I received call on my cell phone so full of static I could not understand caller with his heavy accent. Hung up. He called nine more times within three minutes. He left a threatening message on his tenth. He calls from unavailable or 1-028-551-013. The number he left for me to return his call is 858-777-1977.Two hours later he was going to start up again. I called him what he was, told him my detective husband would call him at 5pm. He hung up. His last call to me was at 2:50pm. I called him back at 3:20pm to ask for his address. He didn't know. He only knew he is a law firm in California. When I said I needed his exact location for the police, he put me on hold. It's now 10pm and he still hasn't called me back.

    I am so glad I found this wed site.  A few weeks ago I get a call on my cell from some weird number, (didn't answer) and this Indian guy with a really strong accent left me a message about my SS number and some kind of law suite against it and call back asap.  He gave me a phone number to call.  I never called.  All the sudden the guy starts calling me all the time.  My cell never stops ringing. My husband and I look up the area code in the phone book for the number he left in his message and it's from NY.  He called this morning 9 times in a row....I finally answer it and tell them the person they are looking for isn't avaiable and asked them what law firm he worked for and where the law firm was located.  He tells me ACS and they are located in CA.  I looked up ACS law firm and this wed-site came up and this being a scam.  If the guy calls backa I'm going to ask for the website and address for the " law-firm".  I also called verizon wireless and had the number blocked from my phone.  DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!!

    My cousin calls me, and says a James Smith from ACS (with an accent)left her a voice mail stating that I listed her as a contact for a Loan. He then proceeded to tell her that she would be responsible for the loan if it was not paid.  I know for a fact that I never took out a loan, I immediately looked up the phone number & whaddyaknow?  Several posts of the same type of scam.  What Law Firm calls and provides no proof or info?  

    It's a scam to scare people!  Next time you hear from them, let them know you are aware of their scam & have notified your bank, the authorities & the BB!

    Calling threating me about payday loan which I never got

    the numbers are 7078324632 and 9097445418 that keep calling me. I  called number 9097445418  they hung up the phone and cuss me and told me not to called again. they called  again but the same people called me from a different number 7078324632

    A man with a thick accent has also been calling my home.  He left a message Monday saying I was being sued for a payday loan and I should call him the second I got his message.  He also said if I didn't respond, he would call my employer and family.  Well, he called again last night and unfortunately for him, my husband answered the phone.  He started his crap again and basically my husband chewed him up and spit him out.  My husband also told him there was no way he was going to speak to me.  The man called back several times and hung up each time my husband answered.  The phone number he left was 347-625-3719.  The message was so full of static and his accent so heavy, the number would be 347-624-3719.

    this has happened to me, heacy indian accent guy, called back 10 times in 2 minutes at home, after first calling me at work. i told him not to call me anymore, he said ok, ill call you at work, cvs, and he knew my bosses name, and my fiance's name. i know its a scam, but can he do anything with this information he has on me? i placed a fraud alert on all 3 credit bureaus and told my bank to be on the lookout, hopefully its enough.

    I have received messages from these crazy pepople and finally i changed my #. they call at work and they told my HR person that they would have him arrested..i called them back, a MARK WILLIAMS CALLED AND ALSO MAX WILSON.a #you can call that was give to me is Doug Zoloto US SECRET SERVICE AND REPORT THESE PEOPLE. it did scare me at first i mean really scared me, i called him and it is a scam don't let these people bully you or anything else. Just hang up on them. hope this helps someone. 1 number is 4092123206 an another is a 509 number..

    i have them calling my work only!! every other day, a few times a man named brad johnson and now angela jackson called me. when i called back another man was put on the phone tried to get me to verify my ss# when i wouldnt he got mad and said well i hope the courts are nice to you!! now i am going to call this angela chick back. will let you know how it goes.

    I have been dealing with this for about 6 months now.  They change they names and numbers, but it is always the same thing.  That I took out a loan (which I did not) and threatens me with criminal charges.  They have called my work, home, and friends that I have used as references.  I do have an attorney, he said to give them his number.  By law they have to talk to my attorney, but everytime I tell them that they hang up.  My attorney said that it is a scam and they never do call him.  I also have asked these people for documents that I did take out the loan and the contact number to the place that they said I took out the loan and they won't.  I looked up the law in California and by law they have to provide it.  This is one big scam that they will not give up. So don't give them any money no matter what they say. If they will not give you documents of the loan or any information will not call your attorney it a scam!!

