These guys are total scammers, they claim to host your site and in order to do that you give them your credit card number. I did this and it was supposed to be less than $4.95/mo. Well once they have your information - LOOK OUT - they will rack up charges on it. Tried their customer service and can't get anywhere. STAY AWAY from them www.brainhost.com. I am filing a complaint with the state and trying to get the charges reversed on my card - WHICH THEY MAXED OUT.

    Hello - I work for Brain Host Customer Support. I'm sorry you're having problems with us. You can reach us any time by either calling us at 1-877-586-4694, submitting a ticket at www.brainhost.com/help, or emailing us at support [at] brainhost.com. We do offer a $4.95/month plan when you sign up for 4 years (our plans range in price from $4.95 per month to $9.95 per month, depending on how long you sign up for), which ends up being billed at $237.60 every 48 months, as is stated on our order page. If you would like to downgrade to a cheaper plan you can always do so by contacting us through any of the ways mentioned above (for the fastest response, I would recommend emailing the support [at] brainhost.com address). We also have a 30-day refund policy, so if you would like a refund that would also be no problem.

      on 2/10/12 i was on internetpayday site and was charged $76.75 from great host bank tells me. i canceled i thought thru reply on internet., calling.on 2/10/12, and today again calling.2/11 12 anyway i like to resolve this matter. email me rotti123@netzero.com i, joann slaven-thank you. please reply.

My name is Keri Ott hey I was just wondering i signed up today with you guys .  How is it that you collect the money that is made once people start hitting the web page that is made for them? Do you get checks in the mail or is money put directly into your bank account? my email address is kerikiyo@gmail.com and my phone number is 4435193281.  I see many people are disatisfied and was wondering what is up with that?

      That link provided does not work. There is no support by phone on Sunday. The invoice gives an invalid Support address.

      I just found out my website is no more.  I did not check my email for a while.  You had my phone number - I guess my $9.95 a month wasn't lucrative enough for you to call me???  My computer was down during that time.

      You are one of the most difficult companies to reach. I would love to get away from you but you do not answer my requests to transfer my website to another host. I have paid for everything and would like a refund for the balance as soon as I can transfer my website away from you.  Funny, when I established my website, I was not informed that you or anyone would be the host.  You should at least get in touch and introduce yourselves when you insert yourselves into someone's life. I will call tomorrow, again, and maybe this time I can actually get some help. I will not give up, and will make life difficult by sending emails on a daily basis to you until I get what I want.

        Did u get ur amount refund sir? even i got trapped with amount of 10,000 i blocked  my Credit card as i have shared my CVV Number with them. The worst part is that i did't initiate the payment but still it got debited from my account, don't know how? Pleas do reply me if you get any further information form them.       I have been trying to get answers from BrainHost for the last several weeks to no avail. Last time I heard from them they wanted money to renew the web domain. Since having my passwords changed several times and computer problems together with the site being down at the renewal time, I have not had any response from them apart from the automated request for renewal - nevertheless they have taken money from my account but the site is still down.
      There is no response from three tickets I raised on their webpage, nor from numerous e-mails to them.
