on nov 5th i had direct tv installed in my home the direct tv insstaller fell through my ceiling. i was told he would have to call his supervisor to come look at the damage and take pictures of it as well. his supervisor came out viewed the damage and said they would pay for it to get repaired as soon as i got an estimate of the damage. i did this nov 7 i got 3 estimates called nate faust whom was the supervisor i was to deal with he said fax all estimates and we should have it repaired within a week. i called each person that i had asked them to fax it to him. he called left a message on my answering machine letting me know that it was okay to have one of the companys come out and repair it then he would pay them. i called him back to let him know whom i had chosen and i wanted to know how this person would get paid he said call him back or he would call me back to let me know how it would be handled. nov 14 i called him he said everything was good and my claim was approved and he directtv would send me a check in a week for the damage to be repaired. i did not want to have the person fix my ceiling till i got the check. nov 21 called nate to let him know i had not received anything no answer just his voicemail left a message kept calling to let him know that i had company coming and needed my ceiling fixed no answer just voicemail. needles to say ceiling was not fixed before thanksgiving. kept calling nate after no return calls from him called his supervisor was told they would have nate contact me about this and if not him someone would call me . dec 4th nate finally returns my call with an excuse about he's the low man on the totum pole and he gave me ron andersons number told me to call him and he could help me. now let me tell you i have seven children and having this hole in my ceiling during the cold winter months was inconvenient to my family i went ahead and paid for the repairs to my ceiling because of them and because my heating bill was outrageous because of this i have yet to receive payment for the damages that occurred at my residence i still am having a hard time getting anyone at direct tv to help me they keep saying they did not get the fax of my damages i have pictures that i took of the ceiling they said send it to damage claims @ directv.com there is no website for this i am very upset i do not plan on staying with them after my year contract does anyone know who i can contact to get this problem resolved?

Let me know if you get any responses because we have a claim from damages made as a result of the installation crew mnailing their cable into our roof, which caused leakage.  We submitted all of the necessary paperwork and pictures to their Claims department, via e-mail on the 26th of June.   ot a response from a "Nicole" in Claims stating that they received our claim and that they submitted the claims to the installation company and that they had 10 days to respond.....  Someone did come aout and take pictures, but other than that, nothing, they never did respond. Surprise!
I ahave been emailing and calling ever since, but as you know, there is no one that you can talk to and when you call customer service they pass you on to the claims department better known as "The Twilight Zone" Or "Land of Lost Claims".  Here it is the 20th of July, almost a month later and still no response.

I have the same issues as most of the people in this group. I spoke with another rep today who is opening a new claim for me but am interested in looking into other means to show DirecTV and AT&T I am serious about this claim. I received an email with instructions on what to send in, followed the instructions to the T, received my claim back in the mail saying it was no deliverable, when that was the address I was given by DIrecTV.

We have several propedties that have damage. They said its our fouģt. I informed them, that we did not put huge holes in the side of hour homes. We did not take a sledge hammer to the floor of our homes to make a hole for cable lines . They went thru 3 layers of flooring

I to am waiting on a claim for 4 months..! A retailer of directv put a hole in my garage while installing wire & boxes. In which they did it wrong. I did everything they said to do. Send in pictures, estimates, paper work from that third party, etc. And now, I'm getting the shaft. My a class action law suit. They don't leave you any choices. The claims dept. guy is named Seth meyer, and really no big help.

We have rental property also. They have destroyed our homes. First Direct tv said if it's rental, they are suppose to come thru landlord before touching property. We never got a phone call. And if we did and give approval. We did not give them permission to put holes all on the outside of our vinyl and put a sledge hammer to our three layer floors, to where you were looking at the ground. We have nice homes new sheet Rick walls. They drilled thru the sides of our homes into the new walls busting up sheet Rick. The holes and cable lines are fling and twisting all over our property. Looks horrible. Plus now we have holes all over the outside of our homes

I just had the same thing happen to my rent house. My renter called to get the premmission and I said ok but make sure they call me and make sure they put the cable at the bottom of the vinyl like it was done in the past. Oh no I went and looked and they screwed into my vinyl right unde the picture window all around the house almost midway. Looks awful and now they are giving te run around. What happened in your case? What should I do?

I have not received my bill 3 out of the last 4 months. I have had to pay via the web site. I'm an old fashion guy and like to receive a paper bill and pay by check. After numerous calls to their customer service I continue to get the same answer. "The bills have been mailed and to check with the Post Office". This I have done and the Post Office tells me they cannot deliver what has not been mailed.I have asked them for the phone number of their Corporate Office. Low and behold they don't know it. I did a google search and found it. I was turned over to the office of the President. After explaining my problem I was put on hold for 8 minutes. When she came back, guess what her answer was " The bills have been mailed and to check with the Post Office". Not even we will tag your account to be sure the bill is mailed. I asked them to put a trace on the missing bills. Answer "we don't do that!" With that I threw up my hands and gave up. Dish TV here I come. No wonder this country has slid into a Corporate World of "I don't give a [***]".

The reason you cannot get anywhere is that you are talking to people in the Phillippines that can speak English but do not comprehend English.  Next time you call them, ask them what country that are in and if they can transfer you to a person who speaks English as a first language.  They cannot.

I purchased an new +450,000 home and had directtv installed. During installation, the guy stepped on the air conditioner condenser line for the airconditioner in the attic.  This was not noticed until there was water on the floor and the ceiling starting falling.  I contacted directtv and was directed to send them pictures and documentation.  Mind you we had just had the house inspected for closure and moved in for less than 3 weeks. Needless to say the directtv responded by saying "we do not have documenation that reflects how our installation caused the damages you are claiming.  I'm talking about nearly $10,000 worth of water damage through ceilings and walls of a new home.  And they are advertizing their claim to excellent service for so many years. They have not heard the last from me.
