Omitting information, hidden charges

I saw an advertisement offering 4 posters for $2.00 each. I ordered four posters, and when I checked my credit card statement I saw a $39.00 charge. I never agreed to this!  

I went to their website and discovered that they enroll you into some kind of membership. The terms and conditions of this service are not clearly posted on the order page. I think they do this on purpose to hide the fact that the customer will be billed more than he expects.

Their terms of service do not even specify how much they charge for shipping and handling. It's clearly a violation. Every customer is not aware how much they will take from the credit card. Here is from their site

"Your initial order will be shipped to you within 10 days of your ordering. Please wait at least 2 weeks from order to receive your initial order. A one-time handling fee  will be added to your order. Cancel anytime by calling us at 877-807-2929."

I called to cancel my "membership" right away.

Please note that they will charge you a whopping $9.95 per poster, plus a shipping and handling fee.

Run from this company. I hope someone gives them a lesson and closes their business.

    we are too in if theres anything filed we just got scammed too! 39.80 for a membership that we never saw a thing about! we thought we were getting 5 posters for 5.00! scammers!!! how can we fix this!

    Those jerks got me too. I totally believed their "2 dollar deal." They are an awful company and I hope someone takes them down.

    im also a victim of these people i called my bank and changed my account so the charges will stop i also filed a complaint with the bbb

    I tried to order just 4 posters from there site for $5 each or some low number like that. They sent my posters charging me $40 and then just kept sending. By the time I realized they were charging me $40 a pop for things I didn't order it was too late. So I called and canceled. The woman I talked to was very polite and I thought it was over. They didn't send me anything for a month and then out of no where two more $40 orders were put on my account.  Not only has this disgusting company wrongfully charged me hundreds of dollars, apparently canceling doesn't even work.

    If anyone has a way to get back at them with a lawsuit please count me in. My email is

    I too was fooled as many other customers. I also purchased four posters for $2.00 each and didn't know about these hidden fees. I strongly agree that legal action needs to take place. If you have anymore information about this situation please contact me at anthony_whiting@comcast.net

    I got posters from them at $5.00 each and my card was charged $39.80 3x in 1 day.Some thing needs to be done with them.We all bust our butts for our money and they sit back and get rich off us.

    My email is gillmore@pa.net.  I just posted a complaint about PosterPass.  Has there been any progress in going for a class action suit?  I feel a company such as this should be SHUT DOWN asap!!  This company is getting away with the scam.  I know there are people who are just paying the charges rather than complaining so the company is making money by it's actions!  If someone is filing a class action suit, I would be interested in joining the effort.

    posterpass is nothing but a scam. I had over a period of 2 months almost $150 dollars taken out of my account. They said that they would refund my money, but they claim they didn't recieve my stuff. If you do decide to go with a lawsuit. I'm with ya. I want my money back.

    I hadmy account compromised by someone.  I immediately closed the account upon discovery.  Poster pass was contacted, and after a few delays I was credited back with all unauthorized withdrawls.  Other than having to close my account and re-open another, I am happy to have this issue resolved. THANKS!

    i have had this dont to me as well and i got charged it twice i agree and the law suit and i will gladdly go before a judge with my evedence

    let me take a deep breath first.  i ordered their 4 for $2.00(FREE SHIPPING!)day before yesterday.  i checked my statement today and my jaw dropped.  $33.96 for 4 posters.  on top of that, today(a day and a half later)  a charge for $39.00, which overdrafted my account.  then another charge for $0.29, which overdrafted me again!  for my four posters that i JUST ordered 2 days ago, has cost me a whopping $125.17.  SOOOOOOOOOO not worth it.  I will dispute charges with my bank tomorrow, but count me in.  TOTALLY!

    WOW, I wish I had seen this post before I ordered, this is the worst company I have ever ordered from online, if this goes anywhere further than a blog site please let me know at jeezell@gmail.com. I would NEVER recommend this site--awful service.

    Also, has anyone looked into a formal complaint with the BBB?

    I too, have been scammed.  I have currently filed a police report and filed an avodavit with my bank for fraud. I had to also destroy my card and open up a new account.  I should get all my money back eventually, but what a hassle and waste of my time.  In a matter of 7 days, they debited my account over $400.00!  Not to mention the overdraft fees that ensued, while my bank was investigating this........I will gladly go after this company and others like it!

    Same here!!! I feel really stupid, but I signed up for 4 posters for $4 each and free shiping.  I had no idea they would charge my credit card $39.80 every day since the initial transaction.  Someone has to stop these guys!!!

    Count me in on the class action suit!  I too was scammed, and lost a LOT of money!  I signed up for the $2 posters and was out of town for two weeks.  When I got back I had 12, yes TWELVE, packages on my door step.  So I checked my credit card charges on the internet and I have 12 charges of $40 each!!!!  I checked their website again and it says something about sending two packages a month as part of their program.  I was gone for 2 weeks only and got 12!!  I tried to get my money back, but they say they have a no refunds policy.  I'm so mad!  I'm going to dispute the charges on my credit card, but who knows if I will get them taken off.  My e-mail address is dshefl@gpcom.net

    Yeah, I got hit by the 12 packages in two weeks bullcrap, too. Two a month? I don't think so. I got wise after the fourth package I received and quit opening them. Got my 12 unopened boxes after that. I'd be interested in something class-action as well since the fine print was so small and nothing was made explicitly clear regarding their charges. They never sent me a login password to access my account so I couldn't even get in! Also took seven rings of the phone before ANYONE picked up at their center. I'm filing a BBB complaint right now having cancelled my account (which I still have not gotten the email confirming that). If anyone goes class action, my email is ginnokgae@gmail.com.

    It feels silly to say the same thing as everyone else here, but I thought I might as well thrwo my name in in case a class action ever goes through. I even called and canceled my account and they keep charging me and sending me posters I never asked for or agreed to.
