These guys are total scammers, they claim to host your site and in order to do that you give them your credit card number. I did this and it was supposed to be less than $4.95/mo. Well once they have your information - LOOK OUT - they will rack up charges on it. Tried their customer service and can't get anywhere. STAY AWAY from them www.brainhost.com. I am filing a complaint with the state and trying to get the charges reversed on my card - WHICH THEY MAXED OUT.

Why do BrainHost needs CVV code of credit card? Is that must?, Other Online transactions doesn't ask for CVV code. I was about to finalize the domain. when am prompted to enter the CVV code, I have stopped it!!

I signed up with BrainHost on Friday all looked good I had my website which I could pull up through any browser it was created for me by something called creative designs.  I was able to access the launch pad and edit my page create email addresses for my site etc.  Problems came on November 6th I can acces the Launch pad at Brainhost but evrytime I try to pull up my website online there is an error message.  I can edit it but when I try to ad my adsesne coding for my ppc ads I get an error.  I am hoping that they are just having server issues and all will be well tomorrow.  I have spoken to the CSRs at BrainHost threetimes today and have had no trouble reaching someone.  They say they are working on my problem and hopefully it will all be fixed soon.  All the mails I received had great information and tutorials to use.  If this doesn't work I will find a different hosting site because the way I look at it the more I wait the more money I lose. my website is www.karaokecrazyinfo.com  let me know if you can see it please??

Sign up with brainhost on the 11/15,thought I was signing up for 6months service, got to confirm page, the charges were for 2yrs! Didn't hit the confirm page! Try to go back, real most companies will allow you to go back and not charge you if you don't click on the confirm page, not this ripoff
company! My total charge should have been $67.plus,it was $215.plus.Call them no one pick up,try their chathost no one show's up.Call them again, message saying everyone busy etc. Will call them again today. Will see what happens. Then I will call my bank.

    Just another sucker
Crazy. I called to cancel the acct today. Let's see if I get this "refund". And this website http://autoxten.com/romero88 that was posted in a comment, seems like a total scam as well... I tell ya! There is no truth in any ONE of these programs. I just wanted to work from home like everyone else and so far all I have heard is bullsh*t and lies. No one cares that I'm a disabled vet or that I have NO money to sacrifice without seeing a profit within the next few weeks. The kicker is days before I have to call and cancel with a refund, a Coach FINALLY contacts me! WTH! Where were they the whole f*cking month when I needed help?! Then they wanna CONTRACT for 12 mos? Really?! Sponsors aren't any better! They don't care as long as they have your money comin in! If I were to EVER find a legit one out there, rest assured, I wouldn't be doin to them what they do to me. Seein as I might give up on these supposed "successes" I probably will never find one.

See my post on 11/16/11,I did call Brainhost, talk to MaryJo,she took care of it,refund my money,$135.00,not rightaway bu within the 3-5 day timeframe she said. Flopsy,I couldnot sign in either,I went to support and sent in a trouble ticket, they got back in touch with me in 24hrs. What they should do is fix the problem they have with there softwear, because most of the complains I read about this company is overcharging. To anothersucker, this is what you do,got to Clickbank, look at all the different affiliate's programs them have pick one that you like, most of the affiliate's program's have little or no cost. I didnot work for Brainhost. Still not sold on them as a company for the long term.I will see how it goes for the next 6months.
Take care and good luck everyone. To anothersucker,Thank you for servicing,
Iam not mocking you. Take care.

Well, so far, i had a fantastic support from the BrainHost. I was trying to register my domain from yesterday, than it was meant to be done manually, which i received apology mail for.And the special offer. It was Thanksgiving holidays in States today, when i tried to call with Skype (it is reachable).
So i've sent a ticket mail, to ask to activate my domain manually, with my order reference number, and i've got mail almost immediatly for activation of my domain and all the supporting details, and again the apology, which shows me, that they are very effective. I will see, what will go on later.
But as somebody said, you can always move on to another provider, it's a win-win thing, plus they offer a site builder tools, which is an advantage. And i don't think it's overpriced, it' fair deal. Good Luck!

I agree I have a hostgator account and I was hoping to use it for the free website that the product claimed offer. I should have went with my first instincts when they only promoted Brainhost as the host. luckly I only signed on a monthly basis before seeing the hidden charges. Once I saw these charges I knew not to go any further. I wish you the best of luck in getting the situation resolved and hope you get the success online that I know you are seeking.

I should have known better when I listened to a pitch that when all said and done give only one host option. I have hostgator and I was expecting to use them for the free website. I tried to contact the support but then figured i would give brainhost a chance. I was very skeptical but since I saw that I could get a refund I figure what the heck. I knew something was kind of fishy when I heard the commentator suggest a 2 to 4 year hosting package because the search engines like google, bing and other would rank you better if you have a longer package which I knew was bull@### because your package doesn't have anything to with your ranking. If you paid on a monthly basis for two years what does in matter to the search engines? nothing. Once I saw the $20.00 setup fee and the $14.95 domain name transfer fee for a domain name that I just paid $7.95 at Godaddy I felt that I was being taken because I didn't get a chance to review my final charges prior to completing the order. I requested a live Chat and asked about these unauthorized fees and was told that it was part of the setup cost. I said that I will be requesting a refund and at the moment the chat ended without any explanation. I went to find out about the refund. i read the 30 refund policy and it set that the set up and transfer fee were not refundable. I wasn't surprised to read that after everything was said and done. It didn't even want to check out the website that was supposed to come with this package because I was afraid that I was be very disappointed since I already saw how that make their real money which is on these non refundable setup fees. I thought that I was paying $9.95 and it turned into $44.95. I requested a refund and I will only get the $9.95 back and supposedly I am going to out $34.00 we will see about that.

The problem I have is that your hidden setup and transfer fees which are 250% above the $9.95 a month I was expecting to be charged are non refundable. A 30 day money back guarantee is a guarantee on what you pay. I didn't have the service 10 minutes before I request a refund and I am supposed to eat $34.00 that I never saw coming. When I request a live chat to get it resolved the chat ends abruptly with out explanation after I mention refund. That is a turn off for me.

If you want to make good money without a lot of investing, join fiverr.com. I joined them as a last resort to finally start making some money online. I have been with them for 4 months now, and have made $100.00 per month so far. The real key to being successful on fiverr is browsing the site, seeing what is popular and makes great sales, then using the same idea, and adding your own custom twist to it.

As far as Brain Host, I am not impressed. I got a 'free site' that was offered through a third party. The site was great, and all I paid was 1 yr. hosting in advance, which wasn't bad. However, my website has had a lot of down time, due to their servers being down or something, I am working on transferring it to Host Gator now, where I have all my other sites hosted, with no problems at all.
