I purchase A 2004 jaguar x-type with 65K back in September 3,2009 with a 60 day warranty.Oct 15,2009 I purchased a warranty with, Direct buy warranty. My transmission failed due to mechanical issues,I submitted receipts showing the first month I spent 3,000 just to get it the way I wanted. After the transmission was fixed, they refuse to pay, cause they ran a carfax on my vechicle and claim it was involved in two accident before I purchase the car.So they reimburst my money cause if anything else happens they will not cover it.I had ask them when I first Purchase the warranty Do I need to get te car check in one of their listed repair shops, they said it was not necessary. So I ended up paying for the repairs.

LOL!!!  Looks like one of the staff from Direct Buy Warranty found this site, and just started making a ton of false posts in a row!  30 positive posts, IN A ROW, in a span of FIFTEEN MINUTES, after FIFTEEN ***PAGES*** of negative posts.  Can anyone else smell the BS???

Anonymous, You sound like your from a warranty company. If you actually checked this company out, you would see the same reviews + more right on their website from actual customers. So in one way your probably right the company took reviews from their website and put on here on the other hand to say "can anyone else smell the bs" if a false statement.

No Jake, it sounds like YOU'RE with DBW.  I - believe it or not - am a DBW customer.  And so I'm speaking out of first-hand experience.

Oh and FYI, NO ONE believes testimonials on a website.  REAL testimonials and feedback is found on independent, third-party websites like THIS one, and the trail you guys leave is HORRIBLE.

Always buy the warranty from the dealer, DBW ripped me off and did not pay any of my 6 different claims, they always had an excuse to get out of it.
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE DWB reps. they are cons.
carfax or nocarfax, they have millions of excuses i.e. recalls..normal wear and tear.....etc.
I can provide my policy # if needed to challenge my argument.
Again, if you really need a warranty, buy it from the dealer.

    Buyer Beware/ SCAM
I purchased the Platinum elite warranty wich I was told was the best one offered by my salesman. Salesman stated that it covers EVERYTHING except waerable items. He stated that you bring your car to an authorized dealer and they will cover all parts and labor from electrical, from the stereo to navigation, engine , transmission etc... . The first time I tried to use my Elite warranty was for the window not working and the navigation system was not working. I brought my car to the dealer and was told by Direct Buy that they were not covering ANYTHING. I was told that these were pre-existing conditions and not covered. even though this was 3 months after I purchased my Elite warranty. It is now another 4 months later and my air conditioner does not work. They are now telling me that the air is not covered. The dealer wants 3 hours @ $125.00 an hour to diagnose the problem and Direct Buy says they don't cover diagnoeses. So that means that you, the consumer has to pay for the mechanic to tell them what is wrong so that they can tell you that it's not covered and now you are stuck with the bill. This company is a SCAM! Stay far away I wish I had done some more research my self but the saleman was very insistant that it's the best warranty and you have nothing to worry about. .

Direct Buy is complete garbage.  Purchased their top end product for a 2006 Porsche Cayenne S.  First claim was on a simple tire rod.   Well they covered just over $161.00 of a nearly $400.00 bill.  Didn't cover the alignment (necessary after a tire rod replacement) only covered a portion of the labor, and diagnosis / inspection they don't cover at all.

I even called to ask one of their reps if an alignment was covered if needed as the result of a repair and they said "YES".....they never paid for it.

And get this, turns out the rack needed fixed as well.  It was causing a bad noise every time a bump was hit and according to a certified mechanic "needs to be replaced".   Guess what...not covered.  According to their agent they only cover parts that have completely failed and as long as the car is driveable they won't cover it.  Here I thought I was being responsible and taking care of an issue before it escalated but no, flat out denied.

ON TOP OF THAT they told me that since I'm now aware of the problem they won't cover it when it does completely fail!  What kind of BS is that?  Am I supposed to play ignorant?  I can just see this hypothetical scenario happening:

Me:  "Yea my motor blew.  I have all maintenance records, service, etc., all up to date and the car was pampered.  Even sung a song to it every night so it felt like part of the family."
DB:  "Are you aware the motor blew?"
Me:  "Um yea, it exploded into a million pieces on the highway just driving normal and I have shrapnel wounds to prove it."
DB:  "Well we don't cover issues you're aware of so claim denied."
    Me:  "Da Fuq?"

Seriously to anyone considering a Direct Buy warranty under no circumstances purchase one.  Even on high end, documented, religiously serviced luxury car they will not cover you!

I was able to cancel and get most of my money back, but they still made a couple hundred off me.  To any Direct Buy goons out there, don't belive it?  VSC#958XXX and look up the car model.

Legitimate customer, legitimate claim, legitimately pissed off.

Boy I almost fell for this scam, but found this site and others with very negative experiences.  Should have known by the hard sell and too good to be true pricing.
Luckily I canceled my credit card before a charge ws procesed, so I don't even have to deal with these jokers.
I wish you all luck with the class action.  Go get em!

Good thing i checked before buying a warranty from them. I called a few companies to get pricing on policies. I got a clue they were just a marketing company when i got several different sales reps all claiming they were authorized supervisors tocenact my policy and hear the dialer room in the backround, as well as numerous emails to act now befire this 30%was off special expires in 24 hrs yet they keep piling up. Stay away from them and do your research before buying any policies...

They suck. They don't cover to find out what is wrong and when they actually cover something they lowball the part price stating "you can find the part at this price somewhere in your area but won't identify where!!! Nor if it is a price for a new or reconditioned part!!!  DO NOT GET SUCKERED in to buying this warranty. The price is worth the headaches. I am currently trying to get them to cover some repairs right now------ am waiting for them to send out an independent inspector to verify what the dealership has claimed as damages which is fine but my vehicle has now been in the shop for going on 48 hrs and now resolution---- I have 3 kids and need my vehicle back ASAP but they don't care. And are "unable" to tell me when the inspector will arrive at the dealership and then still have to wait for them to approve the repairs (at a lowball pricing!!! HEADACHE !!!!!!!!!!
