Catnapper Furniture is Jackson Furniture out of TN.  They are marketed on several online sites.  I oredered mine from livingincomfort.com.  They are also complicit in this complaint.  They may even be in the scamming business together.  I ordered the sofa On Feb 10th of this year and promised a 3 week delivery.  It took almost 8.  I have had the item LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!  The 2 recliner ends are slumping and sagging toward the middle of the sofa, the padding on the footrests is non-exsistant and the bare plank board digs into your calves (esp the sharp corner).  The upholstry on the pull-down middle (cup-holders, etc) is coming apart and the staples are exposed and has pricked us several times, so that we can't use it anymore, but it is hard to put back up the whole way because of the slumping recliners!  LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD! I called both Living In Comfort and the manufacturer (Jackson Furniture).  I am supossed to have a blanket 3 year warranty on most of the sofa and a life time on other parts.  You guessed it - no one is going to honor it.  The manufacturer says it it Living In Comfort's problem and Living says it falls under the manufacturer warranty.  What a scam.  Living does not even have a phone number to call them and they don't answer emails.  Do not buy anything from Living and dan't buy a catnapper product from any source.  Be warned!!!

bought a catnapper sectional with 4 recliners.  The recliner pull cords all broke after 1 year.  My husband and I are only ones that use it.  Cant be repaired.  What a disappointment.

Any easy fix.   Jackson had supplied these free to dealers.    And also pay them to fix it

My husband and I bought a catnapper sectional with 4 recliners also.  And we have the same problem.  The recliner cords have broken after 2 years of use.    However, I have found the pull cables online at Amazon.  They are not very expensive (about $24), I've ordered two and going to install them myself.

I had to uninstall the current one, as Amazon has several in several different sizes.  It was fairly easy to get out the old cable except that the main attachment next to the pull cord seems to need its own tool to get the screws out.    the new cables look like you can use your own screws.

I'll update once I have them installed and let  you know how well they work.  ;)

Actually, If the "parachute release cable is broken, it can be replaced. Jackson/Catnapper doesn't make that part. It's a generic item and you can get them from Jackson/Catnapper or google it. I repair furniture and it's a common item to replace.

Hi this is gor tom. I am working on my catnapper recliner. I have a few technical questions.  First one . The four bolts that hold the seat back on , one of them is missing. How do I get into  the bolts? They are right inside the seat bottom

What did you finally do?  We have the same problem.  If we could find someplace to buy the pull cords, we could probably fix it ourselves.

I ALMOST bought 2 Catnapper Recliners! In the store they felt really comfortable to sit in, and I liked the style (TeddyBear). Now, after reading complaints about Jackson Furniture, I'm glad I didn't. The PROBLEM?? How do you know WHO to trust and buy from that will stand behind their products? I am looking for higher quality and comfort; I'm willing to pay a fair price for that; but WHO can you TRUST??

You can always trust La-Z_Boy.  They will cost more but they have a good warranty and they stand by their product.

I would not buy another piece of lazy boy furniture if it was 98% off.
My reclining sofa broke twice within a 6 months period. The frame on my recliner snapped in half and the arm is buckling.

This is the worst furniture group I have ever owned. The company Slumberland is where it was purchased through and did not stand behind the product.

Will never purchase from Slumberland again.

        several calls with no response.

I guess there can be a "lemon" in almost anything. I have a sofa, and loveseat in the micro fiber and a leather man-sized recliner,, all from Lazy Boy, and they are 4+ years old.  I have had no major problems--only one handle that allows the sofa to recline came loose.  A person was sent to fix it and have had no trouble since.  I would buy another Lazy Boy.

that is not true that lazy boy stands back of their furniture.
we bought a recliner love seat several years ago and it was the nosiest piece of junk you could ever imagine  and they would do nothing about it. every time we sat on it the love seat would creak and crack and make all kinds of noise. I conntacted them and they would do nothing about it. they passed the buck to the dealer and they also would do nothing. so much for quality manufacturers today.
but I believe this will come back to haunt the manufacturers.

La-Z  Boy is no better than any other furniture! It depends on the price! You get what you pay for!

          HUH?

Your "La-Z Boy is no better than any other furniture! It depends on the price! You get what you pay for!" statement seems to have a major flaw.

La-Z Boy cost more than other furniture, therefore according to you they should be better than other furniture but we all know they're not. Furniture is as good or bad as the design, materials used and the experience, knowledge and attitude of the people making it and that almost never stays consistent.

Take two recliners apart of the same model, from the same company, made in the same plant and even in the same week and you're more likely than not to see differences that will effect use and durability.

This is not true.  I paid for the Lazy Boy name and still got an inferior product that broke within 6 months and they would not stand behind it.  Donated a very expensive recliner to Salvation Army.  Hopefully they were able to repair the springs

I did not buy my furniture from this store.  But I did buy the furniture made from the same Vendor.  I brought the Catnapper Harbor Reclining Sofa, Recliner and Loveseat.  I received furniture that looked used, the Recliner leans sideways, and I did not order the console (who wants a love seat you can't lay on if you feel like it).  I called the dealer and they said the same thing, call Catnapper and Catnapper said to call the dealer.  The recliner footrest stuffing is spilling out because they are inclosed with a zipper which keeps unzipping.  I searched and searched trying to fine a affordable, comfortable, nice to look at furniture and got kicked in the butt.  The furniture was brought 8 months ago.   All so, you have to make sure you sit in the center of each sofa section because if you sit on the split where each section meets, you sit on hard boards, and you start to side into the spilt each time you sit downvery uncomfortable, and the soft comfortable feeling of the recliners doesn't last after 3 or 4 sittings.

I have had my catnapper recliners for 3 years. The cable just broke but as you said no one wants to repair it. Also my grand daughters foot has been cut on 2 occasions where the sections fit together when her foot slipped into the crack. I wonder how they have gotten by without a lawsuit over this. It's very dangerous so I can't allow my small grandchildren to sit on the couch.

Don't buy Lane furniture either. I bought 2 recliners from them and had nothing but problems.  Each one broke in the first year. It is a shame how things are made now a days.
