Catnapper Recliner Sofa
Complaint

Catnapper Furniture is Jackson Furniture out of TN. They are marketed on several online sites. I oredered mine from livingincomfort.com. They are also complicit in this complaint. They may even be in the scamming business together. I ordered the sofa On Feb 10th of this year and promised a 3 week delivery. It took almost 8. I have had the item LESS THAN 2 MONTHS! The 2 recliner ends are slumping and sagging toward the middle of the sofa, the padding on the footrests is non-exsistant and the bare plank board digs into your calves (esp the sharp corner). The upholstry on the pull-down middle (cup-holders, etc) is coming apart and the staples are exposed and has pricked us several times, so that we can't use it anymore, but it is hard to put back up the whole way because of the slumping recliners! LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD! I called both Living In Comfort and the manufacturer (Jackson Furniture). I am supossed to have a blanket 3 year warranty on most of the sofa and a life time on other parts. You guessed it - no one is going to honor it. The manufacturer says it it Living In Comfort's problem and Living says it falls under the manufacturer warranty. What a scam. Living does not even have a phone number to call them and they don't answer emails. Do not buy anything from Living and dan't buy a catnapper product from any source. Be warned!!!

No one backs anything they make anymore.......
I am very dissapointed with Jackson and have stopped buying from them,I have fixed several of there sofas for my customers,it is a terrible frame construction the worst I have seen in 30 years of selling.
I am well pleased with Catnapper, it is made as good as anything. and the comfort is outstanding. They have now started to incorporate coils in the seat cushions so the durability should increase even more. www.delanoscountrystore.com Visit my web site. We deliver within 200 miles of our store.

I tell (and show) all my customers to turn the furniture over on its front and just look at how its made...if you see plywood or wafer board frames then leave it alone...or at least don't expect much if you buy it.
Dont listen to the commissioned sales person about factory warranties...they mean nothing...no one is going to go through the trouble and expense of sending something back to the factory, and they know that.
Buy from a reputable retailer that has been around for years and is willing to help you if you have problems, do not buy extended warranties..in fact if they offer them, you are in the wrong store...they are not worth the piece of paper they are written on.....and never, never buy from a going out of business store, you are paying more than when they were in business..it was just marked up much higher and then brought down to make you think your getting a steal......I am almost ashamed of how the furniture business has become so sleazy and takes advantage of the consumer these days....makes it tough for the ones who just try and make a honest living at it....without all the scams, lies and over selling.
