DO NOT BUY MAYTAG AND DO NOT USE A& E FACTORY SERVICE!
Complaint

This is a complaint against both A&E Factory Service and Maytag (which is Whirlpool).
We purchased a microwave in April. In June the Microwave breaks. We call Whirlpool and then tell us to call their ‘preferred warranty service’ A& E. We call A& E and were told the soonest they could come out would be in 10 days. In addition, we have to be home between the hours of 8am and 5pm (not kidding about that) and if the drive called and no one answered it would be an automatic reschedule. So my husband take off of work and sits by the phone waiting.
Around 3:30 he calls A& E to see how much longer he needs to wait. They tell him we are next on the list. At 5:45pm the technician calls to tell us they would not be coming out and need to reschedule. You can imagine how happy I was to hear that. The soonest they could get us in was July 23rd. I asked to speak with the manager and after all my complaining they moved it up to the 19th. Same rules apply. Need to be at home between 8am and 5pm and you must answer the phone when they call. A& E does show on July 19th and says he needs to order parts and would reschedule us for August 1 st .
I don’t think so!! I call A& E and get no where. They can’t do anything, they need to order parts and don’t know when they will be in. Now I call Maytag (Whirlpool) to complain regarding their ‘preferred warranty service provider’ and to see what we can do. They said they are going to put a rush on the parts, have them shipped directly to A& E and give me an extra year warranty on my microwave.
Ok, not happy, but I will settle. That was on the 19th. On the 23rd I called Maytag to see if they had an estimated ship date of the parts. They have no record that parts were ordered (just what I wanted to hear). I speak with the supervisor and she tells me the parts are on back order and she will call me in 3-4 days to let me know one of two things. Either they will wait for the parts and repair the microwave OR they will just replace it. That day came and gone.
I called Maytag again. They tell me the parts won’t be here until August 20th and they are sending my ‘case’ to a special division to see if they can get my microwave replace. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Here it is the 31st , no parts and still my microwave is not working. I have been without a microwave for a month now. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG AND DO NOT USE A& E FACTORY SERVICE!!!!!!!!

My washing machine has broken on me on three different occasions with in 14 months of having it. It is the same problem over and over! Maytag says that it is past a year so the warranty is out. Even though it is the exact same issue.... Never, ever, buying a maytag anything and will advise everyone I know about the lousy quality that Maytag puts out...
We purchased Maytag appliances (refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher) 2 1/2 years ago when we completely remodeled our kitchen. We have an extended warranty on our refrigerator, so NO PROBLEM,
We are not so fortunate with the range. Nothing but problems. Had to replace the complete bottom of the oven because the racks fell, spilled 2 casseroles that went all over the bottom of the oven. Could not clean well enough to keep the burning smell out, so we replaced the entire bottom oven. We have 26 guests coming for Thanksgiving lunch and the racks will not stay put in oven. Service man came out on Monday to check oven again. When he opened the door, the 2 racks immediately fell to the bottom of the oven. He charged us $91.25 to tell us it could not be repaired. He kindly called Michigan and explained the situation to the rep. The rep was most unconcerned but did say they had not had this problem before. I thought it should be handled as a RECALL, A DEFECTIVE RANGE THAT CAN NOT BE REPAIRED. Eric, an employee with Maytag was most unconcerned. He said we should hear from them in 24 to 48 hours. This was 12;30 pm ON mONDAY, SO WE THOUGHT AT 12:30 ON wEDNESDAY, 48 HOURS SHOULD BE UP, SO i CALLED mAYTAG AT mICHIGAN. i WAS THEN INFORMED THAT 48 HOURS WAS 6 DAYS BECAUSE 8 HOURS IN EACH WORKING DAY. i TOLD HIM IN THE sOUTH THE 24 TO 48 HOURS RUN CONSECTIVELY. i HAVE 26 GUESTS COMING FOR LUNCH ON tHANKSGIVING, AND MY RACK IS PROPTED UP ON BRICK IN MY OVEN TO PREPARE LUNCH. i HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH AN OUTRAGEOUS SITUATION WHERE NO ONE WAS EVEN CONCERNED. hAD TO PAY $91.29 FOR THE GUY TO COME OUT AND ADVISE US THAT THE RANGE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. i NEVER WANT TO SEE A MAYTAG APPLIANCE AGAIN. i WILL TELL EVERYONE i COME IN CONTACT WITH WHAT A LOUSY RANGE MAYTAG TURNS OUT. i DO HOPE THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING AND REMEMBer me in Selma, Alabama having cook the primitive way for 26 guests to eat on Thanksgiving day. Good luck Eric, You need it with that company you work for. Hope they are better to their employees than they are with their customers. I will spend the rest of my life telling everyone how sorry MAYTAG PRODUCTS ARE.
It has quit on me again after only 6 months of use.......
NEED I SAY ANYMORE?
Maytag and anyone affiliated with them should be cursed!!!!!
Think about it over and over in your heads people!! and lets WATCH the FALL
of Maytag, and smile.
disgusted
Thanks
