I received call on my cell phone so full of static I could not understand caller with his heavy accent. Hung up. He called nine more times within three minutes. He left a threatening message on his tenth. He calls from unavailable or 1-028-551-013. The number he left for me to return his call is 858-777-1977.Two hours later he was going to start up again. I called him what he was, told him my detective husband would call him at 5pm. He hung up. His last call to me was at 2:50pm. I called him back at 3:20pm to ask for his address. He didn't know. He only knew he is a law firm in California. When I said I needed his exact location for the police, he put me on hold. It's now 10pm and he still hasn't called me back.

    These scum will not stop calling. I called back from my cell phone (bad idea) and kept getting the same person that I talked to yesterday so I hung up. I want to talk to someone else to see what other stories I get and obtain more info. Then they called me back and asked why I am calling and hanging up (twice). I asked her how it felt to be harassed...she said "it don't feel like nothin'". Can't even speak proper English. They are really at it this week, I see so many new posts on various sites with the same story. The court summons, fraud, police are going to arrest them. Luckily I don't work, so I don't have to deal with them calling me at work. Please make sure to document your experiences on either this forum or another forum. The FBI is investigating this scam (details on the FBI website). The more information we have, the more chance that these scumbags will be caught and prosecuted. And "ACS" if you are reading this, keep it up. This will eventually catch up to you.

    What you need to do is get an air horn and blow it into the phone when they start to talk...Do it every time they call...they will get the hint!!!!

    It seems they don't like to be harassed. Just call them back with off the wall questions and stories. When they call, pick up the phone and walk away. It worked for me, no more calls.

    i today got a call from someone from acs telling me the law would be at my door or place of employment at the end of day if i didnt settle this said i owed $350. payday internet loan and i could settle today for 400 dollars that i owed now $795. and would be alot more if i was served with papers, i gave them my credit card info, i thought it was legit because they knew my ss# and everything now what do i do, is it actually a fraud and did i loose my money i contacted att. generals office and am filing a complaint.

    ACS Law Firm in California. I received a call on my phone for my daughter from an Indian with a very heavy accent from the phone # (530) 884-2921.  He was very abusive.  He cursed me out and threatened me.  At first my daughter and I got very upset, because we had no idea what was happening.  She never took out a loan and here they are threatening that the sheriff would be coming to her home and arresting her that her passaport, license and SS card would be taken from her.  That she would be in jail until she could pay. (530)884-2921. It went from being one loan to three loans.  From the amount of $625.00 to $6,000 to $7,087.87.  The first time he called his name was James, then Michael and today it is Danny Dawn.  At first I tricked him into giving me the Co. who is suing me he said "Internet Credit Co. than my daughter took a loan with them via the internet. I asked him the date he said he couldn't provide me with the inf. just that it was in 2010 that's it.  I spoke to him nice as if I was ready to pay in order to obtain that little bit of inf.  He didn't realized that I went from being my daughters mother to telling him that I was her, he didn't care to listen.  I noticed that he was committing fraud himself, therefore I informed him that as a law student.  He got very upset and cursed me out and threatened me with everything.  He went from calling me a thief, fraud, garbadge, and some profanity.  I informed him that I would be informing the Attorney General and that I would do whatever I could to make sure that someone catches him. Then I hung up because he became extremely abusive.  I hoope he's caught and something is done about this because these people can frighten someone into a heart attack or worse.  I'm so furious on how they obtained my daughters personal information. May God help us all.  We all need to stick together and do something about this situation.

    They are now using email to threaten people.  I got an email threatening me with a lawsuit for monies I do not owe.  I have already been through this over the phone with their scam and they are still calling me and cussing at me when i tell them what frauds and scammers they are.  Beware of emails about ACS - another route for them to practice their fraudulent activities.

    I got a call at work for a Jack Wilson @ 510-214-8398 saying he was fro ACS Legal Office.  Very thick accent and the phone had a echo in it the whole time.

    I got a call from this number several times both on my cell phone and at work. Threatening me that if I didn't have my attorney call them that I would be in big trouble. On my day off they called 10 times in under 5 minutes. No messages. I finally answered and was a royal b!tch to them. The guy said his name was Stephen Brown. I called the number he gave me. It rang four times and hung up, I kept calling until I got a hold of someone. It took an hour and I wouldn't let up. Finally someone answered and I was trying to get information. I heard a kid crying in the back ground and other people on their phones calling up others. All of them using the name Stephen Brown. I asked to speak to the name the man told me "Karen Guerreo" and the receptionist (that's what he said he was) said that HE is in a meeting. I threatened him that if I got one more call from them that I'm notifying the police and suing them for harassment. So far I haven't heard back and it's been about 2 hours. I don't know if it will work, but we'll see. Next time, I'm going to tell them I'm notifying the FBI (it's nice having family in the government). Good luck everyone and give them hell!

