I was duped into paying for a service that was not preformed on my computer. I asked for three programs to be removed and Adobe Flash properly installed on my computer. In fact I thought I had or was in contact with the Adobe company. I am in desperate need of a refund of my money. My computer is not working properly and I am out $255.++.

When it comes to your employer though, I think I can guess that one, would it be GuruAid perchance?
Any organisation that relies on its own staff to leave fake plaudits like the illiterate ones you can see throughout this thread tells you all you need to know about that organisation: they are crooked scum!
Its clearly mentioned on their home page that there is a 30 days money back guarantee.
I have been using them for past two years and they are great.
Instead of cribbing here like a stupid, do your job of asking the refund first.
a). computer problems can be due to hardware as well as software causes and a good local technician can deal with both, whereas Guruaid can't help with hardware faults
b) Most local technicians advertise a "no fix - no fee" service . Paying Guru aid up front means that if they don't fix it is difficult to get a refund
c) It is highly dangerous to allow a remote stranger, in India, to take over control your computer. They could introduce harmful programmes designed to draw you further into their clutches - or perhaps worse - could find their way into secure areas !!!!
d) I was drawn in and realise how difficult it is to talk to a foreign technician for several hours while he or she plays with your system
e) Can you trust them not to take further payments from your card?? Also,If you pay £100 or £300, up front for a contract, how certain is it that they will remain in business to honour the contract
