on nov 5th i had direct tv installed in my home the direct tv insstaller fell through my ceiling. i was told he would have to call his supervisor to come look at the damage and take pictures of it as well. his supervisor came out viewed the damage and said they would pay for it to get repaired as soon as i got an estimate of the damage. i did this nov 7 i got 3 estimates called nate faust whom was the supervisor i was to deal with he said fax all estimates and we should have it repaired within a week. i called each person that i had asked them to fax it to him. he called left a message on my answering machine letting me know that it was okay to have one of the companys come out and repair it then he would pay them. i called him back to let him know whom i had chosen and i wanted to know how this person would get paid he said call him back or he would call me back to let me know how it would be handled. nov 14 i called him he said everything was good and my claim was approved and he directtv would send me a check in a week for the damage to be repaired. i did not want to have the person fix my ceiling till i got the check. nov 21 called nate to let him know i had not received anything no answer just his voicemail left a message kept calling to let him know that i had company coming and needed my ceiling fixed no answer just voicemail. needles to say ceiling was not fixed before thanksgiving. kept calling nate after no return calls from him called his supervisor was told they would have nate contact me about this and if not him someone would call me . dec 4th nate finally returns my call with an excuse about he's the low man on the totum pole and he gave me ron andersons number told me to call him and he could help me. now let me tell you i have seven children and having this hole in my ceiling during the cold winter months was inconvenient to my family i went ahead and paid for the repairs to my ceiling because of them and because my heating bill was outrageous because of this i have yet to receive payment for the damages that occurred at my residence i still am having a hard time getting anyone at direct tv to help me they keep saying they did not get the fax of my damages i have pictures that i took of the ceiling they said send it to damage claims @ directv.com there is no website for this i am very upset i do not plan on staying with them after my year contract does anyone know who i can contact to get this problem resolved?

Damage claims dept is a joke  . Take them right to court  and stop wasting your time . All that dept does is pass the blame game and its never their fault .When you take them to small claims court they start to listen then

Same thing happened with us , some joker thought it would be best to attach the dish to the outside 6ft wall over looking next door. Guess what, bad idea like I said to him. He cracked the wall and lifted bricks. Not happy, now I'm wasting my time over their mistake.

I had an install done on my new house. The dude dropped a ladder on my $250 grill desrtoying it and the downspout they were so reassuring that everything would be taken care of now the dude wants me to accept estimate for a grill that is on sale at wal mart when by the time i receive my check (if I even do) the grill will no longer be on sale (a**hole) and to top it all off they decided to screw the cable all down the side of my house at eye level, when they could have very easily put a small hole in the side of my foundation and routed it through the floor. DISRESPECTFUL IGNORANT and DESTRUCTIVE [***]

My roof developed a leak after a install. For some reason the contractor doesn't use the existing brackets, but installed a new one. In the process of removing the old dish (Direct TV as well), they caused the old bracket to leak. I had it repaired for $250 and as of yet the contractors are telling damage claims it is not their fault as it was a old install, not theirs. This issue here is CONTRACTORS! They don't give a hoot. So this was on a rental and after this tenant vacates, no more Direct TV. As for my residence where I was contemplating Direct TV...forget it!

And if you must get Direct TV, don't let them install it on the house! Anywhere!

There was damage to my rental home at 2349 Manhattan, Erie, Mi.as the dish was blown off the side of my house due to a faulty installation. You should have the estimate and other necessary paper work submitted by my renter, Jeff Cousino. I would like to get the reparis made ASAP as more damage could be done due to the elements. You were requested to mail a check payable to Mr. Michael Miller, 4276 Clegg Road, Lambertville, Mi. 48144. I would like to know when the check will be mailed as we want to get the job repaired before additional damage is done to the house. The information was mailed to you in December of last year. Thank you. Bill Miller

Directv caused a $600 damage to my roof, the bozzo walked around the roof when installing the dish. The CSR assured me that they will pay for the damage as long as we send the receipt from a licensed contractor. After 3 weeks of sending the estimate, as expected, they denied the claim. Stay away from Directv. You've been warned.

went away for the winter and when i came back i found a direct tv dish installed on a duplex i own. The cracked two pieces of vynil siding doing the install and then lagged 6 bolts into the opposite side of the duplex to attach the dish to the house. My son who was taking care of the property told them they had to put it on a pole, not to install it on the house.  I called Direct TV and they gave me the run around on who did the install.  Would not give me the name of the installer or send me a copy of the contract which needed to be signed by the property owner. The above messages do not bode well for getting reimbursed for my siding.

What a bunch of ripoff artist!! I have more respect for the guy pulling a gun on you and robbing you-at least they will look you in the eye and tell you the intent to rob you!!! I installed DIRECT TV. We couldn't move into the house after install so we cancelled it the next day. They then began their lies about how we didn't cancel it in time, and we still owed them $400 for early cancellation of their contract. We received absolutely zero service, we didn't watch 1 second of programming and instead of taking the high road and doing what is right, which is just cancel it, they decided to take the route of the cheat and crook. They have got to be stopped from doing this to people-lying and getting away with extorting consumers out of millions if not billions with their contract. They also damaged my roof on installation and I am filing a lawsuit against them and their corp. which is based in Larry D. Hunter Pres./CEO 2230 E Imperial Hwy El Segundo, CA 90245. Patrick T. Doyle Vice Pres./same address/ Janet Williamson-Secretary-Professional thieves!!
