Scam - Report it to the FTC
Complaint

I receive a call from “account services”/”card member services”/”card holder services” EVERY DAY around noon. They refuse to remove my number, despite many requests. They often are very rude & give bogus information when I try to get more company info. The only thing I know to do is file a complaint with the FTC & I suggest all you do the same, hopefully with enough complaints they will shut this horrible company down. It is a quick & easy form. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx please note that your phone number must be on the Do Not Call registry before your complaint is applicable – so if you have not registered your phone number on the National Do Not Call list, please do so : https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx?panel=3

If they charged your card, your card company can get the contact information you need for them. they have to be a registered company with a company phone number and address in order conduct business. especially if they are using a pos machine to charge the cards. Maybe you can get ahold of your card company and they can pull the company information from who charged your card and we can all show up to their front door!
I will contact the do not call folks right now!
I now have a new approach. Today they called and I kept them on the line for 15 minutes. I finally asked the lady if she knew what a waste of time was. She said yes. I replied "well I just wasted 15 minutes of your time." and hung up.
The call went something like this. How much do you have in credit card debt. I told her $85,000 across 13 cards. She wanted to know if I had the credit cards in front of me and I said that I have just one card. Every time she asked me a question, I would ask her one back. I finally told her that I had one card with $50,000.00 on it and I wanted to consolidate to get a lower rate. She asked for the number and I said you expect me to give you a number without even knowing who you are.
I asked where she was from and after asking three or four times, she finally told me Orlando, Florida. I then asked her if this was being sponsored by the government? She had said something earlier in the conversation that made me ask this question. I never really got the name of the agency.
She asked me again if I wanted to lower my rates and I said yes but I need more information before I give any personal information out. She asked if I would like to speak to a supervisor and I said yes. Went through the same questions all over again with some additional ones. Are any of the cards held with Bank of America. I said yes eight of them including the one with a $50,000.00 balance. Are these cards in good standing meaning have not exceeded their credit limits. I said they are the other cards at Chase. She said whats the card number for the card that's in best standing.
This was about 14 minutes into the call and I had to get off the call for a work related call so I asked her the question mentioned above.
I have started to block their phone numbers, and I had a week of no calls. Now they are calling on different numbers. I will play the same game and try to keep them on longer and then I will block that number too!
I have written my my states Attorney General and Senator as well as the FTC. No one has responded.
The message I read about letting them charge your account and then following the money seems to be the only logical option. However, this should be done by the investigating authority. Why hasn't it been done already? It appears everyone with a phone gets these calls whether you have a card or not. The only requirement is a phone. It has nothing to do with any card company because we have several land and cel #'s and they all get the calls, we only use one of them for personal information.
I'm sure even the attorney's general of every state, congressmen, etc. all are annoyed with these calls. Someone needs to act.
1. The real company behind this is First USA which appears to be a bank using this mailing address:
First USA
Cardmember Services
P.O. Box 15298
Wilmington, DE 19850-5298
2. First USA is using a third party called Cardmember Services to run the website and telephone call processes. The website is:
www.cardmemberservices.com
3. You can use the donotcall.gov website to file a complaint. This does not appear to be used by law enforcement since complaints have existed for this company for quite some time.
4. The best method for filing a complaint is to the Federal Communications Commission which has the governmental responsibility for enforcing the laws about telemarketing calls like this one. The website for filing a FCC complaint is:
www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html
They are just scammers looking to sucker people into giving them their credit card information, and the *enjoy* being rude and annoying to anyone who isn't falling for it.
