Omitting information, hidden charges

I saw an advertisement offering 4 posters for $2.00 each. I ordered four posters, and when I checked my credit card statement I saw a $39.00 charge. I never agreed to this!  

I went to their website and discovered that they enroll you into some kind of membership. The terms and conditions of this service are not clearly posted on the order page. I think they do this on purpose to hide the fact that the customer will be billed more than he expects.

Their terms of service do not even specify how much they charge for shipping and handling. It's clearly a violation. Every customer is not aware how much they will take from the credit card. Here is from their site

"Your initial order will be shipped to you within 10 days of your ordering. Please wait at least 2 weeks from order to receive your initial order. A one-time handling fee  will be added to your order. Cancel anytime by calling us at 877-807-2929."

I called to cancel my "membership" right away.

Please note that they will charge you a whopping $9.95 per poster, plus a shipping and handling fee.

Run from this company. I hope someone gives them a lesson and closes their business.

    yes i just ordered a few posters and after looking at my credit statement and everyones feedback i immediately contacted them and canceled the membership, and order, so act fast now before they keep chargine you

    ordered from posterpass.com they billed me 39.80 for 4 posters that were being sold for 2.00 ea. i never recieved any posters in the mail, i called to get my money back and cancel my so called membership. I ended up getting billed 39.80x3 for 8 posters. after calling them i finally recieved a package which i sent back, how ironic. i have been reimbersed for two shipments but i have to wait 10 business days to get the third. watch out !!

    i saw a ~39$ charge from them on my card (i did 5 posters for 25$) today, found this site, called the customer service number, and was able to cancel my "membership" easily.

    i too was deceived by this company, fortunately i check my online banking daily and was able to cancel before it was even shipped to me.

    those of you posting your e-mails thinking you are going to charge this company with fraud are wasting your time.

    read the terms and conditions next time, many companies like this exist.

    I REALLY WISH I HAD CHECKED!!! IF there's a class action suit - please include me!

    I let my nephew order the Special Deal on posters on this website. When the box arrived, I sent it to my nephew. Meanwhile, I spent several weeks in a different town. When my husband asked "Why do these boxes keep showing up?" I assumed that the posters were sent separately (five total). When box 6, 7, and 8 appeared, I told him they must be sending duplicates and I would take care of it when I arrived home.

    Almost $300 later - I cancelled my "membership" (which I knew nothing of) and am returning the posters for a promised refund. I'm waiting to see if I need to dispute the charges. I am not happy about this at all.

    I TOO HAVE THESE CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD......UNDE TWO NAMES HOME ARTS DIRECT ANDPOSTERPASS.COM.  MY CHARGES ARE $39.80 from posterpass and this is for each shipment.   and then there is the $33.96 FOR HOME ARTS DIRECT  I HAVE A TOTAL OF $153.36..I NOW HAVE 10 POSTERS...WHEN I CALLED TO CANCEL AND GET RESULTION ALL I GOT WAS THEY HAVE FULL DISCLOSURE AND I SHOULD HAVE READ IT ON PAGE 2????????  I AM GOING TO RETURN THE POSTERS AND TRY TO GET A REFUND THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS ..I CAN PURCHASE THESE POSTERS ANYWHERE FOR $2.00  WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP...WHAT  A RIP-OFFF

    I too was ripped off by this company.  I orderded the 4 posters for $2 each and was charged $39 One week later $39 again.  Still only another week later another $39.  This is outrageous.  This company has to be stopped

    I was only a memeber for 2 weeks and they shipped 4 shipments are 39.80 already.  Also charged a 39.80 fee on top of the original "deal" of 5 posters for $5 each.  Just canceled and sending back all shipments, they say they will refund when they receive.

    They have charged my account 4 times in a week and a half! And I cancelled after the first shipment but they negelected to cancel it. These rude people are ilk and I'd be happy to sue them

    I have beencharged 4 times in 10 days! I cancelled but Posterpass says I only called to ask about the policy. Rude people and they were fast to charge me, but say it'll take 4 weeks for refund? RIPOFF

    I just scammed also! I am sooooo furious.  I bought 4 poster's for $2.00 each.  I just viewed my account transactions and read that I was charged $33.96.  I honestly cannot afford this. I bought these posters for my daughter's dorm room. What can we do!!!!

    I did the same thing they chargeed me $36.99
    I went to my bank and told them about this and there
    looking into the matter to get my money back
    im in on whatever we can do to close it down.
    or to file a lawsuit.

    and file for a new one and
    it took most of my day your company
    should pay back a little more for
    this effort I had to go through

    i too was charged almost 40 bucks i canceled right away so they wouldnt do it again but i still didnt get my 4 posters i am down with the action suit let me know info on it

    Count me in for the lawsuit as well.  I called and complained and the only thing the man who's name is Kevin had to say was, it clearly states what the charges are.  Trust me I wouldn't have paid 9 dollars and some odd cents for posters.  This is ridiculas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just called 1877-807-2929 because I kept receiving shipments and they canceled the automatic shipments for me and said I was welcome to send anything I didn't want back for a refund.  It's annoying, but I had no problems.

    i am so glad that i found this is time. i just ordered some posters because i thought it was a great deal and than i found this website and i called and cancelled my order right away. thanks

    I have been trying for three week for Posterpass to put a $34.23 charge back on my debit card for posters that I returned.  They claimed that it takes 10 business days and that was 2 weeks ago.  I am also telling people not to deal with Posterpass.  They are big time ripoff artists.
