I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website.  I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them.  The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them.  They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance.  They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive.  On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint.  If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.

      You call any of the company numbers and you get a loop message telling you to join with them asking for more of your important info.  No human ever talks to you

    I've been using Square-up for a few months and have not had any problems. I even cancelled my Merchant Warehouse account because the square app and payment system is better. The money is always deposited into my accout automatically within a few days. People writing these things obviously can't read and have no idea how the world works. So far for me, Square is the best!! They have room for improvement but, that's to be expected of a new company. The email only sysyem is fine. If they had to field all calls from people who are just too lazy to read then the rates would uave to go up. They have always gotten back to me in a reasonable timeframe. Be patient.

    I guess it's possible some of these complaints have merit, I just can't see it.

      "people who are too lazy to read" ...... ? Seriously? The majority of the complaints are from policies that are NOT on the website. Such as new accounts having to wait 30 days for deposits over $1000. Dishonest practices at best.

      Also not having a phone number to talk to a human is completely shady.

        Titan....you definately don't read. The 30 day hold over $1000 is clearly posted on their website and if you had a bit of iniciative you would have found their contact number. Which is by the way 415-375-3176.

          The number 415 375 3176 is a fraud based operation ripping peoples bank accounts of anything you have ,,do not use this company.

        I beg to differ.  The information on holding  amount for one month IS on the website.  If you take a large payment from visa/mc and don't have the card present Square will hold a percentage until the next month.  This happened to me and in one month my funds were deposited into my checking account.

      I have to agree! I called the 415-375-3176 option 7 ( they picked up in less than 10 seconds)and spoke to a Customer Service Rep who was very helpful. Explained my concerns which are ..... our busy season starts next month and I've read sooooo many complaints about deposits over $1000 and funds not being available for 30 days!
      What I was told is ..... they have TO EMAIL YOU AN APPLICATION you complete the application  ... and they raise your limit!!!
      I have NOT had a bad experience with them and I am a small business employee and wil continue to use them!!!!! The rates are a LOT cheaper than having to pay a gateway, maintenance fee, and percentage plus per swipe and we have eliminated the annual fee!!!!

        When was the last time a "small business employee" worry about "having to pay a gateway, maintenance fee, and percentage plus per swipe and we have eliminated the annual fee!!!!"

        This is another internet company trying to get as many people sign up so they can cash out through an IPO.

        Please name another merchant service that can hold your fund forever......

            Could you please assist me or tell me why a transaction was declined but still deducted from my clients account, with no confirmation received from clear. I attempted to run the transaction several times and each time it was declined and could not be processed, however my clients bank told me that the transaction went through twice , but one of the transactions was returned. Please advise.

        You actually dialed ext.7 and got a live person on the phone?  I've dialed several extensions and continuously received the same voicemail directing me to send an email.  I tweeted and my account got suspended for aggressive behavior...I have to contact my attorney general.  Banks don't even hold money for 30days.  I know, I worked for one for 3yrs.

        Okay, just tested this phone number.  Dialed 415-375-3176.........,pressed 7 then was directed to an email address, then was directed to the website...........then it JUST DISCONNECTED ME..................Haha.......didn't have to read a THING to figure out that the recording had hung up on me.

        They removed  alot of money from my credit card account,18 transactions in two days, they left phony names and phone numbers that are not legit.Also they get credit cards in your name and use them.

      Listen goody two sh*t,we need solutions. whats your deal,that's your solution (be patient), and then you add insults by saying we cant read and we are lazy?YOUR THE LAZY A** I DON'T KNOW YOU AND ALREADY CANT STAND YA FOR YEARS ha ha I,am like all those on this forum have not been payed, AND have been misrepresented trusting in a company that quite realistically dos'nt pay its bills on time surprisingly,I read all of the statements regarding there policies and procedures  and am still waiting after following the guide lines to the tee on over the amount waiting periods.And as far as  HOW THE WORLD WORKS your clueless we are talking about how one company has turned into a parasitic host on the backs of good and hard working people that need there cash flow doing business not hold ups and waiting periods down time and little to no communication after they seize various amounts of working capital desperately needed.This is what collapses economies quicker than casinos,l! WOW...you know something of there operations ya don't you? square has bad management in place and it will capsize the company because of the piss poor social inept lazy [***] they have working or just drawing a check,that's the problem I had some success from them but now they have gone cold, why because i wanted an answer from one of the little gl##sniffers that work there ,polishing there nails trying to fit into the latest click seen on M TV or getting bigger stones mounted on ears or lips, bottom line is you don't care about your job IF YOU WORK THERE or your just there [***]  because of being so new there's no track record so the complaint don't mean much till you till you get to the root, what one two numbers at best no one has been able to get behind the curtain yet but its coming you people employed at square and and setting back on your laurels having a day laughing because you think you cant be found out and exposed your ignorent  rude manors of business dealings unemployment  day is near why because we are tired of getting ripped.and you need to straighten up and squareup or be shut down.I NEED my money.For those of you who have had it as well let me know your feelings on the matter....

      To you sir I say beware...they are holding 400 from me, on a swiped transaction. I've used their services for over a year. with no problem....but now this is causing a huge problem.

      It would be nice if the email system even worked.  After some searching I found the contact button, then the email button, but then it loops me back to the weblands again.  Need some type of fax or phone contact so when the system goes kaput, you can tell them so.

      Have had no problem with the payments, but wanted information on how to change my email address, and can find no information on that.