    I got a payday loan in June of this year; I fell into a financial hardship and was not able to pay it off, leaving a balance of 600.00 on my account. I called the payday loan company, Cash Net USA, and made payment arrangements. Then I got a call at work from an unavailable # 000-000-0000, a man with a strong Indian accent answered and asked to speak with “Apple” my name is April. I asked who was calling and he wouldn’t tell me so I hung up. I got two more phone calls within 5 minutes so I blocked the number. Then he left a message he stated his name was Officer Zack Wilson from the legal department of ACS and that my account was being forwarded to the courts and that there was a law suit against my social security #! I immediately called the number he gave back (646-918-5986) because he had my address, telephone #, date of birth and social security #. I spoke with I think her name was Michelle, she stated she was the supervisor for Zack and that Cash Net USA forwarded my account to her because I didn’t pay my balance, I tried to explain that I already made payment arrangements with the other company but she wouldn’t listen to me. She was very rude and said I’m just trying to do my job, if you don’t want to pay the balance with us you can go to court on Monday, and fight this case. I didn’t have any court notices and I told her this, she stated that was not her problem if I wanted to settle the balance with her I could make a payment of 300.00 and the account would be closed, I told her again that I already made a payment, then she said well you will just have to fight this is court. I called Cash Net after I spoke with her to get my receipt of my payment plan because I thought this was real. The woman from the payday loan said asked if the person I spoke with had a thick accent I said yes and she confirmed that this was a scam, she told me not to give them a dime and forwarded me to a compliance line, and I left a message and hopefully will get a call back. It just scares me because they have all my information, should I go to the police???

    My payday loan company filed a report with the better business bureau, I also file a report with the FTC, all three credit bureau, my bank and (homeland security -989-497-0580) and made all aware I was a victim of identity theft. The officer at homeland security was aware of this scam and told me the next time they call explain to them I was aware they were a fraud company and that I have forwarded their information to homeland security. He assured if I tell them this the calls will stop. He stated this company was out of India, and they have hacked into PayDay Loan companies to gather their information.  They have so far but I will keep posted.

    her she know i have a order protection and she threaten me and my family she will call the cops against me and lock me up i been threaten so much.

    I received a call from acs in colorado wanting all of my information.  They even called my mother and wanted her to give them information on me.  When she asked what this was regarding he said that he could not give her any of the information.  I called them and they said I owed money but would not tell me what for and would not send me any information.  The gentlemen who called his name is Mike Walters. He said if I did not pay this immediately I was going to go to jail.  1-303-578-5551.  This is the number they called us from.

    I received a call yesterday after finally answering it since I never recognized the number and it was someone with a heavy accent as well. He knew my social ,place of employment, everything and said I owe on a loan from 6 months ago which was not true. I did take out a loan with someone else but it was already paid off and it was not through this company. They left threatening voice messages and I am sure they have called my work number .When I asked him when I supposedly took out this loan the date he couldn't answer he got mad when I asked him more questions told me I would go to jail for fraud etc. My question is what do I do about this and who do I report it to. What are they doing with my information?

    They just tried that with me...they even called me a Mexican when I asked if I could speak to someone that could speak better English... he hung up on me when I told him for his name and numbers so I can take him to court..the said we lived in Montana when we live in New Mexico...

    I got a phone call from this law firm, it showed up as 0000000000, and of course I did NOT answer it. I have been recieving calls from this same number for over TWO months now. Yesterday, I finally had a message left on my cell phone, and it consisted of a very heavily accented voice, telling me his name was Frances Alexander. He provided me with the following number to return his phone call :347-625-3719, and told me that there was a lawsuit that was going to be filed against me come the end of business yesterday. When I called back, I could not understand the jerk I spoke to, and he proceeded to tell me that I had three criminal charges that were going to be filed against me, all of them for a payday loan that I had taken out. When I tried to get the information from him about said loan, he proceeded to read me a statement, which I couldn't understand. I tried interrupting him because I started to get angry, and he basically told me to shut up until he was done. When he was done, he proceeded to ask me if I had any questions...well, DUH. When I asked him when this supposed loan was taken out, he told me March of 2010. I asked him for the amount, he refused. They had the last four of my SS#, and the new the name of my bank. But other than that, refused to provide me with any other information. When I tried to tell him that I was disputing it, he told me that he would write it as a refusal to pay the amount owed. Pissed doesn't begin to cover it. I called my bank, who verified for me that there was nothing deposited from anywhere, other than my husband's check from the US military. I then called back, and asked to speak to someone who spoke English. I was told that I could not, and then I was told basically to &*#$(@*  off. After receiving such a wonderful ending, I decided to look up the number that had been left, saved my message, contacted my ATG office, and put a security lock on my name and social for the three credit bureaus. There will be an investigation into this, and hopefully, something can be done. It is good to know that I am not alone, and I am thankful to have had the smarts not to give in, even after they became belligerent and rude with me...thank you for sharing your stories.

    I gotta a call today as well the calls have been going on for  about a week, stating I owe 300 dollars form last year 2009 in November. his name was Denise Peterson and he is from a law firm ACS law firm on behave of cashnet and that Cash net wants their money back. He would not give me a fax number, he said that i will see him in court. the number from where the calling are  from is  646-918-5986. Do not believe them. its a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
