I was duped into paying for a service that was not preformed on my computer.  I asked for three programs to be removed and Adobe Flash properly installed on my computer.  In fact I thought  I had or was in contact with the Adobe company.   I am in desperate need of  a refund of my money.   My  computer is not working properly and I am out $255.++.

Luckily i saw these comments online. I asked the guy to stop controls but first he wanted to delete scanning programmes he downloaded. Which i thought ok. But he then tried to scan my laptop (from the black command box). I thought was suspicious  so i revoked his access quickly. Im not sure. They dont give you the security. I only wanted an email unlocked. What an idiot. I dont recommend them. Call microsoft instead

Scam, they'll claim  you've got a load of viruses  and charge x amount to remove.

    Hello Everyone....
I want to inform you that these kind of companies are always behind money that's true but you should also know the fact that any software issues cannot be fixed for free. You can contact the Computer OEM and check they only covers the Hardware not the software even Software OEM does not provide you support for free and if you contact a local technician then you have to pay them on an hourly basis. When you call some company with the product issues please expect a charge even if you contact the company directly. I have seen customers spending a $50-$60 software and expect someone to fix their issues for free, please understand you are paying for the Software not the support. When you call some company and if they are willing to fix it for some charge that's your decision whether you want to or not plus if you think you can get it fixed by someone cheaper than that then you must try that too. I have been working for such support companies and I don't know how they think that a Security Program will fix any problem. You are using MS Windows computer and installing Norton Mcafee etc and expecting some person from Norton or any company to remove Viruses from your Windows Computer. When a computer get infected it doesn't mean the Software isn't working there is possibility that you might have clicked on some link or downloaded some software accidentally or unknowingly. If you purchase a car you won't get a Mechanic for free or by a Car Company will fix that issue for free same way computer required maintenance since its a man made machine not by God. So use some logic behind all these and post accordingly.

I have previously posted positive comments about garuaid (in reply to "was I scammed") and have to repeat that I have received excellent service . They seem to have powerful tools to deal with viruses and I have found them polite, very knowledgeable and professional - and so far, they have been able to cure my problems with unsparing patience
I also  believe that they are ethical and without  sinister motives or methods (My private opinion)
I honestly believe that they will try their level best to solve problems but  issues can be caused by a multiplicity of causes (including hardware) with no single remedy. In that case, I can understand the frustration of trying to deal with the company after paying up front and trying to get a refund
I may have been lucky in not experiencing any of the problems described in this THREAD and hope that continues.
I do like the idea that instead of having to wait for a technician visit or carting the computer to the shop, this system gives me immediate access 24/7 - 365 on a toll free number
I must say however, that I am cognisant of the problems other people have experienced and realise  that paying up front, to an unproven internet company. wasn't the wisest thing I have ever done and although very satisfied, so far, I realise it could have dire consequences

Guru Aid is awful. I had them for a year and every time I called them they made my computer WORSE than when they first worked on it! I did not renew with them due to the awful service. You are much better off dealing with a local company. The previous company that dealt with Symantec went out of business. These folks are headed in that direction.

Guru Aid is a very good service which is eligible for NASA. All of them should be sent on a mission to other Solar System so that they can provide technical support to Aliens. And as in for earth, the name of the company is dicey. Because a guru never aids, he heals. So All the ladies with heels on their Sandals should throw it on them once they speak with them.
They actually don't lie, coz liars are after all humans. Even they should not be compared to dogs and [***] because the animals will feel bad about it.
They have actually symbolized GURU as a Logo of the Company which is IRRELEVANT TO THEIR WORKS AND DEEDS. RIP !

Please Note : I am not against any company, however I am against those companies who dare to enter their ideas in open forum by hook and crook to manipulate people.

I was tricked into using their services. I have a subscription with McAfee and when I tried to contact them I somehow got re-directed to GuruAid. The employee told me he worked with McAfee but since I had a software issue (Ad Pop Up) on my new computer and I had not installed my security software right away before using my laptop it was my fault my new laptop was infected. Since McAfee could not fix the issue I would have to pay $100 US. to GuruAid to fix my pop up and get my PC working properly. I resented being "scammed" into fixing my issue with GuruAid. It's too bad they have to resort to such tactics to get business. My issues were fixed and the person who helped me was very polite. Unfortunately, I would never use them again.

I am disappointed with GuruAid, I had them fix a problem a year ago and since then  my contract expired they have been calling me and I quit answering the phone. Then they started blocking their number and when I answer they tell me to open up my computer as there is a bad virus that is taking over my computer, I told them I don't have computer. But they still called me at least 5 times a week. Then one day working on a project where I have to open up the Newspaper archives I kept getting a pop up in Spanish advertising it looked like various technological wares. I tried to get rid of it and to no avail I couldn't get rid of it. So I had to call GuruAid and I truly think they put that virus into my computer so that I would have to have them fix the problem I wish I could complain to some Government agency to look into their scam. I had to pay $179.00 for them to fix it.

I had a problem installing my Norton virus protector, rang a number that claimed to be Norton helpline and the indian person on the end of the line assured me guruaid as they were called assured me he worked for Norton. I was then told I had numerous problems with my laptop including a hijacker conduit which I was told was very bad. Long story short paid the £119 for them to clean my laptop put in two virus protecters which I now find out are free and tech help for a year. My biggest problem with it all is how are they getting away with misrepresenting these well known companies they are telling down right lies.

    Hi Everyone,

I am from india and i am an ex-employee of the GURUAID, Unfortunately i was a part of the fraud company...
    1) This company is not registered in india and they company is fake. The Guruaid is already Scammed in UK. They make big bussiness from US. They provide support to US, Canada, UK & Australia.

When any one call Guruaid first the calls will be attended by the sales team and they dont know ABCD about the computer and they assigned to fool the Senior Citizen customers. First they will take the remote of your computer and perform a Scan using the Free tool called AVG PC Tuneup. They will scare you stating that your computer has 16000 troubles. Never get in to the trap. Its a humble request.

They will offer you OTF)One time fix) $80 - $120.
Once you agree for the OTF then they will pitch for 1 year, 2 year & 3 Years contract.
They are very expert in taking the payment. As soon as you pay the calls will be transferred to technical team which usually takes more than 1 HOUR.

If you having any issue like Popups and browsing issue they use free tools like: Adwcleaner, Malware bytes, Ccleaner and other freewares. I am sure this applications you can download with out paying them any amount.

They have word called "CLEANUP & TUNEUP" This is not a technical term.

As a Friend to society and humanity i will request everyone please dont get in to this fraud bussiness.

Also they take survey only from the happy customers and ask them to update on websites.

They pay google to buy the words like norton support, Mcafee Support, Kaspersky Support. If you are any of the 4 countries try searching for the word and you will get such fraud companies.

    "BEWARE OF THE GURUAID".
