I purchased a sofa and chair from a furniture store about 18 months ago. I chose the England brand furniture because I was told about their exceptional quality. Unfortunately, the fabric and cushions are wearing pre-maturely. The fabric is tearing and the cushions are loosing their shape. England refuses to acknowledge the tearing because the 1 year warranty has expired. They are looking into the cushion problem. I never had this problem with any other brand of living room furniture I purchased over the last 35 years.

I also purchased sofa and loveseat 2 years ago. Both have seams tearing on the back down the middle. I take good care of my furniture & keep covered at all times since I have young kids. An upholster advised me that neither has been stuffed enough & when we move so does the fabric causing the seams to pull. He can fix but states this will happen on a regular basis. I have emailed company & will keep you informed.

True, the website contains a "drop-box" for information, but NO where on there does it say that when  you DO need to use your warranty where you can go!

I no longer live in the town where I bought my couch - and the La-Z-Boy store down the street is telling me that it's "not their job" but they'll see what they can do.

The warranty booklet provided at time of purchase advises you to seek service from the retailer where the purchase was made.  We understand that consumers relocate sometimes and in most cases we are able to locate another authorized England, Inc. retailer in your area.  If you would like to communicate your city and state of residence we can assist with locating a dealer and helping with a resolution.  Please contact England, Inc. at sales@englandfurniture.com.
    thank you.

Thank goodness for all of the reviews we were about ready to plunk down $3,000 for a England  7200 series sectional consisting of five pieces.  Will definitely look for a better line of furniture and perhaps a different dealer

We purchased 1-5-06 your England 7200 Buck skin sectional, the cousions have been re stuffed once, within a matter of a few months, (this sofa is in our winter home in Yuma Ax.) We returned to our home this winter, and again the cushions are flatentin, and the fabrick is overlaping. This sofa is under a ten(10) year waranty. I have talked withe the sales man David, as well as the owners of Foothills Mattress & Furniture, they recomended I email you  personaly.  Their MUST be something (ENGLAND)can do to fix or replace this almost $2000.00 dollar sectional.  I await your quick response.

    Sincerely,
    Madeline Johnston

I have photos of the couch we bought six years ago from the store in Toledo OH.  Loveseat and recliner are fine; however the couch is completely falling apart.  Leather is coming apart, and not just at the seams.  The recliners at both ends are broken, and the middle section is now broken as well.  The Toledo Area Better Business Bureau already has SEVERAL complaints on file regarding your two stores in the Toledo area.

My husband and I have been dealing with the Monroe St store since LAST FALL.  As of last week, they were willing to repair the couch if we paid for labor - to the tune of $300+.   THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  I want a new couch!

The next step is our attorney, or better yet, to local television consumer reports group.  I'm sure you do not want a film crew in your store.  Please respond ASAP.

We just ordered a malibu sectional.  Was wondering if you ended up getting your sectional two years ago and if so, are you happy with it.

Months after purchasing England furniture I find this site and wish I would not have made my purchase.  Of course the salesman told me how wonderful England is and how they stand behind their furniture.  I bought a love seat and the fabric is stretching and is beginning to look horrible.  My biggest complaint is the fabric on the chair cushion slips whenever I sit in the chair.  This leaves the zipper to move to the top of the cushion and the cording under the cushion.  I have been informed to flip the cushion everyday to avoid this.  No, I do not think this is the answer; this is a design defect as both the cushion and the fabric backside are slippery.  The store I bought this from refuses to work with me even though the chair is under warranty.  They have informed me to contact England.  Great the burden is on the customer to get this fixed.  I am very upset about my purchase and wish I would have not paid as much as I did as this furniture is not going to last like it should.  ENGLAND can you help me?

Do you even read the posts or not. Look at the amount of people that have trouble with their England furniture. I paid for it with my hard earned money. Warrenty should be backed up with no expense to the customer.

    Ms. Stewart,
I am very sorry for the inconveniences you are experiencing.  With a purchase date of 6 years ago I must inquire, did these issues arise all at once, or over time, and did you attempt to resolve the issues with store in a timely manner?  The two stores you have mentioned were independently owned and operated and subsequently, an ownership change occurred.  Your purchase may have been with the original owner and your service request with the current owner.  In either case please send any additional information you have and I will be more than happy to see if options are available to assist with an amical resolution.  Please correspond further detailes by email at philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com.

    LaDonna,
Our reclining mechanisms normally have 2 tension springs serving a dual purpose.  One to keep the ottoman board closed and the other to keep it up when in the open position.  Sometimes by replacing the tension springs relief can be experienced.  I encourage you to contact the store where the purchase was made and inquire further regarding service.
    thanks,
    Philip

    Wy_oldtimer,
The 7200 series you mentioned is one of England's best selling sectionals.  I am curious if you purchased another suite and the name of the retailer and manufacture.
