I purchase A 2004 jaguar x-type with 65K back in September 3,2009 with a 60 day warranty.Oct 15,2009 I purchased a warranty with, Direct buy warranty. My transmission failed due to mechanical issues,I submitted receipts showing the first month I spent 3,000 just to get it the way I wanted.After the transmission was fixed,they refuse to pay,cause they ran a carfax on my vechicle and claim it was involved in two accident before I purchase the car.So they reimburst my money cause if anything else happens they will not cover it.I had ask them when I first Purchase the warranty Do I need to get te car check in one of their listed repair shops,they said it was not necessary.So I ended up paying for the repairs.

    I contactred the state of New Jersey FBI and they took my claim.  ANYONE who has an issue w/ Direct Buy Warranty NEEDS to do the same.  The more people that do this the more chance there is of doing some sort of justice. CONTACT THE FBI IN NEW JERSEY!!!!

    I had teh same problem. I just got an email from them stating the same.  I never requested to cancel my policy and they cancelled when I made a claim and sent me an email stating that I requested this.  I suggest that we start a class action law suit against them.    I am going to engage a legal counsel tomorrow.

      Please contact me if you are successful in starting a class action suit. I requested a refund and they stated that the bank issuing the credit card had to request it. My bank said it was wrong.

    I am looking into starting a claim.  Everyone needs to file claims with the New Jersey BBB, and the New Jersey FBI.  Nothing can be done until there are numerous complaints. File a complaint online w/ NJ BBB, and call NJ FBI. I DID!

    has anyone else been receiving calls from DBW either posing as themselves or someone else?  They have started calling me using a blocked number and pretending to be from a news station.

    If there is a valid Direct Buy Auto Warranty (DBAW) in the United States, the DBAW of New Jersey is costing them business.  I fell sorry for the DBAW personnel that works in another DBAW location (other than NJ).  I am in the process of obtaining an Attorney of Law, to go after DBAW of NJ.  Should anyone have any information that would help my claim (Scam Operation) please contact me, my phone number is 623/334-9597, my E-Mail Address is RHHIron@aol.com and mt FAX number is 623/486-1872.  I want to hurt DBAW of NJ as bad as they have hurt customers like myself and anyone else that has had a problem with the DBAW of NJ.

      I am going to have a good friend pay a visit to the Direct Buy Auto Warranty facility in New Jersey.  One of the things he is going to do is meet with Mr. Watson (if there is a person with that name) and Mary Wheeler.  We are laying the groundwork to file a report with the BBB of New Jersey and the Scam Operations; our purpose is to prove that DBAW of NJ is a scam operation.  If we can prevent just one person from purchasing a policy from DBAW of NJ, we will have accomplished one of our goals.  Any information from anyone who has purchased a policy and had a problem with DBAW of NJ, please send to me RHHIron@aol.com or my FAX number is 623/486-8678.  My Lawyer is going to make a case in-order to take DBAW of NJ to court.  I am not going to let up on my ability to get the word out about this scam operation.

      If this person can get a refund why can't I?  I can not get anyone from Direct Buy to return my calls, E-Mails, FAXes and/or letters.  Direct Buy has never put out a penney for me and they have charged me $619.33 for nothing.  Please respond.

      On Friday June 4, 2010, I filed a claim with Direct Buy Warranty because my AC was not blowing cold.  I made attempts to correct the problem the day before I contacted Direct Buy with no luck. Up until this time the AC was blowing cool, but when the temperature rose to mid 90s, I noticed the cold no longer working.  I called direct buy to inform that I was taking the vehicle to the dealership to address the problem.  Four days passed and neither I nor the dealership had heard from direct buy.  On Tuesday, June 8, 2010 I spoke with Brian Wilson of direct buy who informed that direct buy would not cover the repairs due to it being a preexisting issue prior to the warranty effective date.  It was further stated that direct buy does not cover known or unknown preexisting issues with a covered vehicle. I am disputing this matter because this problems with my AC are not pre-existing.  This vehicle was in good working order and aside from a recent tune-up there have been no problems.  I have spoken with the dealer whom I purchased my Jaguar from and he is providing written confirmation that there were no issues with the AC.  Any pre-existing issues that I had prior to my policy effective date were paid for at my expense. And you are correct, they are the rudest most unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with.  I used to be covered by US Fidelis when I had my previous Jag(totalled Nov 2009) and they were great!  I think I'll go back to them.

      I have had nothing but great service from direct buy warranty. i recently filed a claim for my e500 that was no starting and had my alternator replaced. i would recommend this service to all friends and family.
