Catnapper Furniture is Jackson Furniture out of TN.  They are marketed on several online sites.  I oredered mine from livingincomfort.com.  They are also complicit in this complaint.  They may even be in the scamming business together.  I ordered the sofa On Feb 10th of this year and promised a 3 week delivery.  It took almost 8.  I have had the item LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!  The 2 recliner ends are slumping and sagging toward the middle of the sofa, the padding on the footrests is non-exsistant and the bare plank board digs into your calves (esp the sharp corner).  The upholstry on the pull-down middle (cup-holders, etc) is coming apart and the staples are exposed and has pricked us several times, so that we can't use it anymore, but it is hard to put back up the whole way because of the slumping recliners!  LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD! I called both Living In Comfort and the manufacturer (Jackson Furniture).  I am supossed to have a blanket 3 year warranty on most of the sofa and a life time on other parts.  You guessed it - no one is going to honor it.  The manufacturer says it it Living In Comfort's problem and Living says it falls under the manufacturer warranty.  What a scam.  Living does not even have a phone number to call them and they don't answer emails.  Do not buy anything from Living and dan't buy a catnapper product from any source.  Be warned!!!

On a side note, any furniture store that carries and pushes Jackson crap isn't one I would shop in given the costly and disappointing experience of owning Jackson furniture for the month I have. Furniture store insiders are fully aware of what they are selling. Most are fly by night stores anyway but still, a store is only as good as the products it sells.

Bought the catnapper transformer leather loveseat, sofa and recliner.  The leather is peeling off and looks horrible.  It is less than two years old.  Jackson Furniture first decided to provide me with more material and I could get it recovered.  Nice of them, right?  After more than a little controversy, they have decided to fix it, but I have to get it to them in Cleveland, TN.  The furniture store I bought it from is working with me to get it to and from Cleveland.  I will NEVER buy anything with catnapper and tell everyone I know, stay away from such cheaply made furniture.  They apparently do not care for your business if they don't back their product.

We bought 2 catnapped swivel recliners 3 months ago , they are the most uncomfortable recliners we have ever had. The head rest pushes your neck forward, making your neck and back hurt. We have had a number of recliners in the past and have never been this disappointed in a purchase.

Mine too!  I initially loved this sofa!  The fabric, the color.  It seemed sooo comfortable.   But we realize after sitting on it a while, it does hurt your back, neck, etc.!  What a shame!

I sat on a Catnapper in Badcock Furniture to research reviews on my phone before we paid $1,000+ for a couch.  Thank you all for taking the time and trouble to provide the information necessary to guide the rest of us away from this company and their expensive junk.

My husband and I bought a Catnapper sectional over 20 years ago.  Nothing has ever broken or been replaced except the covering which was worn but not torn.  My pulls are not even worn.  We had it recovered nine years ago and are still using it daily in the den.  We had little boys jumping and playing on it daily for years.  I was looking to buy another new one but after reading all of the complaints maybe I will check out other alternatives.  The Catnapper we have was well worth the $1799 we paid for it.  So sad to know they are no longer the Best.  Maybe I will just recover this one again.

We purchased a Catnapper reclining sofa, reclining love seat and the matching rocker recliner from Big Sandy Furniture in May 2013.  The cord on one of the couch recliners was not connected but they came and did so.  A month or so later the same recliner was so loose I could move it and jiggle it with my knee.  I called again, they found a bolt loose, which they tightened, took a few pictures and said it was typical for the catnappers to do this but that it shouldn't get much worse.  I told him I would certainly hope not since if it got much worse it would not be attached to the rest of the couch!  Bought this brand because I thought it was quality workmanship but boy, was I wrong.

My Mom and Dad have been looking at a 3 piece living room set, called the Catnapper Nolan 404.  https://www.google.com/#q=catnapper+nolan+404       The furniture store selling it is very reputable for its quality products sold there but after reading all of these comments, I might advise them to keep looking.  They have an Ashley set right now and it wasn't worth the money.  The salesperson said this Nolan set does have bonded leather so it won't be as good as real leather but that they have had good luck with it.

      Joel,

I am not sure if you will ever see this, but did you buy Nolan 404? If so, how is it?

I have the Nolan 404.....DON'T BUY IT. I am 5'3" and bought this recliner to sleep in.  I checked it out in the store and no problems at all.  I ordered the chair with power so it took 6 weeks to get it in.  It was delivered without a problem except one morning I woke up with the chair flipped forward on the foot rest.  I have NEVER had this problem before..  Thinking it was a freak thing it happened the next night or rather morning too.  Now it happens twice in a night.  I contacted my local retailer about the chair and was told they would call me back.  It's been well over a week and I have not heard a thing from them.  So I got on line and set Jackson Furniture an email complaining of the same problem.  Some how I don't think I will be getting a reply....

I purchased a Catnapper sectional many years ago and for the most part has been a fair piece of furniture, but I want to elaborate that as a single person since 2001 it doesn't see much use, and upon closer inspection is a midgrade base construction. The issue I'm not impressed with is the plastic feet stapled underneath on the corners of each piece. While they have lasted a number of years, I found one lying broken on the floor the other day as I was repositioning the sectional. I've contacted three different listed companies that say they carry the Catnapper brand, the only company that did reply to my email was Jackson Furniture out of TN, while I did get several corresponding responses, I never did remedy the replacement of the broken plastic foot. Jackson Furniture asked for a serial number to which I never found such. My last email to them stated that I had lost patience attempting to get a replacement plastic foot, and thanked them for their time. Maybe the company has realized that plastic is not the answer to the weight bearing of the sectional, and are now using a better material such as a hard wood.

Did you buy Bonded Leather or Top Grain? Sounds like bonded leather. I would say contact your dealer and ask him if the wear or durability meets HIS expectations.

    Dear Furniture Shoppers:
First, quit buying new furniture off the internet whereas you are vulnerable to no service after the sale. Buy from an authorized dealer and be a smart shopper. Ask about their service policy, learn it and know it. Next, there isn't a single piece of bullet proof furniture in the world, so be honest in how you really use the furniture. Most people will never admit to being hard on furniture. Can you sit on the hood of a Rolls Royce and expect a dent? No, you can't. Treat your furniture right and it will treat you right--even if it is cheap. And, here is one little tip you should consider gospel: Know the quality of the cushion, the number one item you use in a sofa or chair. If the salesman cannot give you a guaranteed density rating of 2.0 our better, or confirm the cushion has actual coils on the inside, walk west with your hat and keep shopping. Don't buy any furniture where the main frame is pine and be sure to ask how the frame is joined. Remember that importing furniture from China is huge today and many big stores have heavy inventories of Chinese produced furniture that carry American sounding names! I am not saying Chinese produced furniture is built poorly in all cases, but I am asking which worker you choose to support. Communist or American? You decide.
I have spent 32 years in the business and hope I helped you just a little. Buy local for caring dealer service and buy American made products if you can.

Please excuse my missing use of a key word in one sentence above. I meant to say--Can you sit on the hood of a Rolls Royce and NOT expect a dent. No, you can't.
