I bought tickets on Fandango.com and apparently they had an offer or rebate or something from this company, I remember specifically that i said no to any offers that came up as have been shopping online enough to know about these scams.
A month later I saw a charge for $11.99 from some company called TLG/GREAT FUN, I requested an investigation and found out it was this company. http://www.greatfunonline.com/
Upon calling they gave me some BS about signing up so this that etc... The woman I spoke to said that I would get the refund in 10 to 15 days hopefully they will refund it.
How can a popular website like Fandango have anything like this connected to their website are not worried about losing customer trust.

Our family booked an online reservation for Days Inn in San Diego Ca, after we booked our hotel online an agent come on and said in short terms (I saved chat conversation)
Agent: Thank you for booking with day’s inn…
I would like to give you the opportunity to get $20 off your days Inn reservation, receive a $30 cash back mail in rebate... you will also have a membership with
Day’s inn for future discounts for hotel room rates, vacation package, and much more…
Just for trying the traveler’s advantage you will receive the first 30 days for free…
Even if you decide to cancel you still get your cash back mail in rebate and you can cancel anytime, during or after the free trial period by calling our toll free number and you won’t be billed another dime, the cash back mail in rebate is yours to keep no matter what…
We stayed in San Diego for about a week in a half in and the next day after we returned home I cancelled the membership and received a confirmation # that I kept on file. Today, 4 Months latter I realized we were still being charged for the monthly membership fee of the $11.00 through my checking account.
I called TLG Great fun (866-584-2461) and informed them I was still being charged the 11 dollars and that I had not received my $30 mail in rebate.
The agent replied that she could only authorize 2 of the 3 monthly charges and that it would take up to 2-3 months for the reimbursement. If I wanted to receive the 3rd reimbursement, I would have to fax or mail a request.
Mail- in rebate: the agent informed me that it was sent to my email address…
*charging my account after cancelation; is a way of making money off from people who do not keep cancelation confirmations
* Not sending the 3rd reimbursement…is a way of making money off from people who would not bother faxing or mailing the request of only $11
*A mail-in rebate is a rebate sent to your home address and not emails
I would say that this company is a scam and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Originally they offered me 129.99 of my money back, I stated that is unacceptable. I did not authorize this membership and I was writing a letter to the Attorney General's office as we speak. I was put on hold while the rep talked with her supervisor. She immediately came back and informed me that my membership had been canceled and a full refund would be deposited back to my account in 7 to 10 working days. I was given a cancelation number.
SHAME SHAME SHAME on these companies that are selling us out! SHAME ON AIR TRAN FOR DOING THIS!!!
I'm in no way defending TLG*GREAT FUN but for them is just 'convenience'. They need "a door" to get to our pocket and the companies we ARE doing business with because WE TRUST them are flat out SELLING US OUT TO SHARKS.
I'm sick to realize Air Tran did this, or is in any way involved and connected with such "cheap" scam.
AIR TRAN = SHAME!
I wonder somehow if two can play their game. I'll put pressure on Drake catalogue to stop using their "offer".

When I contacted Great Fun, they informed me that I signed up for their service when I ordered from the FootSmart website. I have not purchased anything from FootSmart in over six months.
I did not authorize the Great Fun charge to my account. At no time did I supply them with my credit information. I did not receive any kind of confirmation when I supposedly registered with them. My credit card information was given to them from FootSmart without my consent.
I called FootSmart to cancel my catalog subscription. I told them exactly why I would no longer be ordering from them. Then, I reported the fraud to my bank and canceled my credit card.
If people are signing up and don't realize it there is something wrong with this picture and it shld be illegal. It shld be clear that this will be a recurring charge and sometype of notification of what you are paying for and how much shld be presented and a signature requested.
They are scamming people and getting away with it.

Back in January, I signed up with TrueCredit for a trial credit report, but cancelled within a few days. A month later, a mysterious charge appeared on my credit card statement with the name TLG GREATFN. I called them and they told me when I signed up with TrueCredit, I had agreed to subscribe a membership with GREATFUN for $14.99/month. I never heard about this company, let alone did any business with them. I asked them to refund my money but they refused so I called my credit card issuer and reported as a theft. They are going to send me a new card, and some form to fill out as complaint.
When I complained to Petfood Direct, their response was:
Thank you for writing. When the customer receives their order confirmation page the advertisement link to receive cash back on all future PetFoodDirect purchases was accessed by the customer and entered their information and submitted. We do not give Great Fun our customers’ information.
"I'm sorry to lose you as a customer. I hope that you'll be happy with the selection of product, prices, coupons, and shipping cost at our competitors.
We'll be here if you need us in the future and thanks for shopping with us."
Neither Petfood nor Great Fun offered me any kind of written proof that I signed up for this service. Even if I clicked on something accidental, GF was very backhanded by continuing to try to get me to keep their service. The quote below was Petfood's immediate response.
Very disappointing.
I'm happy to report an update! I received a follow-up email from Petfood Direct who have confirmed to me that they discontinued their association with Great Fun as of two months ago.
Hopefully this sort of thing won't happen again.
