on nov 5th i had direct tv installed in my home the direct tv insstaller fell through my ceiling. i was told he would have to call his supervisor to come look at the damage and take pictures of it as well. his supervisor came out viewed the damage and said they would pay for it to get repaired as soon as i got an estimate of the damage. i did this nov 7 i got 3 estimates called nate faust whom was the supervisor i was to deal with he said fax all estimates and we should have it repaired within a week. i called each person that i had asked them to fax it to him. he called left a message on my answering machine letting me know that it was okay to have one of the companys come out and repair it then he would pay them. i called him back to let him know whom i had chosen and i wanted to know how this person would get paid he said call him back or he would call me back to let me know how it would be handled. nov 14 i called him he said everything was good and my claim was approved and he directtv would send me a check in a week for the damage to be repaired. i did not want to have the person fix my ceiling till i got the check. nov 21 called nate to let him know i had not received anything no answer just his voicemail left a message kept calling to let him know that i had company coming and needed my ceiling fixed no answer just voicemail. needles to say ceiling was not fixed before thanksgiving. kept calling nate after no return calls from him called his supervisor was told they would have nate contact me about this and if not him someone would call me . dec 4th nate finally returns my call with an excuse about he's the low man on the totum pole and he gave me ron andersons number told me to call him and he could help me. now let me tell you i have seven children and having this hole in my ceiling during the cold winter months was inconvenient to my family i went ahead and paid for the repairs to my ceiling because of them and because my heating bill was outrageous because of this i have yet to receive payment for the damages that occurred at my residence i still am having a hard time getting anyone at direct tv to help me they keep saying they did not get the fax of my damages i have pictures that i took of the ceiling they said send it to damage claims @ directv.com there is no website for this i am very upset i do not plan on staying with them after my year contract does anyone know who i can contact to get this problem resolved?

    I'm also going through issues with them.  They placed a dish on my house after I told them I wanted it on the ground.  They put the line right in front of my house.  Then he cracked my siding and said this happen all the time.  I stop the installation.  I am not going to contact them anymore.  I am going to take them to small claims court you all should do the same and contact the BBB..

    I've been fighting direct TV for 3 months now.  The dish ripped a hole in my roof. I have followed and submitted everything they requested. I keep getting the run around with then. While my roof sits there with a hole in it causing more damage. Someone came out on Feb. 14 took more pictures said someone will get back with me in 24hrs waited 2 weeks, than I started calling. All they say is the sub contractor will get with me in 24hrs no calls. So I call them leave messages. My contract is with direct TV not their sub contractor. I should not have to deal with them. This is not right or fair
    Does anyone have advice on how to handle this.  I cannot put a claim on my home owners because the damaged is less than my deductible.

    I have been calling directv to get my claim number and list of information needed and can not get anyone on phone. I was given this number 1-866-454-5668

    Direct tv damage claims tx - after being assigned  this claim# 150313-006712 we never heard from the provider-  on about april 2016 i disconnected the improperly placed cables that were causing water damage inside our home - mail sent to po box 4227/englewood address provided was returned undelivered/unable to forward

    I have the same issue with Directv and they have the gall to put the wrong address on their Claim Letter that they sent me. They sent my account to collections because I disputed the charges. They have caused damage to my roof, attic and ceiling I have been trying to get my issue resolved since 2014 but to no avail.  I believe that it would be an excellent idea to get an action going against Directv.

    I've been getting water in my ceiling for 4 months. Direct. Rep came out 2 weeks ago took pictures and did some paper work and said I'd hear from some one in 2 weeks. Needless to say I've never heard from anyone. I called direct tv and no one has the answers nor will they contact the "claims department." I told them I'll give them one week and I'm going to contact my local news team who take on these kind of complaints. Then I will be cancelling my account (been with them for 17 years) and I'm done. They couldn't give me free direct tv for a year for me to stay with this company! $180 a month for them to damage my roof and ignore my calls! What a joke!

    We are having issues also.  They installed it wrong on our roof. I received a claim number sent in all the paperwork via e-mail as it states and have not heard a thing.   Do any of you have a phone number to call because I keep getting the run around. We dropped them and I have nothing good to say about them.

    I had to replace my 12 year old roof in Aug. 2018. The footers said that there was roots wood around the previous dish brackets and the recent dish. I also had leaking along the edges of roof from water running down. In the process of filing a claim. They damn well better cover it!

    Sorry [***] company needless to say been trying to get 2tvs and an xbox replaced for 4months now nothing had a lightning strike nearby causing power surge that came thru their cables and fried these pieces of equipment why because they did not ground the dish on my house have been sent to three different states talking to them trying to resolve this by the way none of these states is actually the state im in really was told no field rep really a company that size has no field reps [***] they deserve to be put out of business maybe all of us need to cut our service and tell them to get screwed
