These guys are total scammers, they claim to host your site and in order to do that you give them your credit card number. I did this and it was supposed to be less than $4.95/mo. Well once they have your information - LOOK OUT - they will rack up charges on it. Tried their customer service and can't get anywhere. STAY AWAY from them www.brainhost.com. I am filing a complaint with the state and trying to get the charges reversed on my card - WHICH THEY MAXED OUT.

    Oh dear ! Oh dear ! what a lot of greedy, lazy suckers we are aren't we ! Me included !!!  OK so I thought I would get a free website set up (by mycreativedesigns.com ) and then find out how to set up my own using theirs as a guide. OK - so yes I need a web host, why not BrainHost ? Off we go then ..... Had some problems with credit card payment - all resolved in my favour (very friendly and helpful Brainhost help desk guy actually called ME and SAVED me over $200 !) So all ok, yes ! Well not since then.. problems with the site (no ftp access and then no server access..) Help desk quick to reply but problem still continues. Google Chrome/Opera/Firefox/I.E. cannot connect to the server (but metaproxy can !) Google search finds the site but still can't connect... help desk still trying to help..... but no cigar so far !   So - is this just bad luck/glitch in the web... or is there a more sinister reason ( coming up to 30 days from original purchase date... delaying tactics perhaps ? )  Thanks to the former workers for the heads up.

    I had my website with Brainhost since November 16 and I have had no problem what so ever. They even phoned me to say welcome - and I live in Sweden! When I asked for ads they gave me links that goes to sites that presents ad to promote. I do not pay anything per month. I did pay about 200 dollar for different things I chosed and that is for one year, but only some of it is a must. I think they are very nice and helpful and answers very quickly on emails.

    Brainhost and "host" of others 'Strategic Coaching Solutions' and 'Effective design solutions' and many many other web hosting companies are very big Scammers. They have a dead Concious and are inhuman they spend their nights plotting  as what new Scheme they should use to rip of honest hard-working people. They use the internet to execute their ugly plans. But no problem hell is waiting on them and they will have to answer to God. Stay away from the Big Mouth Mark Christensen or Mark Christian. Anyone promises you a money-making Scheme on the internet, it is nothing but a very BIG LIE. Pray before you do anything. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and HE will direct you path. AMEN

    this is creosilda ponce and i'm trying to reach one of you at the support brain host site in order to cancel my account with you and maybe get a refund from you , you charged me the full price and it should have been $6.95 a month and not the $223.00 and change , that you charged me when i was signing up with you guys .
    . you people say one thing and do entirely the oppsite of what you say . are you that hard up for money . that's a shame for your business .

    hi there, i have made a contract with brain host with a marketing program of which name i cannot recall. however i have tried to cancel it, and still they charge me over R5700 south african rands.i did cancel the program. but somehow the connection remained active & clickbank wouldnt resolve this issue. my e-mail address is: debruin.ferdinand@gmail.com   any help would be much appreciated, thanks !!

    Brain Host's customer support is a joke.  Either they don't have any idea of what they are doing beyond a few rehearsed or stock answers or they try to paint you our as "the bad guy".  I lost a domain name because of their screw-ups.  When I phoned them directly, all I got was "the run-around" - each time being promised that a "manager" would call me to discuss the problem.  Well, I'm still waiting to make contact with a "manager".

    It would have been so easy for them to admit their mistake, recapture and register the domain name and reestablish my wesite and all would have been forgiven.  At least, they would have demonstrated a willingness to stand behind their service.  Instead, they chose to antagonize a client and probably loose an account - never mind the loss of a ton of good will.

    Needless to say, I will never endorse Brain Host or their services (this is not the first issue I have had with them).  If I was looking for a hosting company, I would stay as far away from them as possible.  Buyer Be Ware!!

    We need to take them to the FTC and put them out of business!! They took one of my best sites that made money and cancelled my name on the title and they are the owners!!
    They notified one of my email that I don't use and I told them that last year. Now this site is broken and they are put it up for bidding.
    How about a class action suit against them???

    I also was never able to get site to load. The new phone number to contact them is 1-800-311-9418 I called today and was able to cancle everything but forget about a refund,

    wow reading all these bad comments is freaking me out a little. i just sign up with them and didnt really had any problems with them..... well not yet, and if i do i email them and hey answer back quickly. if i have any problems i will just update my comment. but so far so good.

    I used the brainhost.com to set up a website cost me $285.60 which I aggreed but when I checked my credit card statement they charged $285.60 on the 3rd day atfer use their services but on the day I signed up with them they charged $885 from their US office..How?
    they use my credit card info just charged what ever they want. when I ask them about this and sent me the invoice they charged me..a
    ll they can provide was the invoice of $285.60. when I ask them about this $885 thats when they stop communicate with me…after that no more emails …..I am going through my VISA card refund service now the bank said it will take 2 months time but they not sure if they can get back even this website is a scam

    I just wrote a refund email to them as request by bank in order to get the money back… brainhost support team always came up some one name "jenny or allison…" always tell you that some one will assist you but it never will as I kept tring for week now…sick of this brainhost scam…will keep post this every complain website

    I am upset about the way that brain host took money out of my account 95.95 for service that I don't use or need I have not made any money from a website hosted by you or anybody else.  I do not need hosting from you I am cancelling any account and demand a full refund thank you.
