I saw an advertisement offering 4 posters for $2.00 each. I ordered four posters, and when I checked my credit card statement I saw a $39.00 charge. I never agreed to this!  

I went to their website and discovered that they enroll you into some kind of membership. The terms and conditions of this service are not clearly posted on the order page. I think they do this on purpose to hide the fact that the customer will be billed more than he expects.

Their terms of service do not even specify how much they charge for shipping and handling. It's clearly a violation. Every customer is not aware how much they will take from the credit card. Here is from their site

"Your initial order will be shipped to you within 10 days of your ordering. Please wait at least 2 weeks from order to receive your initial order. A one-time handling fee  will be added to your order. Cancel anytime by calling us at 877-807-2929."

I called to cancel my "membership" right away.

Please note that they will charge you a whopping $9.95 per poster, plus a shipping and handling fee.

Run from this company. I hope someone gives them a lesson and closes their business.

    I ordered 4 posters for "$2." each and was whacked for $34.!! Looked further down my bank statement and found I had been whacked again for $48. I hadn't ordered anything else!!! Sign me up for the class action.

    well, looks like they've changed their business norms, at least somewhat. i was afraid of monthly charges so i called my bank and changed my card. as per a lot of customers, the phone number they provide on the site never works. but i surprised when a person picked up the first time i tried. he helped me cancel my account and get a refund which, as per a confirmation email, will occur in 3-5 days. this is a relief. maybe some other group has already made a class action suit. but still, there website has very ambiguous claims and stills hides the subscription fee i-dont-know where. [***].

    Posterpass's website is so incredibly misleading.  If this isn't false advertising, I don't know what is.  $2 dollars a poster?!?! Yeah right!!!  Try more like $20.  Try searching anywhere on their site for the specific shipping and handling amount...You won't find it because they never mention the exact amount.  The closest thing you come to an estimate of the shipping price is in their details and terms page, where it mentions a "small shipping and handling fee."  I hardly consider it a small fee when the cost of shipping and handling is ten times higher than the cost of the poster.  Another thing I have a problem with is that they say you can return their product for a full refund but what they don't mention is that they use DHL to ship their posters and if you try to return via return to sender, the post office won't allow it because DHL doesn't take return to sender.  In order to get your full refund, you have to pay for shipping and handling again!  What a rip.  Posterpass does not deserve to be in business.  Let's shut them down and make the owners pay for misleading so many people.

    Yep.. I agree. I just check my bank statement and they charged $44 dollars again. And whne I triend to log in to my account..they said my e-mail was invalid. WTF!!!! I will join in a class action suit.

    I got scammed too, they even charged me another 48.oo and sent more posters which I refused at the door, they still haven't given me credit. They need to burn.

    I was able to contact the company, however they told me they already sent another shipment, but supposedly cancelled the membership, they charged another 48.00, which still has not been credited to my account, I had called my bank, but the charge still went through, These people are scammers. Lets try to for the class action suit.

    is there room on the bus for 1 more?-- -cuz i too just got scammed--- had 34 dollars taken out for 4 "$2" dollar posters...   some damn [***]--- never gave me a confirmation or anything-- just took 34 dollars which was all i had in there - thank god-- and they left me with 22 cents---

    Okay so I'm jumping on this "posterpass" train too. I went ot that site. I saw what an offer they had, cause other sites would charge sometimes so much for just a poster and it didn't seem that bad too. So I thought "hey this would be good christmas presents for my friends this year, add that to what they are getting, plus I know they would love it!". So with out any warning or any legal notice on the site or any agreement that says "you agree to sign up and be apart of our club". It was very misleading and has since charged me 3 times: once for the first 4 which was $25, the second for two posters I never even knew I was getting let alone even agreed to be sent to me, and the third which I was charged today (on christmas, how nice, right?) for another $48. I just sent an email to my bank stating "Please do not pay any additional payments to this company on my behalf. Please confirm to me that this will be the case. I am working on getting my money refunded, as they have turned out to be somewhat of a scam, but they are closed due to Christmas". So now I'm waiting to see if the bank will do something and not just them, the postal service to take action with this and find out if they can get these guys, because most of their money that they are making is from shipping and handling, which is over $20 or more for some people, which I'm sad to hear about how some people are getting charged $120 for just 4 posters, which is outragous and plain cruel to do so to people. Bottom line is I hope someone can get a petition going besides contacting the banks, because if we can get enough people (hopefully over 300, if not 200) to say and state that they have too been scammed by this company, then send it to bank companies and postal services and then finally, the us government, then maybe they will get shut down, but that all depends on if someone will start one, and soon, before the year is over . . .

    Poster Pass.com website is totally misleading if not fraudulent.  Ordered foour postersx for $8,oo and billed $34.00 and then a few days later another four posters arrived by DHL and 48.00 billed to my credit card.  I have already returned via the post office the second shipment and sent a certified letter cancelling any future deliveries and telling them I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company

    I ordered 4 poster for 2 dollars each for Christmas 2007 and recieved the of course they cost more than the 2 Dollars and now an receiving poster I didn't order every 2 weeks it seems. They say the posters are being sent by analyzing my past selection. They don't know what I like. I was buying for a presents not for myself and if I were ordering for myself, there's no way they could know what I like from one order. The most I've been charged so far is 48 dollars plus. Putting a stop to it now.

    Did'nt find this until after an order was placed but, I agree with all that this is a scam.

    Yep, me too, seems I am prey for scammers... They charged my card $48..and I did not authorize it... Have the posters ready to mail back..but as I see here , doesn't look like I will get it back.
    They only sent 2 of the ones I had ordered.
    and then 2 more I never ordered., and did not even want.

    They won't get into trouble , seems these kind of people just keep on getting away with it

    check this out folks... BEWARE>>THEY have many names..same address, same phone #... BEWARE>>> they charged my card once for $34 under the name Home Arts Direct, then again under posterpass, for $48! My card was cancelled, and new one being issued, Posterpass had a pending charge of $48 ready to go through again today, for things I never got or authorized!!!
