I was duped into paying for a service that was not preformed on my computer.  I asked for three programs to be removed and Adobe Flash properly installed on my computer.  In fact I thought  I had or was in contact with the Adobe company.   I am in desperate need of  a refund of my money.   My  computer is not working properly and I am out $255.++.

Today I had the worst experience with Guruaid. I originally have Norton, but when I bought my laptop the Best Buy employee told me about Kaspersky. So I decided to switch to Kaspersky anyways I had a problem downloading the system. So I google kaspersky customer service phone # and guruaid came up. Stupid me I called them and should of know when someone right away picked up that's its bull. Emmanulle with an heavy Indian accent screen shared with me and told me I have all these issues with a new laptop! I became suspicious when he told me they don't work directly with Kaspersky but as a 3rd party! I asked him if this is free of charge and he started mumbling saying they will fix my problem for $99.95! I said absolutely not and hung up, right away I shut the screen sharing and shut down my comp! Not only is Kaspersky terrible, I'm still trying to unistall kaspersky! I"m worried that the whole guruaid was a scam and I hope they didn't infect my computer or did more damage. Watch out people, call only the original companies numbers!

For the record, Guruaid grossly misrepresent themselves but Kaspersky is generally regarded as one of the best antivirus products.

No, I think you'll find that you are actually a Guru aid employee, if you check your payslip carefully.

@stephen...You know [***] about GuruAid! it is an independent PC support company. when you call them the TECH on call will represent the company very carefully. you might not be having good listening skills. you could have asked them at the start about their company, why did you continued????
And they are not forcing you to buy their plans, it is you who paid them. you could have ignored everything.
It is clearly mentioned on guruaid's website that it is an third party tech support.

For your kind information there are hundreds of people like you who are not satisfied with guruaid, but there are thousands of people who are actually satisfied with guruaid.

        Thank you.

i enrolled with another company but somehow i ended up with guru aid. i have no idea how that happened.
i just got off the internet with guru aid. they did fix my computer this past september for 89.99. because i didn't have the funds at that time for the whole year, they said that I could make two payments. one in september and one the following month. they took the first and fixed it.
today i am having problems again and contacted them. well, they said i did not enroll for the whole year and i should have paid them the rest withing two weeks. if they took the first payment - because they had my debit card number - why didn't they take the second payment? they said nothing then about payment within 2 weeks.
i still have to check my bank statement.
now they want me to pay all over again. IMAGINE THAT!!! THIEVES!!! BEWARE PEOPLE!!!

I have called Guruaid for support twice now, i dont think that Guruaid is a scam, both times they managed to get my pc up and running again. I had an old computer with only 512 mb, so it was in trouble a lot. They were always polite, even tho a bit hard to understand, they repeated everything numerous times for me. I have no complaints with them.

I had a problem with Kaspersky Internet taking hours to update.  Kaspersky on-line help, couldn't solve the problem (A subsequent installation of AVG presented no problems - ever.)  I phoned what I thought was Kaspersky help line and got unknowingly got GuruAid.  Like many others, I thought I was talking to a Kaspersky representative.  I allowed him to take charge of my computer and like so many others he found tons of problems.  The rep tried to sell me the $299 package.  I took the computer to a well-known local company who found that the problems were simply normal clutter that occurs with use.  BEWARE!!

I had a problem with Outlook so I googled Microsoft after Sky had done all they could.  I ended up with Guru but didn't know at first.  I spoke to Kevin Cooper with a strong Asian accent.  They deleted a load of warnings remotely and I could see they'd done something, but didn't get rid of Norton as they offered.  They said the problem was I had Norton and McAfee and the two conflicted.

I could use Outlook afterwards but maybe Microsoft could have sorted that?  I paid for a one off fee.  Maybe I would have had to take the laptoip to a technician to remove all the warnings?  Not sure but how come I get on to them when I wanted Microsoft?  I tried the 0800 number but it wasn't answered and neither was the American number.

If you want to know whether these comments are true check the use of capital letters where they wouldn't appear in normal English.  Bad grammar too. And bad names!!
