WE BOUGHT A MAYTAG TOP LOAD CENTENNIAL WASHER JULY OF 2011.   WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE COMING IN THE DOOR.  IT WAS PURCHASED AT HARRINGTON APPLIANCE IN HARRINGTON DELAWARE .   THE FIRST THING WE NOTICED IS THAT THE CLOTHES WERE NOT GETTING CLEAN AND A CYCLE TAKES AN ABSURDLY LONG TIME.   IF YOU HAVE A SOUNDPROOF LAUNDRY ROOM, YOU MIGHT BE OK.  IT IS VERY NOISY AND TODAY WE HAD TO REBALANCE ONE LOAD ELEVEN TIMES.  RIDICULOUS.  WE HAVE COMPLAINED TO THE LOCAL PEOPLE IT WAS PURCHASED FROM AND THE MAYTAG COMPANY AND HAD A REPAIRMAN LOOK AT IT, TO NO AVAIL.  LONG STORY SHORT, IT IS A CRUMMY PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE PAID.   I GUESS WE PAID BY THE DECIBEL, BECAUSE WE GOT PLENTY OF BANG FOR OUR BUCK.

Maytag Centennial is junk. Will not spin clothes. I do nothing but stand at the washer and reposition clothes to no avail.I guess my neighbor thinks I am throwing pots and pans and eveythink else ay the wall and if I could I would throw the washer the washer. NEVER buy a MAYTAG washer product.      Jennifer M.

Me too. I am constantly having to hit the drain and spin cycle.
I either find everything totally twisted around the agitator OR a lump of wet clothes on the bottom of the machine.
And the dryer, don't even get me started. That sucker takes forever to dry anything.
I know that there is a class action suit because of the mislabeling of the machine as energy efficient but this is a piece of junk. There is no energy efficiency in having to rewash your clothes and stand over the machine which hurls its noises everywhere.

Horrible washer.  Very finicky with any sort of rock or rust in your water.  Put $100.00 worth of filters to solve the slow fill problem.  It worked for a couple months, now it won’t clean the clothes.  I am researching what could be wrong.  Overly complicated glitch machine.  Steer clear.

We purchased a Maytag Centennial  Washing machine, Sept. 29, 2012. It has been a disappointment from day one, current problem it does not spin all of the water out during the final spin. I put it on spin a couple of times, still had to ring out clothes.  Although it states varies wash cycles all of the cycles are the same length, too long. I will never buy another Maytag product, too many problems.

We inherited the Centennial Washer when we bought our house and over the past year have tried every method mentioned by other's postings here including running the Affresh monthly as recommended by Maytag.  What a joke, just can't get rid of the white residue.  The Affresh isn't an inexpensive product and have to wonder if Maytag doesn't have some affiliation with the company producing this product.  Maytag, what a crock...

No need for me to state my complaints as I'm having the same problems as everyone else.
This is totally a piece of junk, waste of hard earned money especially for a senior citzen. Problems with this machine started from day one. Bought from Lowe's and when I can afford to replace I will never, never, never buy a Magtag again.  Many tears shed over this bad buy I made.

This is the worst machine I have ever owned! Maytag is supposed to be one of the most dependable brands yet they sell customers complete junk! I want my money back but that will never happen. I could hand wash my clothes in dirty river water and they would be cleaner than the way they come out of this washer.I guess my problems with this piece of [***] washer are on error since the whole inside tub just dropped down and now doesn't work at all! I will never buy anything maytag ever again.I will make sure I tell everyone I possibly can how bad this brand and company are! I should have kept my grandmother's wringer washer that was a dependable machine and got your clothes clean and it wasn't maytag!

    Maytag Washer model numberMVWC425BW0
First you have to call Head Quarters CEO than they said I have to take this matter up with complaints dept.
Then I call this phone number they gave to me to call. 1-800-466-3337
Call the number to put in you complaint about your washer. They will not do anything about your washer it has to be repaired 4 times before they can reimburse you for your washer so it is on record they came out or replaced part.  And I did buy the extended warrant for repairs and parts covered! I got results today! one last repair to come out to see what is wrong again and I should be done with this Maytag lemon washer for sure!!
I want to help other to get there washer replaced too. So good luck!

Purchased 2013 Maytag Cenntenial.  I have not had any problems with my washer.  However, compared to my 20 year old Kenmore it is loud and does not wash as efficiently.  I use HE detergent, do wash heavy large loads, and use the extra rinse and spin.  I wash dogs bedding and leaves residual dog hair that I must vacuum out before washing additional loads.  My complaint is the exterior is rusting.  The paint is bubbling around the liquid bleach dispenser.  Obviously I should not complain as the issues others have I do not thankfully.  I'm going to contact maytag about the rusting.
