Omitting information, hidden charges

I saw an advertisement offering 4 posters for $2.00 each. I ordered four posters, and when I checked my credit card statement I saw a $39.00 charge. I never agreed to this!

I went to their website and discovered that they enroll you into some kind of membership. The terms and conditions of this service are not clearly posted on the order page. I think they do this on purpose to hide the fact that the customer will be billed more than he expects.

Their terms of service do not even specify how much they charge for shipping and handling. It's clearly a violation. Every customer is not aware how much they will take from the credit card. Here is from their site

"Your initial order will be shipped to you within 10 days of your ordering. Please wait at least 2 weeks from order to receive your initial order. A one-time handling fee  will be added to your order. Cancel anytime by calling us at 877-807-2929."

I called to cancel my "membership" right away.

Please note that they will charge you a whopping $9.95 per poster, plus a shipping and handling fee.

Run from this company. I hope someone gives them a lesson and closes their business.

Here is a link to their Terms of Service. Please read carefully before making your decision.

Yes, I would join a class action. I also fell victim. after the first order came, a week later another arrived with two more. I called and told them that I had no interest and would like to cancel my subscription. That kept anymore from coming. The package is sent DHL to the local post office and then sent to the address via shipping instructions, through the US postal service.I might see if there is a chance for mail fraud here. I was told to return items for reimbursment by dropping in the bulk mail return at the post office, and not to work with a postal clerk. Well, guess what, no bulk bin, so the clerk said she would send back, via bulk return. I've waited a month now, calling each week to poster pass and oddly enough the response is different every time. Wait 3 weeks, then wait 4-6 weeks. I will continue to call and demand a refund in the meantime. Total loss about $90.

I had the same result as everyone else here. I got the mystery charges after I had already called them and canceled the account. I called them and left two messages, found the CEO's e-mail off the internet and sent him an e-mail and then launched a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That was on Sunday and then I got the following e-mail on Monday...

    Good morning Mr. Smith,

Over the weekend we have received your e-mail on the issues that you have had with our company. We have gone ahead and refunded the 3 charges that you received from our company. You will receive a credit for $34.00 and 2 for $48.00 in 48-72 business hours. We apologize for the inconvenience that you have been through and hope that we can work this issue out.

If you have any questions please feel free to let me know

    Thank you,

I'm going to wait the 3 days to see if they actually refund the money they stole from me, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Anyway, if you're looking for a response it seems the BBB is the way to go. They contact the company on your behalf and they will also shut down the business if they get enough complaints.

By the way, if you're going to launch a complaint about them you have to search for Peel, Inc in the BBB website because it's a company that has about 10 other sub-companies below it. Peel, Inc. is the one you want to disappear. Then you'll see all the other ones go with it!

yeah um, on another page on the site is says they deliver to Canada, but not on the terms page. and also, look at the title, it says .com not PosterPass.com.

Just throwing that out there, and I'm sucked into the scam as well so if anyone can help me that would be great, I don't wanna have to get vigil.

I will support a class action suit against this company.  It is a SCAM, and I would like to thank everyone who knew to warn others.  Any reputable company would have nothing to hide.  They have proven that they are without integrity.  They are sick predators, and I think they need to be taught a lesson!  I don't think people should feel shame if they have been affected by a company that claimed to be trustworthy.  You are not alone.  If people remain silent, only then will this company continue to steal money from U.S. & Canadian citizens.  We can continue to post warnings all over the internet.  Soon they will have no place to hide.  I believe it is time to unite and put these jerks in their proper place!

I also ordered from this company 4 posters at $2.00 each, and they charged me the thirtynine dollar shipping fee plus $44.00 for each poster. As of yet I have not even recieved my postres and this was almost three months ago. I called my bank, and was told I would have to get a new card with a new number which I did. There are also other fantom charges on my card from myrewardnetwork, and grant consultant. You have to look for all of theese charges, because theese companies are all working together.I would gladly join in any class action suit.
