I purchase A 2004 jaguar x-type with 65K back in September 3,2009 with a 60 day warranty.Oct 15,2009 I purchased a warranty with, Direct buy warranty. My transmission failed due to mechanical issues,I submitted receipts showing the first month I spent 3,000 just to get it the way I wanted. After the transmission was fixed, they refuse to pay, cause they ran a carfax on my vechicle and claim it was involved in two accident before I purchase the car.So they reimburst my money cause if anything else happens they will not cover it.I had ask them when I first Purchase the warranty Do I need to get te car check in one of their listed repair shops, they said it was not necessary. So I ended up paying for the repairs.

STAY AWAY from this extended warranty co!!!!!!
We purchased a Platinum Elite policy in July 2013 for our 2004 Honda CRV. Last week the air conditioner compressor seized. We took the car to a good, reputable shop and they diagnosed the problem. We then waited from Thursday to the following Monday for an inspector to show up at the shop to verify the diagnosis. The air conditioning system is obviously a covered item in our policy. He agreed with the shop, we submitted the claim and it was denied. Said it was normal "wear and tear". The car is an older vehicle - the very reason we purchased the policy. They offered to pay $465 of the $1,360 bill as a "courtesy gesture". Everyone I talked to at DBW was polite and friendly. I could have protested in writing to corporate headquarters but decided to cancel our policy. I have no confidence in them. What else could fail that could be attributed to normal wear and tear? And of course, per the contract, you don't really get your money back. They prorate the coverage you've had, charge you $250 plus a $25 administrative fee - in our case this totaled over $400.
I do not recommend this company.
As for those of you that provided us the laughs nd giggles, trying to tell us how wonderful this company was, I personally want to say thank you for the humor you provided here. HOWEVER, as for me, when restitution comes, I'm gonna laugh all the way to the bank!
P.T. Barnum said “There is a sucker born every minute.” 150 years later Guardian Warranty and Simmons-Rockwell are proving him right.
I bought a used car from Simmons-Rockwell and they sold me a Guardian Warranty deal for $1699.
My air conditioning quit working and they said Sorry, AC metal tubing is not covered. My $1699 didn't do me any good. Apparently which parts are covered is a crap shoot. I never did get a contract, but I assume GWC got their share of my $1699.
Simmons-Rockwell also sold me "electronic corrosion protection" for $799 and there is a small box with red lights in the engine compartment that does the trick. I later found out this is pure snake oil and completely worthless. A friend who owns a body shop said to leave the red lights connected to remind me how dumb I am and they might increase my gas mileage by 25 per cent and my [***] size by 10 per cent. Again no contract.
These so-called "protection agreements" are easy sucker money for GWC and S-R. And they are playing you for a fool.
Stay away from Guardian Warranty Corporation of Avoca-Wilkes-Barre, PA and Simmons-Rockwell of Big Flats, New York.
Stay away from these guys.
