We purchased a leather sofa and loveseat made by Chateau D'Ax and sold by Raymour & Flanigan. The sofas were extremely expensive but we considered them an investment. Leather is supposed to get better with age and last 2-3 times as long as upholstered furniture. Our couches certainly have not improved with age. The leather has worn thin and there are now multiple holes which a patch cannot take care of. The protective finish has also worn off the cushions. I called the company to ask about cleaning products and conditioners and a pompous fool could babble nothing but "your manufacturer's warranty has expired".Couldn't even offer me a list of approved cleaners or conditioners--heaven forbid a leather furniture manufacturer actually carry their own products. Save your money and buy less expensive couches and than just replce them every few years. I definitely do not recommend Chateau D'Ax, better re-named Chateau D'Crap!

We bought the 7 year "worry no more" warranty. The stitching on our chateau d'ax sectional is coming undone. Surprise, surprise, the warranty doesn't cover that. I called the "worry no more" number and they told me that they can't fix the stitching. Macy's said it's because its a manufacturer's defect. I'm trying to find the manufacturer's email (chateau d'ax) to send them pictures of their workmanship. No luck (please help).
To think you bought an expensive sofa and the warranty so you can protect your investment. They are all so deceitful and misleading.

There should really be something that consumers can do about all these bogus warranties they sell you in the store. You really can't trust Macy's, but I'm hoping that the Chateau d'ax can do something about it, since it's their reputation that Macy's is putting on the line.

WorryNOMore is offered in different coverages, you evidently purchased the accidental version, that does not cover factory defects. The Premium version covers both factory defects and accidents for 7 years. The structure version covers factory defects only, not accidents.

Sadly, another poor experience! We purchased a Red leather pull out couch from Macy's - product was Chateau D'ax. Very litle use for this couch and now we have our clothes actually sticking to the "leather" and leaving some behind. What crap! Macy's claims no knowledge - spoke to the sales person who has been there for years and the customer service folks - all lied.

NO MORE MACY's PRODUCTS. OF COURSE, NO MORE CHATEAU D'AX PRODUCTS.

I spent $2000 on a leather sofabed at Macy's, Chateaux D'ax in Jan 2010. The leather is cracking and color peeling.  I have to wrap my cushions with a blanket because it's so embarrassing.  I called Macys and Chateaux D'ax and go zero help.  It's crap furniture.  I'll never buy from Macys and certainly Chateaux D'ax again!

Avoid this brand. We made the mistake of purchasing a Chateau D/ax six-piece leather sectional from Macy's in Feb. 2011 before reading these reviews. We could have saved ourselves $3,000. The chocolate-brown sectional was wonderful to sit on in the showroom. It was supple yet firm and looked gorgeous. Six months later, it's still beautiful in our home. But it's terrible to sit on. The cushioning is completely blown out. The makers used a low-grade foam, and seats that were once wonderfully supportive now sink like an old beanbag chair. Your back starts to ache after 10 minutes of sitting. The sofa also lacks springs and instead uses "Pirelli webbing," which I understand is rubber straps. Whatever it is, the product has been a huge disappointment. Our particular model was built in Italy, not E. Europe or China as I understand some of CD's sofas are. It's made no difference. I notice Macy's no longer lists the sectional on their website and seems to have stopped selling Chateau D'ax altogether. I'm not surprised. We'd return it but live too far away to make shipping it economically worthwhile.

A month ago I purchased the Luke leather sectional from Macy's in Florida made by Chateau D'Ax in brown leather.  It contains three pieces: a sofa, corner unit, and loveseat.  I placed the order because it was not in the warehouse and I asked, specifically, that the dye lot be the same so that all three pieces would be the same color and type of leather.  Two pieces have pebble looking leather, the other is smooth and the colors are shiny leather and two are matte colored. I've had to return it twice. This cost me $3,600 so it isn't cheap but I am beginning to think this product is. The delivery men were annoyed when I told them what was wrong. The salesmen were nice at the Macy's store but I just don't think that three times will be the charm. The sectional doesn't even smell like leather. Smells more like a chemical product. I'm afraid that I will have leather peeling, discoloring, etc., like some others on this site. I'm concerned and not sure what to do.

Hi. We just ordered the same Luke sectional from Macy's and are now concerned because we stumbled across this website. The sectional is supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks, but I don't know if we should just cancel it.  How has your situation turned out? The price for a this size sectional was fair but it's not exactly free.  Yikes!

The connecting plates on my three piece sectional that I got at Bloomingdales 3 years ago broke.  I used the email address given below by Marion and heard back within 24 hours. "Chris" (no idea if it's a real name) helped me diagnose the problem and got back to me within a couple hours each time.  Once we determined what the issue was he sent replacement plates and a tracking number.

I purchased a leather love seat and sofa from Fortune Off.  After 3 years I noticed the leather peeling.  I was stuck because Fortune Off closed down.  After shopping around and showing the stores what I was dealing with and maybe thought it was fixable.  They explained that I was sold BONDED leather sofa.   Unfortunately, I learned what bonded leather is after 3 years.  Its actually 16% or so leather .  The rest is made from other materials mixed in.  Sort of like the process of chicken nuggets.  It IS NOT 100% leather.   I am trying to stay away from any leather for my next sofa b/c of the bad experience I had. STAY AWAY FROM BONDED LEATHER!!!!!
