Under CA law is is harassment to call someone repeatedly and not say anything (silence to intimidate).

This company (319) 274-1902 called my home several times per week for 2 weeks.  When I or my wife answered the call there was no response - just silence.  Finally I had had enough and called back.  I asked immediately for them to stop calling me and to put me on their do not call list.  I was told they don't have a do not call list and then I was asked if "Valentina Johnson" lived here.  I told them no and tried to tell them how upset I was with them but they just said "all you have to say is its a wrong number."  Nonsense, they were clearly calling to get hold of this Valentina (my wife's name is Johnson and first name starts with V but not Valentina) and they were not going to say antything but keep calling until someone with the right accent answered the phone or someone called them back.  Silence being used to intimidate.  And they were targeting anyone with a name similar to this Valentina Johonson.

These guys need to be put out of business.

    I'm 17, my mom has had money issues with some companies but the CBE group calls me atleast twice a day! I don't know how to stop them, I don't know what they expect to accomplish by calling a 17 year constantly.

    I have received several calls a day without a voice message.  The numbers they use are (909) 696-3031, (909) 696-3010, and (909) 696-2954. I finally answered and asked who it was, "CBE Group".  Never heard of this company.  The person asked for my name and wanted to verify my address.  They gave a Chicago address.  I have never ever lived or been to Chicago. Then proceeded to give out the last 4 digits of my government number.  I did not give them any other info or government number.  They refused to give me any information about the call and stated we have to verify who I was first.  So, I continued to refuse any additional information.  Now I am curious to find out if I have been a victim of identity fraud.

    they call my cell phone everyday I just keep blocking them and each time they call they change their number. My cell phone tell me who it is I owe them nothing

    the federal trade commission is looking in  to this  I also file compliant  pertaining to fair credit act. One thing I know is these dummies know nothing about the statue of limitation or they won't keep calling people

    They have called my church phone daily for 2 weeks.  Clearly a wrong number.   But still not removed from list ! They are driving  Church secretary  Up the wall.     Sent letter today to state attn general consumer protection division.  Also note most state attn generals have division that will take these complaints and at times file suit to put them out of business.  But only with enough  complaints.     They've been reported to the BBB almost 500 times.  Their still in business.  They always have legal ground when they claim it was the number given to them by the client they represent.  Bologna!!  I've had the same number for almost 20 years.  If you have my number then the client you represent deserves to be out money.  You didn't even bother to fact check before you did business with them.

    Thay call and call i answer. But no answer back. Their rude about it. Y not answer who your calling??? Wow what a job making people mad. I called back but no one answers just said it was CBE group...think there doing this for some sick game...cuz what the heck are the accomplishing??

    Just got a letter from CBE Group, claiming I owe Comcast Cable $37.93. The account number on the so-called 'Bill' they sent me does not exist. It's not an old account; it's not a new account. I logged into my Comcast stuff just to make sure and it shows I owe nothing. CBE Group is a scam.

    Just keep blocking their number(s). Lots of free apps for blocking unwanted phone numbers.

    This company calls 3 to 4 times a day. If you answer the phone, no one says a word. plus they never leave a message. I too have called them back and get a recording "were sorry we cannot direct your call at this time"  and automatically hangs up. So I reported them to my attorney and let them deal with them. Such a pain in the ass.

    This company doesn't answer when you pick up the phone. It is very annoying and distracting all through the day while you are working not to mention calling the evenings. I have blocked them but I am sure there will be another number they call from. If you are going to call people, at least answer the damn phone!

    Call my wife constantly, say nothing until spoken too refuse to stop calling. My was viciously attacked and has severe physical disabilities and PTSD. They have turned her phone into a torture device for her. These people are animals. They need prosecuted

    they are calling me regarding a debt with the IRS.. which not exists. i don't owed to irs. not matter what you said, they keep repeating the same lines over and over. i told the guy to look for another job. they are scamming people with false debts and using the IRS?!!!  it's ridiculous ..!!

    They keep calling me saying I have an ebay debt of $442. I haven’t used ebay since 2001 and it was a smooth transaction. I have no idea what the hell this is.

    CBs group calling that is a debt collection but never said the name of person in debt collection, want to please stop. callind and disrupting my family, Think this is a scam.
