I received call on my cell phone so full of static I could not understand caller with his heavy accent. Hung up. He called nine more times within three minutes. He left a threatening message on his tenth. He calls from unavailable or 1-028-551-013. The number he left for me to return his call is 858-777-1977.Two hours later he was going to start up again. I called him what he was, told him my detective husband would call him at 5pm. He hung up. His last call to me was at 2:50pm. I called him back at 3:20pm to ask for his address. He didn't know. He only knew he is a law firm in California. When I said I needed his exact location for the police, he put me on hold. It's now 10pm and he still hasn't called me back.

    These low life scam artists have been calling me for a year now on and off. I can't take this anymore. They called my job today 4 times. This is starting to affect my everyday life. They also called my cell phone after I hung up on them 3 times, the 4th time I got loud and everyone at my job was wondering what was going on. My co-workers answer the phone also and are worried. Is there something that I can do? I want this to stop now.

    How to deal with these scammers...
    Just go on Craigslist.com in one of the more active boards and sell something very nice or very cheap and put the numbers the scammers are calling from in the ad... Be sure to put "ask for Gaandu or Chootia" in the ad... (means "[***] and [***] in Hindi!) and keep them busy for WEEKS! Also list appropriate ads in the jobs and gigs categories too! Enjoy!

    I have these guys who say there from some law firm calling like 40+ times a day they never leave any voice mails or call from a real phone number...now there calling my job telling my employer that I have committed a crime and they were goin to arrest me if I didnt give them my debit information these people are crazy...and need to be shut down

    I also received a call from these jokers. The first time he left a message on my phone saying that if I did not call them back he said "I wish you luck my friend and I will see you in courthouse". I immediatley called back because I did not know what it was regarding. I asked to speak to a Paul Smith(name he left), but I was put through to a Douglas Brown, very heavy foreign accent. He stated that this was an unpaid payday loan and that I was being sued. He could not give any information about what company I took the loan out with and the amount due was astronoical!! Every time I asked him a question about the company that hired him to come after me I was told it was in a sealed evidence file. He then proceeded to tell me that all the payday loan companies are owned by one big business operating under different names. I called the company that I had the loan with and she verified that my account was paid in full and gave me a ref # and she told me that this call I received was fraud. When I called "Mr. Brown" back he told me I was a liar, and that he would call me back after  he verified the info. the # he gave was 213-330-2340 and 760-495-4466

    The call I got was from 661-347-6367. The guy barely spoke english. He said I owed $5000 for an online loan, which I never borrowed any money. He said the police wou7ld be coming to my work next monday with court papers. I asked the name of the company and they wouldn't give it to me. I asked for my ss# and they wouldn't give it to me. I asked for my email address and they wouldn't give it to me. He just yelled at me. I finally just started laughing and hung up on him. Total Scam.

    I have been getting these calls for the last 2 weeks.  Justin Hammer/Brad Stevens told me that they needed to verify my social security # so they could confirm my cancellation of a magazine that I had subscribed to in the past!!!!  Obviously people in there country (Middle East) are either not that smart or they believe we Americans are stupid and will fall for that.  Well I told him I would not give him that information.  Since then he has called me over 75 times in a matter of 3 hours.  He has harrased the Admin Assist. at my job for the last 3 days by calling every few seconds for hours as well as calling my HR manager a liar.  They have used obscene and abusive language.  I have contacted the FTC, FCC, local police, public service commission as well as the phone companies, and have gotten no where.  I am unsure of how to proceed, but am on the brink of having a mental breakdown, and have even gone as far as telling the guy that if he wants my info he should come and get it.  Please if anyone knows who or how to stop these people please post....

    I just received a similar call from a John Smith his accent was so heavy he could not even pronounce the word law firm but yet he works for the so called ACS law firm one. Last year I received countless calls from I guess the same people they get nasty they curse. And accuse you of committing fraud and when you ask them for paper work regarding this lawsuit they tell you they can't send it to you. I no soon er got off the phone with him he called my daughter and told her that I had committed fraud. she hung up on him knowing it was not legit. I am so sick of them harrassing me on my job, But glad I found this site thank you all for the helpful  information.

