I am a professional working in Malawi , on Friday the 24th of July I was in South Africa. I am a fun of KFC Chicken but I dont think so anymore after the Team Leader (Wilma) at KFC Somerset Mall in Capetown laughted right in our faces for having an accent that is not South African. When I asked about this she just laughed and said she couldn't help laughing at us because we sounded stupid!!! How on earth does one tell a customer that they sound stupid.This kind of service and attitude sucks for a Brand like KFC and they have just lost two loyal customers wont step my foot in a KFC restaurent again. Not that they care.

    I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS BEAUTIFUL COUTRY OF OURS.THE CUSTOMER OF COURSE IS CERTAINLY NOT KING AS HE/SHE USED TO BE. BOUGHT A COLONEL BURGER MEAL AND A COLONEL BURGER TODAY AT KFC HOWICK. HAD TO TAKE IT BACK AS THE TOMATOE SLICE WAS DEFINITELY YESTERDAYS, YOU COULD JUST SMELL THE RANCIDITY AND THE PIECE OF REFRIED CHICKEN - WELL ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. TOOK IT BACK STILL WARM AND WAS ASKED WHEN I BOUGHT IT. HELLO! WHEN I TOLD THE MANAGER THAT IT WAS YESTERDAY'S, HE TOLD ME "WE DON'T SELL YESTERDAY'S FOOD" - YOU COULD HAVE BOWLED ME OVER WITH A FEATHER. BUT, ON THE LIGHTER SIDE HE DID REPLACE IT AND SAID THAT HE WOULD TAKE MORE CARE IN CHECKING HIS KITCHEN. YES, I AM WONDERING IF THIS IS GOING TO HIT THE KFC HEAD OFFICE COMPLAINTS LINE. IT LOOKS LIKE KFC IS GOING TO THE 'BIRDS', EH!!!!!!

    Hi there,

    I've now twice tried the KFC at N1 City Value Centre. Opp McDonalds. I jut have to say that their service completely sucks. They are the slowest bunch of workers. Also their food is completely disgusting. The chips are dry and tastes old as if it was yesterday's chips that they just warmed up again. We ended up throwing all our chips away. Their chicken also tasted like old oil. I will never, ever go to this store again and I suggest you don't go there either.

    I see all these complaints, does anyone get a reply or satisfaction from KFC?

    Phalaborwa KFC - what a joke!!!  In the past, it has happened several times that an order received is incorrect (there is always portion of your order missing) and then you get bought over with a free ice-cream or milkshake to keep you satisfied.  Last night however was the best......KFC's hours are from 09:00 to 22:00......at 21:00 we stopped at KFC to place an order at the drive-thru.  Needless to say, it was CLOSED.  On going inside we were told that we would have to wait 30min for fresh chicken as all chicken was sold out.  Well, after stating that we would be willing to wait the 30min out we all of a sudden received our order within 10min.......where did this chicken come from now?  The staff are just sitting around doing nothing and service is absolutely poor.

    THE NEW KFC MENU SUCKS!!!I USE TO SWAP MY COLE SLAW FOR MASH AND GRAVY.NOW I HAVE TO HEAR NO SIR YOU CANT SWAP IT ITS THE NEW MENU!!!RUBBISH!!!CRAP!!!AND THAT COEL SLAW TASTES LIKE I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE IT.WHY ????YOU LOSED A COSTUMER.

    how disgusting and where is the so-called posh kentucky gone too.  i bought a junior burger and to my mouthfull hurt i bit on a bone. DO you get bones in a chicken patty.  kentucky really sucks.  Bye bye.  General Kentucky take your face off from your ads your ruining your image via your staff.

    I went off to Obs in CT to get a grilled twister - the guy proceeded to tell me it was going to take a while... when I enquired about this he said that the chicken was frozen and so they microwaved it first... well I have to tell you.... this is total misrepresentation - and the advertising authorities should investigate... on eating , the rather uninteresting twister.... it certainly tasted like a microwave piece of chicken and NOT grilled.... when I told him I objected to the chicken being microwaved he proceeded to tell me that is was grilled... what trash... after he had just explained the proceedure to me... how does KFC manage to survive... really think we should boycott them until a concerted effort is made to improve their quality of food and standard!