    I received a call from the same people about two years ago.  The guy had a heavy accent and left a voicemail stating that if I did not call them back I would be in trouble.  I called back and besides the accent it sounded like he had something over his mouth while he was talking.  He had my social, address, employment (he knew that I had been fired from my job) and other info.  He told me that I had charges against me for a payday loan that I never paid back.  I did apply for a loan but NEVER received the funds, so I asked him how do I owe for a loan that I never received but he kept telling me that I did take out a loan but would not give me the name of the company I applied with.  He also told me that I would have to go to court and police would be involved.  I was started to believe him because he had all of my info, he also told me that I would never be able to get a car (already have one), house or I would not be able to get another job and I would never be approved for anything ever again.  I said okay so what do I need to do to get this taking care of (because I started believing him) he wanted my debit card number, so I told him to call me back on payday and I would give it to him. After the call I kept saying to myself how did they get my info (not knowing they got it from the internet). Then I kept thinking about it and I said I was not going to pay them [***] cause I never received the payday loan, but he never called back.  I am so happy I did not give him my debit card info.

    My dad received a call from these damn idiots today, so he called me all historical.  First of all the number was a private number and he said the company was Cash Net. Now he did take out a loan with the company but all of the email with the amount and due date comes to my email and we made the first payment yesterday.  But anyway they told my dad that they were an attorney's office and he was going to be sued for a payday loan for 269.00.  So I told my dad not to worry about it because I have the emails from the payday loan company that he received the loan from. The amount is not even the same he owes the loan company 235.00. My dad then calls me back and gives me a phone number with a 510 area code, so I called the company on three way and the guy (with a heavy accent answered the phone saying "How Can I Help You". My dad asked for the guy he had spoken with and the representative asked for my dad's name, so he gave the guy his name and the guy then asked for my dad's phone number THAT'S WHEN I CAME IN!!!!!!!!! I told him that I wanted the name of the company he was calling from before we give him anymore info because he just answered the phone how can I help you, he said ACS law firm. I told him you don't answer a business phone saying "How can I help you" (REALLY). He then tells my dad that he did not want to talk on a conference call and for my dad to call him back alone, so I hung up everybody.  I called the number back about 2 or 3 times and got no answer, so I then looked up ACS and this is what I found.  I told my dad about it and told him that if they call back to cuss them out and hang up. I wish they had my number so I can let them have it. [***]!!!!!!!!

    I am getting the same phone calls. I was not knowledgeable for why they keep calling with the threats. This time the company is out of Washington DC, so they say. I paid one of them back in Feb or March, and they sound exactly like the people who are calling em now. They are funny. I am going to my bank to close out every account I have. They have threatened me with arrests, notifying my employer, taking these matters to court. Thanks for this informative information site to know these people are fakes. I have contacted an attorney.

    SAME STUFF HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!! Total scam!! I am a cop so all of these things the man kept saying like I will have the court issue a warrant Monday morning if I don't get a 1,400.00 in a hour is total bs!! Don't trust those people!!!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!

    on 5/15/12 at 3:35 I received a phone call from 323-362-6015 stating that I was going to be arrested for Defrauding a cash advance company called Cash Advance America.  The fake attorney name was Baxter Cruz and he said he was with ACS Law Firm.  He spoke in a VERY heavy India accent.  he said I had 3 charges of defrauding the banking industry and I was going to be arrested.  I asked how I could avoid being arrested and he said I could go get a pre paid card and send them funds in the amount of 1400$.  I told him I didnt have that but might be able to do 200$.  he said that would keep me out of jail.  I told him I had to get dressed and I would place him on hold while I did and went and got the money becasue he said he would wait on hold while I did. I placed him on hold and researched on the internet for ACS Law firm.  All said SCAM.  So i contacted the FBI who gave me some sound info, then contacted my bank and employer.  I then told the person on the phone that I knew he was a scammer and he ADMITTED he was and told me to [***].  He was going to catch a flight and come and KILL me.  I told him he didnt know where i was and that he was perfectly welcome to come in from INDIA and do what he thought he had to.  He asked which city.  (Idiot, admit your in india why dont you) And told me I was going to get it.  I hung up on him.

    On May 17th, 2012, I reported these scammers to the FBI, the local police department, and to my lawyer, and to the FDCPA.... That's all you do and they will take care of it for you. You just give them all the info of these people that are harassing you or threatening you. Keep all the names and phone numbers and the messages they leave you and turn them over.... Have a great day....

    Recieved calls at home,work, threating voicemails wanting my attorney info. They called again today so talked to them in my own version of a Indian accent needless to say he was confused the whole time then I told him to go away and not call again

    I just got a call today sayiing that there is a law suit against me and my social security number.  The heavily accented (Indian sounding) gentleman (for want of a better word) would not give me any information and I refused to give him any of mine but he did tell me that if I wanted further information to call Attorney Dexter Cruz at 323-362-6015.  I do not have caller ID on the phone he called me on but I do have *69.  I used that and the call was from the same number.  Of course I do not have a law suit against me and I ran my credit just last week so I had a feeling this was a case of fraud.  Area code 323 is in the central Los Angeles area.

    These bottom feeders are the sickest scumbags out there just let them know you are on to them and they get obscene threatened to rape me told me he had something for me his six inch dick...nice and classy.  I feel bad for people who fall for this.  I have read that some have.

    I called them back several times and screamed into the phone they would answer it them get abusive with me.  I have had enough.  This is war.
