Two months back, I shifted my household items from Bangalore to Chennai thru Agarwal Packers& Movers. As I had many fragile items, I wanted to entrust the job to some reliable people. I chose Agarwal, as they were supposed to be the "best"! And soon I could realize that it was the greatest blunder I had ever done! They initially impressed me with their "manner of talking and packing things" (Anybody will as they carry wooden & plastic boxes to suit their customer's needs!! ) and promised to deliver it on time.
However, it was late night when I received my things, with lots of excuses for delay. And to my shock, most of the crockery and glass panes of my TV trolley were completely broken! And one item had completely gone missing. When contacted, I got the casual reply that I should lodge a complaint and claim for insurance .And that they will search for my lost item.
(As though this is not the first time this is happening and I'm not the first person having such experience!). And unfortunately, that's the fact, I'm not the first person! Now I understand there are so many people like me who had the same bad experience with Agarwal packers. So its my sincere advice to people that DON'T ever go for AGARWAL PACKERS.

To make matters worse, there are 7 numbers where I have contacted in the past 2 days with all responding in the same irresponsible manner.
PLEASE NEVER EVER EVEN THINK OF AGARWAL(DRS) PACKERS. IT WOULD BE A CARDINAL SIN IF U USE THEIR SERVICES!!!!
One thing is true, no matter WHO the packer, you HAVE to stand and supervise during the packing, your special items are things which must be packed to YOUR satisfaction, not others'.
At least things reach with packers like Leo or Agarwal.. a brand is always a brand, no matter what you say.
I have recently moved from Bangalore to Ghaziabad and had used the services of Agarwal Packers and movers DRS group to transport the household goods from Bangalore to Ghaziabad. Their packing was fine when they picked the stuff from my place in Bangalore and after that it was beginning of nightmares for me.
I had biggest shock of my life at the arrival of my items. My sofa, Bed, Mattress, Bike, Table all were damaged. People who were unloading the items didn’t look like professionals. Forget about their skill set they were not even courteous and polite which they claim loudly it on their website. It seems that they are hiring construction labors for this job. To unpack and unload a medium sized household, they sent only 2 guys. They arrived at 1 p.m. (2 hours late by their committed time). It took more than 12 hours to unload and shift the items in my house. One of my missing item after much persistence was received late in the evening. The unpacking ran till 2 in the night because of the lack of adequate personnel, equipments and expertise with them. When I requested them to continue the work tomorrow instead of late in night and I assured them as well they can leave this stuff in my compound, they refused to do this. They continued to create ruckus and worked till 2p.m. in night. Due to some urgent work I had to leave my place late in the evening and my Mom was looking after this. It is so much unsafe and difficult for a lady to take care of this. Their field officers are like bloody goons. I spoke to one of their Senior person Mr. Shukla and requested him for the same. He agreed to do this but never communicated the same to his people and finally we had argument with those labors . When we told them that we are going to call police they threatened us that they will call the police . One of their employee Mr. Sandeep Sharma who is taking care of their claims and customer service divison of Delhi office is very noncooperative person. He is man who has hired these goons and doesn’t have manners to talk. We finally forced to give them signed letter that we have received everything and they can come tomorrow to shift the sofa which was there in my compound . They couldn’t bring it in because they didn’t have rope to do that.
While unpacking we found that:
They managed to break the lights and body of my bike in spite of their so called secure packing besides this my table and sofas were also damaged.
The bed which they had dismantled and unpacked is not yet assembled.
I have spoken to the Delhi office and people are not at all helpful. I highly recommended DO NOT USE AGARWAL MOVERS AND PACKERS OF DRS GROUP. It would have been better off to use some one of low profile but better packers.
My advices are (i) Make thorough search of the transporter you have choosen, (ii) take name of the proprietors, their photos and landline numbers/cell; (iii) meet them in their office (do not forget to photograph people you meet in office - make best use of ur mobile camera);
(iv) insist for stand alone container (Mersk type) to be locked and sealed by you at time of transportation. Do not give them any keys.
(v) ask for xerox copy of RC book of the truck that is carrying the goods + driving license of the truck driver
(vi) pay through a/c payee cheque. Do not pay more then 50% at time of loading and give them 40% post date cheque of the date when they are suppose to deliver (get this thing in writing from them + all other terms and conditions on a paper with their signature). Cancel the cheque on delay. 10% amount after verifying the condition of goods.
(vii) give no advance payment or any payment at time of packing
(vii) Always have courage to say no to Transporter who tries to blackmail you on day of transportation.
(viii) Remember Bad transporter are like dacoit who will destroy your hard earned property.

I tell you real experience , I got Transfer from Chennai to Delhi in the month of July 2010. They all did the work very professionally and all my House hold goods reached to delhi in scheduled time and without any damage.
Really their system is splendid, They are punctual in time, they pack really professionally .Their special designed container are really safe.

Even after that that many of my friends have done shifting through CHENNAIDELHI PACKERS & MOVERS and they all had very good experience.
I recommend CHENNAI DELHI PACKERS & MOVERS to you all.

MOVED MY HOUSEHOLD FROM MUMBAI TO LUCKNOW IN JULY 2010. RECEIVED MOST ITEMS BROKEN AND DAMAGED. DAMAGES OVER 1 LAKH RUPEES. INSURED FOR Rs. 50,000. THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT SETTLING FOR Rs 7,000!! SUCH CHEATS! PLEASE AVOID THEM LIKE PLAGUE!!

Despite ALL your assurances of a FAIR evaluation, I was informed by Ms. Soumya Singh (MOB: +91-9849800052 - Your Customer Care Head) that the amount that will be settled for damages caused to me is Rs 7000/=!
This probably is a JOKE for you people - to promise to transport peoples lives and household goods and then Damage due to PURE Negligance - TV / A.C. / Fridge / Washing machine / Microwave / Various crockery / various missing cuttlery items / various chipped and damaged furniture / Damaged sofa-cum-bed / damaged and holed sewing machine - and then want to settle ALL for Rs 7000/=????????????
Even the Insurance value, as sent by Mr. Mukesh (MOB:+91-9305245909, Office: +91-522-3210720) - Lucknow rep and in-charge) of the main goods is Rs 32,500/=!!!
It was only on insistance of your mumbai rep, Mr. Dagar, (MOB - 9320117123) that I agreed to insure my household goods for Rs 50,000/=, after all his crap talk of now good Agarwal packers are. Now I know better. And you are taking about a rediculous Rs 7000/= for damages caused??
Now I have had enough of your scrap. I will not be calling up again. You will now be hearing from all OTHER sources, but I am not going to call your office again.
What a mess - Agarwal Packers and Movers can be needs to be brought to the knowledge to one and all! What big scamsters and cheaters!
