won't have to worry about the car anymore. I finally decided that the payment was too much for me to afford so I called CPS in Dec of 2010 and told them that I needed for them to come and pick the vehicle off, they told me that they did not take vehicles back as voluntaries. So I stopped paying them so that they HAD to come and get the car. Feb came along and I still had the vehicle, Finally the loan collections department called me trying to work something out for me, I informed her that I could no longer afford the vehicle and that I needed for them to either come and pick it up or I will drop it off at the dealer where I purchased it from. They suggested that I take the car to carmax and see how much they would give me.Carmax offered me $5,000. I contacted CPS and they said No that they could not accept that offer that if Carmax gave me $6,000 they would consider the account paid in full. That did not happen. Finally I took the vehicle to Hyundai for them to recover the vehicle. They ended up selling the car in an auction for $7,700. and have the nerve to tell me that I still owe them $2,000. In what exactly?? IDK!! I am still battling that!! Please contact me @ nlopez119@yahoo.com with any info on lawsuit against this company.

    that is exactly what I ended up doing. A voluntary repossession and even after that one of their reps called me threatening that if I don't make a payment they will send out a recovery unit to pick the car up, AFTER they already had possession of the vehicle!!

    As a former work at cps I know how rude and unprofessional they can be not all of use were that way but a lot were it is the way you are trained. While I worked for them I collected in a professional manner and still some people were rude to me the door does swing both ways. I'm not sure How I could help but I have seen a number of things they've done that are wrong and possibly illegal. Ill keep this page tabbed and put in my two cents where its due.

    I have been dealing with CPS for almost 7 years now.  I just make my payment when I can and don't answer my cell.  They call me several times a day from different numbers and say the meanest things.  I got laid off last year.  They need to get sued!!

    Where do I send the letter to? I am fed up with them. They are trying to act like I am super late when I am only 10 days late in 4 years!

    I went on line to the Attorney General in CA today and filed a complaint just google Attorney General in CA and there is a form to fill out and just hit send.

    They are the most God awful company I have ever dealt with and hopefully with all the complaints people will see and not do business with them. "If your smart you will stay away from this place." Hopefully someday it will cost them enough to drive them out of business. Keep your fingers crossed.

    I purchased a car 4 years ago, and CPS financed it! Have I ever been late? Yes...Have I tried to work something out with them??? Several times! I had to quit my job about 21/2 years ago, to care for my Mother, who by the way was in her 90's! Paid my notes every month, was late on several occasions, when other bills, medical, etc., had to come first! When my Mother passed last year, I contacted them to let them know I was having a hard time, they suggested me letting someone take up my notes! Fine...did that..my son-n-law said he'd take the vehicle. From then on when they'd call, they would tell him, they could not discuss anything with him. Uh, their the ones that told me to find someone to take over the pymnts, now they want talk to him! OK...about three weeks ago, they called, he answered, he was trying to work out a date he could pay, since he gets paid bi-weekly. They continued to tell him he was just as irresponsible and ignorant as I am (me)! They ask if he had a checking acct., he told them no, but he did have a Visa prepaid debit card that he would put the money on! No, they wouldn't take that! They ask him if he knew anyone who had an acct that he could deposit the money into, so they could collect the pymnt! After thinking for awhile, he ask my daughter-n-law if he could use hers...she said yes! Two days later, he deposited the money into her acct. Well, she had a ACH pymnt come out, whick caused the money he put in to be short! OMG, they started calling, and we had no idea they didn't get their money! My daughter-n-law was out of town, and it took him almost a week to get what money was left out of her acct. The next call they made was to say they were repoing to car, and would "NO" longer work with us! (didn't know they had) They preceded to call my son-n-laws Father, who lives 3 hours away, that has not spoken to us in 2 years, and ask them if they knew where I was,and if they saw me, to tell me they were reporting my vehicle stolen! The car is still here..and I don't know which way to turn! I will "NEVER" use them again, if I have to walk everywhere I go, and I will "TELL" anybody and their brother...DO NOT USE CONSUMER PORTFOLIO SERVICES to finance anything, not even an out-house! They "ARE" the rudest, most demanding, people I've ever talked to! They "DO" act like your lying to them, regardless if your not! They continue to call you, even "AFTER" they've left a message on your machine,(which by the way is harassment), and when you make good on one payment, their calling about the next! WHAT CAN I DO?