    I just received a message from a Gary Christian who claimed I owed a debt for an internet loan. After reading the posts from everyone else I was prepared when he called back. He had my social security#, email, etc. When I asked who the complaintant was he transefered me to a supervisor named Sean Watson. Keep in mind they both had very heavy Indian accents. He told me it was through Cash Advance. I advised him that according to federal law I was requesting proof of the debt. He offered to mail or fax it me. I said no, according to federal law you are required to mail me proof of the debt and he hung up. The number they originally gave me to call back was 347-709-1611. About a year ago I had my identity stolen so it looks like my info is out there. Get information on fair debt practices and laws that protoct consumers and then ask them to follow the law. If they are legitimate, they have to do it.

    I received the same call from them on today and they have been calling my phone on and off for about a year now. I have blocked their telephone number but because it changes frequently it is hard to keep up and this alone is frustrating. Usually I give them a piece of my mind and they usually hang up in my face but I think I will try another method and harass them by continuing to call over and over again. The number they called me from today was out of Houston, TX (281-763-0470). I pray no one falls for this scam and I hope this number helps.

    I have recieved phone calls from ACS Litigation Legal Firm claiming I have been writing faudelant checks....funny thing is I have never even had a checking account. They claim in their message on my answering machine that they will be delivering court documents to my house and if Im not at my house they will come to my place of business. At the end of the message they say "Trisha Johnson you have been notified" hahahaaa!!! Notified about what?? These people are scammers. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!!!!!!
    Do not tell them your address, and especially NOT your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!
    Ask them to verify the birthdate of the person they are calling about. They had my phone number and name that was it.
    They allll asked for my S.S., birthdate, to verify my address etc. I told them if they have my info they can tell me the address they have and I will confirm it to be correct or not. They would not tell me the address.
    Lets report this to the Attorney General and have these losers shut down!!!!

    I am a victim also. Suppose michael clark and stacy of acs law firm threatend me. i never had a loan. they also have my info ss number dob address. They are indians. They have many numbers and use restricted. 1510-214-8903 was the number used to threaten me. They say they going to have me me aressted and they going to sue me. They dont give any info. They hung up on me. I put fraud alerts with credit bureau and my credit cards. Now i have fraud protected. I also contacted the ny fbi and gave them the numbers they called from and their so called names. I am worried about my identity and credit. Hope they catch these Indian Swammi scammers. I worry even though i know its a scam. Hope the fbi can help. What else should i do.

    OMG I keep getting these calls to. I tell them I am recording them for the police and they get really mad.There names are Gary Black (his parents must be very american)lmao 052497347   416-971-2222  calls come from Ontario Canada New york florida. Dont fall for these con artists..Yesterday he wanted the number of my criminal attorney I just laughed at him.

    Losing my mind!
    This is happening and they are changing their phone numbers as quick as lightening but keep using the same names. I too had call and it was from 350-507-8586 which was not a good number when I called back stating I owed and to pay or else and threatened and stated to call  214-446-5369 which is all over the internet this is a scam. when asked where he was callingfrom he said some where in texas. i pushed it harder and said where and he hung up. Original callf rom Andrew W(garbled and would not spell when repeatedly asked) who suddenly became the "second person" Jack Dawson. All from ACS Law Firm. Anyone know how to stop or make calls stop, please advise.

    I have been getting the same kinds of call, I never had a payday loan. This is harrasment. Does anyone know, who i can call or write for this to stop.

    I also received a call from someone from ACS and I got transferred to 3 different people in 3 states, Arizona, New York, and Indiana.  The person I spoke to claimed to be the boss.  I questioned him, his name was a Jeremy Whitlock, PO Box 13-48B, Chandler Arizona 85248, when I checked out the phone number over the free service on the internet, it came up no such number listed (877) 236-9877. These people have to be stopped. Can anyone trace this number and nab these people?