    Well... I can at least vouch for my office - everyone here has agreed that we will not return to KFC... everyone of us has had a bad experience!

    yes i agree obviously the guys in the top position does not give a damn - KFC has gone down the dumps the chicken is like rubber and the service is up to no good. your food is horrible do something about it or close down...

    no these people don't give a crap, in one ear out the other. you will not hear or see anything. KFC wil not change, we need to stop buying. Well i don't buy for a while and since the double crunch was removed i have nothing that i like eating there - chicken is like rubber soaked in old oil.. gross

    i think we need to get the top brass fired and hire people that actually care what goes into their customers food - it starts at the top. Do you people not see how unhappy we are with the horrible food you are serving us your menu is joke and your employees are even worse - get some qulified people with good manners and a bit of energy in there to manage and serve the people that are making you money _ YOUR CUSTOMERS. get rid of the useless employees and get your food back to fresh and not five days old and heated in a microwave or soaked in months old oil.

    And if you can get off your butt and reply to all these complaints - oh sorry you don't care...

    After reading some of the complaints above, I wonder if it helps at all to complain of bad service. But for those who are interested read on.
    Me and my friends went out to get some KFC at the beach last night.We visited the KFC in Blouberg strand, in beach road. Though we didn't wait long, we waited for a long time just to get a reciept as non af the staff was able to print a reciept. After waiting around to get a reciept, yhe food was cold and we had to make do with a reciept from a office printer.
    About the service, I have to say poor, The quility of the food, Terrible as the original KFC sauces were not used, the salads almost invisible as it claerly have to be very old. KFC should drop their heads in shame if that is the standard to be at KFC stores.

    Baught 3 Fillers and chips at new KFC in Brits.Breadrolls was definitely not fresh and the small strips of chicken in those rolls.NOT very goog value for your money.

    Since December 2009 the branch in Mokopane Thabo Mbeki Road (Drive Thru) do not have BBQ sauce with their Stripps.  Every time I order they have another story regarding this matter.  They first have informed me that they have ordered it from their Head Office.  Two days later they inform me that the BBQ sauce is dicontinued from all the branches. The other branch in Nelson Mandela Road Mokopane do have BBQ sauce and Wolmaransstad and Klerksdorp have this sauce.  How can only one branch in the country been discontinued with this product?

    Are you sure anybody is reading the complaints as the service is bad overall it seems - Yes I do have a problem with the pricing as well - we bought Fillers at the Eastrand Mall - The rolls were about 3 days old and we got Two strips each on a roll?????????????? My husband ate KFC all over the world and admitted that it was the worst KFC experience EVER

    We will NEVER go back to this store again,The product was undercooked
    overbreaded and tasted awfull,obviously pulled from the cooker too early,the only thing that was acceptable was the cole slaw and the biscut,
    no napkins or honey in this drive up order.

    The wierda park kfc i just visited is a joke...old,dry twister wrapping with brown lettuce...you can smell and taste that the lettuce is off!!!! plus the twister was as thin as a small pritt paste holder! and the didnt even give me salt with the still raw chips! 8$%!

    We went to the Ballito KFC last night and suffice it to say, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. First off, the service was atrocious. We ordered our food with the most bored looking attendant who looked the whole way through as if he felt he would rather be somewhere else. Once we had already ordered, only then did he see fit to inform that the speedpoint machine was not working!!! Thank goodness we happened to have cash on us! We received our food and came home to eat. We had ordered three Twister Wrap meals, two chicken pops and extra chips. The Twister wraps were as dry as sand, had absolutely NO sauce in whatsoever and the chips were dry and dehydrated too. The chicken pops were in a tiny container costing R10,90 for the smallest amount. What a rip off. To top it all off, my friend and I are experiencing stomach cramps, and mine has evolved into a case of diarrhorea! And what’s more, we have friends from out of town staying with us, so this is rather embarrassing for the KFC name, not to mention us! I’m forced to question how soon I will be brave enough to return to any KFC never mind the one here in Ballito.
