Getting charged by GRC Vita Power

Two months ago I ordered Proactive products and ever since have been receiving these "GRC Vita Power" vitamins that I did not order. Every month $65 is being taken out of my credit account. So I called BOA and got them to put a stop against VitaPower charging me the 33.94 each month. Hopefully that will stop them from charging me. When I called Proactive they gave me this number for VitaPower 888-684-9660. I tried calling but no one answered.

    I myself have tried the Vita Clear 30 day trail period of vitamins. For one, I didn't notice a difference as far as a clear up on my face but $33.94 is just far too much to pay on a multi vitamin -- this is what I find them to be. In addition, I wanted to cancel and they STILL charged me for the thired shipment. Keep in mind I still haven't seen my second shipment. The lady said that I could return them and get a refund but it won't be for the full amount minus $7 and change. She wasn't very customer service friendly and made me feel like it was my fault as a customer. She rebutted the fact that I thought $33.94 was a lot and that I should have did my part to cancel...well I did but they still are going to charge me for my third shipment -- WTF? I wish they had a customer servey.

    SOOOO The same SH*T has happend to me and EVERY month I call and am told its canceled and ill be refunded. ANd EVERY MONTH i'm never refunded and get money taken from me the next month meaning its never cancelled. I called again today and the rude consultant told me to adjust my attitude. Well I'm sorry but after having money stolen from me every month and not returned and having incompetent customer service representatives tell me that i'll be refunded and that its cancelled yes I do have an attitude. I told him that I will not adjust my attitude, my anger is not towards him it is towards the company he works for that makes a living from stealing from people. He was an A** and all I have to say is I better get refunded this time and never billed again because if he thought i had an attitude today just wait bc im done being ripped off and stolen from. If he doesnt want people calling him pissed off maybe he shouldn't work for a company that steals from people!

    The same thing happened to me after ordering PRO-ACTIV!

    I called 888-848-2797

    & told them it was unathorized...they told me as long as i send these "vitamins" back i would be refunded in a couple of weeks.

    I had the same identical problem.  I got the trial offer but there was no notice inside the box that gave instructions on anything.  About a month later they charged me 33.94.  I called the number that displayed next to the charge on my card.  I was told that I had 30 days to stop the second shipment.  I told them there was no paperwork inside the box explaining that to me. They said that the Guthy Ranker representative should have told me that.  How was I to remember after over 30 days had passed.  I returned the shipment without opening it.  I got a certificate of mailing at the post office and I faxed that to VitaPower asking them to refund my money and stop any further shipments of their product.  When I received my refund it was only 25.96.  I called again and they said that they charged me shipping costs for 2 months supply.  I was furious.  I will never order anything from them again. I had to pay shipping on something I refused to accept from them. I should not have to pay shipping on something I returned unopened. This in my opinion is FRAUD.  I hope these folks are put out of business so they stop stealing from people.

    This is the biggest load of crap, these people need to have their ass sued. We noticed just today a charge for thirty three dollars from vita power and we called immediately to cancel and have the money refunded and were told that we had to receive the product and then send it back to get the refund, my husband explained it was expensive and we wouldn't be able to, so she told him she could postpone the shipment so we could save money... that is so ridiculous, they are thieves and frauds

    I did not recieve the vitamins yet have been billed twice now.  I spoke to the GRC customer servicejust now and she said the vitamins have been sent out today, just refuse the shipment and they will refund the money.LOL, hope that is true.

    If you are dealing with unauthorized charges, or with charges for which a company has failed to deliver, be sure to dispute the charges within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges, to ensure your bank can reverse the charges under FRB Reg. E for checking account disputes, or FCBA for credit card disputes.

    Dispute promptly to your bank, and follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.

    Some merchants may claim they have to "investigate", or that a refund may take "3 to 4 weeks" or longer, but relying on promises and allowing the 60 day dispute period to pass without filing a bank dispute can result in loss due to fraud.

    When you are dealing with a charge cramming scam, not only should you dispute unauthorized charges through your bank, you should close and block your account due to fraud to prevent additional charges.  Such scams generally attempt to continue charging as long as the charges will go through.

    If you have additional problems, contact your state Attorney General and the U.S. Postal Inspector for assistance.

    I cancelled these vitamins over 90 days ago and they said it was cancelled 3 moths later I am still getting billed.  Now there excuse is we only bill you monthly for half an order.  This is one of teh biggest scams I have seen.  Stay away form this company and tehre products.  They not only did not work for me but cost me more than they stated and am still getting billed.  Had to block them by filing papaers with my bank.

    These people suck!!!!!!!! My return was past due as well. I was in the hospital recovering from brain surgery when i recieved the order and could not get to the post office.

    same here. on hold, they kept my money for shipping and handling and I didn't even open the box!
    the lady just told me she recharged it to my account.. we'll see

    I too have the same complaint, beilieve it or not, this is still happening.  I cancelled my order months ago, still being billed.

    I also have received multiple unordered and unwanted vitamins form Guthy Renker and Vita Power.  I have spoken with three customer representatives today, one of them a supervisor named Mike.  The other customer representatives are Holly and Allan.  Holly and Allan were both very sympathetic and nice and told me my account was cancelled in 2008, however I received another shipment just three weeks ago.  They continue to take the 33.94 out of my checking account.  They have recenty sent a collection ageny after me because I changed banks to stop these charges.  However, they have somehow gotten my new account info and they are taking the money out again.  I am retired and cannot afford these vitamins that aren't any good.  What can we do as a group to stop these people from sending us this product?  Vita Power denies that they have sent me recent shipments, however I have five (5) unopened boxes that have cost me a total of 169.70.  And I have a collection agency after me too.  Somebody help!

    I think we should do a class action suit againt Vita Power and
    Guthy Renker.  I ordered mine through Meaningful Beauty and I see many of you ordered yours through Pro Active.  I feel we should not blame the original company, they obviously don't know that Vita Power is an unscrupulous company that promises to cancel your subscription yet continues to bill you and then denies that they have sent you more product.  I have spoken to them repeatedly in North Carolina and they deny that they have sent me anything since Jan. 2010.  They also confirm that my account was closed in 2008.  I changed my bank and so they sent a colection agency after me for the January 2010 shipment. What can we do?

    I just checked my account and they charged me 33.94. Mine came from sheer cover make up that I ordered, which I cancelled MONTHS ago! Anyway the vitamins were obviously from a different company although the box that it comes in says "sheer cover all over. Sheer Cover NEVER explained this!! CALL THIS NUMBER! I CALLED AND CANCELLED! MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A CONFIRMATION NUMBER ONCE YOU CANCEL!!!!  1-888-848-2797
