I purchased a sofa and chair from a furniture store about 18 months ago. I chose the England brand furniture because I was told about their exceptional quality. Unfortunately, the fabric and cushions are wearing pre-maturely. The fabric is tearing and the cushions are loosing their shape. England refuses to acknowledge the tearing because the 1 year warranty has expired. They are looking into the cushion problem. I never had this problem with any other brand of living room furniture I purchased over the last 35 years.

I recommend Flexsteel, I've had suit for 13 years, cousins look great, arms look great. No one that doesn't know cant believe it's 13 yrs old. Yes it's more expensive but I am firm believer u get what u pay for.

My husband and I purchased a sofa (with end recliners) and 2 rocker/recliners. The rocker/recliners are EXTREMELY difficult to close. Elderly and young simply cannot open and close them without assistance. I've since been told by technicians who have come to service the pieces that this is an inherent problem with the design of the rocker/recliner which has led to numerous complaints from people who have purchases these chairs. I cannot imagine that this issue has not been brought to the attention of those at England furniture; to let this go ignored is incomprehenisible. On another note - when rocking in the chair, it is very noisy - all you can hear is the springs expanding and contracting! I've had other - much cheaper - rocker/recliners that were MUCH better than these chairs.

I emailed England furniture and their reply was that they were unaware of any such issue and would look into it - I haven't heard back from them since then - that was back in April.

I too just purchased an England sofa and within days of delivery, the cushions were bad.  We are sitting in holes.  Repair said that would ship new cores and the furniture store will not replace the sofa.  What a mistake buying England brand furniture (which I thought would be good (LazyBoy).

Had my foam replaced three weeks ago and they are getting flapped out already. I was told by the tech who brought my new foam that it is made in China, that's why it doesn't last.  So much for England furniture made in US.  It may be assembled here but  the materials are not.

Sounds like the sofa we purchased. Nothing but trouble with the cushions. They were also replaced 3 times and still sink down when we sit on them,, especially sitting near the arm of the sofa, The last ones were supposed to have coils in them, but are not any better than the previous 2 sets. I cannot even touch the floor that now they are so high. My husband says 'we should have never invested in England'. Wish I would have listened, I am waiting now to see what they can do next for us.

Looked at England Consair sofá and loveseat at local  furniture store.   Came home to be sure of measurements....so glad I read reviews...will keep looking with so many dissatisfied reviews.  Too big of an investment of $2300 to be having problems

I am also having probems with the cording.  The plastic is poking through the cording.  I am embarrassed to have company over.  I was also told it is out of warranty and the cord breaking is normal wear and tear.
