They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    The actions of CPS staff are unbelievable! If I am two days late the phone calls start. it has gotten so that I have blocked their number(s) and they insist on contacting a relative who filed a formal complaint with the agency that regulates unwanted phone calls. CPS has been told in writing via public service to not contact myself nor my relative. There has been occasion that I have received a minimum of six calls regarding a late payment.  I have intentionally been late because of the ridiculous harassment by CPS. I have one late payment on my credit and I have had my vehicle for four years. Someone has got to be able to stop these folks and their account management practices. I am just about through paying for my vehicle and I cannot wait to get from under CPS. One idiot told me if I did not want them calling me then I should trade my vehicle to Car Max. What kind of pressure are CPS employees under that the customer service is awful?  I often times wonder....

    I have had multiple problems with Cps I was in a auto accident when I was 18 weeks prenant and was unable to work and called them to see if since we would be late with a payment they could give us an extension all I got was called names and told I was pathetic.  Now 4 years later unable to get out of the car loan that I have not been late since that time and it was never reported late to the credit places.  I had my hours cut and the car is a piace of crap that has done nothing but break down since the week after we got it I called them to tell them I couldnt afford the payment and I got screamed at agian called worthless and made to feel like it was my fault my work is cutting hours.... There must be something we can do I am so upset about this and Now tomorrow Iam calling cps to tell them they can come get the car... I can not afford it any more I was ripped off to begin with and this is just Bullshi* If there is anyone out there in this situation please email me 2 heads are better than 1!

    I would alos like to be included in the suit.  They are the rudest people I have ever spoken with. I dont even have an account with them my husband does in his name soley. They are ridiculous They call anyone and everyone that is related to you even if they are not on your reference page.  They do a google search and call anyone and everyone that has the same last name as you.

    These people are crazy .I dont know how they got my Manger number. they called her. telling her to tell me to pay me bill. what  do you do I have filed a report with the atty general office and I have told them  to stop call me at work. and they still do. they will not get a dime from me until they  stop calling me. they have call people at old address where I live looking for me they call my father,sister and eney one that will answer the phone they are crazy.

    These people called my work after I told them I would call them back with a confirmation # of the payment and told my place of employment they needed address of employment information so they could garnish my check...UNBELIEVABLE

    Need Answers.
    If so many complaints are filed with the BBB and nothing is done to put these terrible people out of business.  Then now I question the BBB. I'm also a victum of CPS.  I will pay double payment to hurry and pay off my car.  But what I don't understand is how they are still around.  Are they funded by the mobb, maybe a member of congress? The person that owns this company must have very good connection with the BBB.  If an attorney is reading this please take a stand and help tax paying citizen that work hard every day to resolve this problem.  Our family and friends and co-worker and children should not be victums of this company.  Can some one please explain to me why they are still in business.

    I think we should all rent a bus and take a road trip to their office in Texas. Maybe take them out to lunch. The vehicle in question is not in my name so I am going to go out on a limb and post my email. I think if enough of us get together something can be done. There are numerous sites with complaints. Somehow we all need to get together.

    Iam sitting here reading all these things and we are going through the same thing. We have had our explorer for two years and been through hell and back with these ppl. I would def like to do something about them. You can do this to ppl.     We told them to pick up the car over and over again and they wont come and get it. We were told they would be here between 12 and 3 and they never showed up. Then they called us at 3:30 and they want to make a deal with us to settle this. So good luck. Now it is two days later and they will answer our calls or contact us. so we have no idea what is going on.

    OMG! I was totally entertained while reading your well-written comment!! I found myself laughing out loud, shame on me..I too am a customer of CPS but, of Irvine, California and a resident of Louisiana..did I say that correctly?? Anyway, my reason for having a loan with CPS is because of my poor credit due to an ex-husband leaving me with unpaid bills that I couldn't afford to pay, by the way, not created by me, and had no choice but to go through CPS for a car loan..I am trying my best to make my payments on time but, don't always succeed..I am a single mom working non-stop to support myself, my two children and one who doesn't believe in the welfare system ,if you are one who is totally capable of working, and surviving at poverty level..Guess my point being that there are people out there who are really trying to pay bills on time but, can't always make it ON TIME!! Just my little unimportant opinion..

    The first thing that I am going to attempt is to forward all the posted complaints from this site and others to the BBB. Second, a friend of a friend is a lawyer. I will send him a copy as well and see if we may have a case. Wish me luck.

    By the way do any of you folks live in the WV, VA, DC, or MD area?

    Just thought that I would add that yesterday I happened to see a segiment on CNN with Clark Howard (Finiancial Advisor). There is no doubt that CPS is breaking consumer laws with their tactics.

    Why don't you guys try paying your bills or leaving within your means. There is no debtor's prison in this country if there were you would be in it instead of just being harrassed.

    This company is a joke and my payments are due on the 6thy of each month and if my payments are not there on the 6th here comes the phone calls. I lost my grandmother and my dad ans since been placed in a nursing home. I told CPS that I have some family issues that is the reason why my payments have not been maded promptly like I have either round or about the 6th as required. CPS had the nerve to ask me to explain in more detail and that they wanted a post dated check for my payment. I was at work no doubt unable to say what I really wanted to say at the time. I not more than a week or two behind with my payments and they still call all time of day, night and weekend early or late at night. I know that bills have to be paid. But, they can at least wait until the bill is at least a month behind before threatening to take my car. I will not under no uncertain terms give them a post dated check due to they will run it before time and I have had this to happen before. If I could get out from under CPS, I would in a heart beat. They are a rude company and have really rude workers that really don't care. I wish that I could sue them for the harassment and mental abuse that they do.

    Today, I received a harassing phone call of absolute silence from 800-757-0211.

    Excuse me.  I have been harassed at my unlisted number for over 1-1/2 years by dozens of credit collections agencies for a Wanda Jones' debt, a person who I've never known, who was previously assigned to the phone number she no longer has, that phone number now (since over 1-1/2 years ago) assigned by Time Warner the U.S. Department of Education federal student loan of Wanda Jones who they identified by SSN last 4 digits. (I have never had any such loan).  So I phoned the U.S. Department of Education, they were very rude, agreed it was Wanda Jones' (of that last 4-digits debt, said they would only stop that then current debt collection company from harassing MY phone number, but the U.S. Department of Education said it would continue to have other debt collection compasnies call MY phone number because it had long ago been assigned in Wanda Jones' name at her address (not my address).
    I called the FBI Buffalo, NY office because most of the harassing collection company calls are coming from out-of-state.  The FBI refused to investigate.
    I live in NY State, so I called the NY State Police office because most of the harassing collection company calls are coming from out-of-state.  The NY State Police refused to investigate.
    This Country no longer protects many of its innocent citizens, it simply ignores enforcing the law when Corporations violate the law and harass innocent American citizens.
    And, in this case, the Federal Government itself (the U.S. Department of Education's Default Credit Office) is continuing to cause this to happen to me who it now knows is an innocent victim (I gave that Office my name and SSN and phone company carrier, but they continue to want to violate the law).

    never seen such rude unprofessional people in my life. I think the prior blogger is right the pressure on employees must come from management and it trickles down to end users.T%hey always sound hurried and desperate when they call. Look at their stock dropping from 3.00 to .25 and barely hanging on to a dollar.Now they are at risk of delisting from the NASDAQ They should be put out of business. Turn them in to the authorities and do this nation a favor.I hope they read this and feel the shame.
