I purchased a sofa and chair from a furniture store about 18 months ago. I chose the England brand furniture because I was told about their exceptional quality. Unfortunately, the fabric and cushions are wearing pre-maturely. The fabric is tearing and the cushions are loosing their shape. England refuses to acknowledge the tearing because the 1 year warranty has expired. They are looking into the cushion problem. I never had this problem with any other brand of living room furniture I purchased over the last 35 years.

      Mr.  England,
Will you please check with Phillip Arnold with your organization about our sofa and loveseat??  I do not want to re-write the whole problem again.  No one with your company or the furniture store will help us!!  Everyone, keeps telling us that it is normal for the fabric to come off in huge clumps??  First, I was told in August....that our furniture store contacted your sales rep and pictures were sent?  No one knows where the pictures are.  Next our casing was sent to your company, and it was just found mind you it is almost March.  Now Mr. Arnold said it was tested at your facility, and there is nothing wrong with it??  He also mentioned that if we cleaned it improperly that would have caused it....we did not.  Now Mr. Arnold is reminding us of our warranty expiring??  We told the company in August, and have been waiting for assistance.  I have already contacted the BBB and the Ohio Attorney General, and they are saying that your company is working on it??  PLEASE HELP US!
      Sincerely,
      Rhea Bandiera

Could you please tell me if Mr. Arnold resolved your complaint. As I am aware years have past, I had no luck dealing with Mr. Bill Woods and felt fortunate to have Mr. Arnold help. My set was delivered to me March 18,2016 and as of yet remains unused as I am hopeful England will find a way to pick my suite up or allow another store to send me a new set and pick thiss up as I await a trial ffor stopping payment on my last 1/2 of payment.

I am currently considering purchasing a sofa from this company and now rethinking. Has the quality changed since all these complaints?

      To whom it may concern,

I Purchased a England Lazy Boy sofa sleeper in 2008, Since that time i have had continous problems with the coushins, they seem to sink down and not bounce back up after you get up from the couch and they seem to have lost thier shape . These coushins have been replaced in 2011 and i am having the same issues with the replacement. This item was purchased at Burkes Furniture , sydney Nova Scotia , they have sent a rep out to look at my sofa and  two weeks later i was informed that the undercarriage of the sofa bed was the problem with my coushins , this sofabed has a lifetime warranty and i have been informed that it is at my expense to replace the undercarriage of the sofa bed. I am not at all pleased with this as when i purchased this product i was lead to believe lifetime warranty ment lifetime , this is espically upsetting to me as this sofabed has only been slept on a handfull of times by a single person , also this is a couch in my basement and is not used daily for sitting and has never been , so this is not an issue with overuse of the product . It is my impression in this matter that England furniture does not stand behind its warranty  and would not be in a hurry to purchase another product by England. Any help in this issue would be greatly apperciated ,

It has been at least 45 days, 4 telephone calls and now 4 emails. My complaint has not been
resolved even though I have talked personally with Bill Woods (X-1343) and my husband talked
personally to someone else (no name). We gave all the info (8203 DRLS S) stating the cable
operating the recliner broke (the cable has springs or adjustments whichever you call them on both
ends). Mr, Woods did send replacement but they were not the correct ones and would not fit!!!!!!!!!
End of England being helpful.  I was reading complaints on your england furniture, when your
name popped up, so I decided to try once again to get my complaint resolved, if no luck, one
customer will not ruin a company, but we sure will try to keep individuals from purchasing England
furniture. Hoping this will not be necessary!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found a sofa at Furniture Liquidators, louisville, KY., that I really liked. I've been looking for at least 2 years & haven't found anything until now. However,  I've just read MANY, MANY unresolved complaints about Endland Furniture so before I purchase anything by Endland I want to know if, as of 2015, there have been any improvements by England Furniture?
I hope to hear from you in the next couple of weeks otherwise I will continue looking elsewhere.
      Thank you for your time.

I bought a sectional, love seat and recliner all England Brand. I was going thru my lock box the other day and remembered I had a warranty on my furniture. I called the store I bought it from and he was supposed to have sent in the papers. My sister in law told me that my sectional had a prob. to. So I called back the store to tell the man I talked to. He said well you said there was no prob. with it. The sectional is very seldom used. But they come up to see about me every 2 or 3 weeks. I didn't know. So now he tells me that I have to pay the amount to fix it all back. Well isn't that what the warranty is for. The recline has not been used for 3 years due to the fact that you can feel the wood in it. I bought it in 3/07. I was told by the owner that my cousins had a 20 year warrenty on them. 10 on the rest. I of 2400.00 plus in cash. I am on SS it hard to come up with extra money to pay to have it fixed with. Not to mention if you have to send it back to get it fixed I have nothing to sit on.

My sectional is model 6400 serial number 114103. Love seat was special ordered no serial number on the love seat anywhere. But it is model # 6406. Recliner model 114102. Serial # 3506700.  The recliner has been this way several years. So is the love seat. The sectional is hardly used and my sister in law told me about it. I sat on it and the back of the cushion goes down. I just found my paperwork and warrenty just a few days ago. I cant understand why if you have a warrenty you have to pay for you all to fix it.

I was going to suggest that my daughter buy a sofa by your company (bc of all the colors and fabrics offered) from a store in the 07960 area. After reading all these problems, it's back to the drawing board. Thank you everyone for saving me headaches of problems and what looks to be like horrible customer service

Is it true that England Furniture has improved their design and have improved the coushion problems. I am interesten in buying a sectional but after reading these complaints, I am hesitant. The salesman told me that every cushion comes with a zipper so that if they get flat, they can be easily restuffed. After visiting this site I am beginning to see why.

    Maria G,
England, Inc. is an American company and we take pride in building quality products.  We monitor and review componentes on a daily basis and when improvements can be achieved, we do explore that avenue.

During the later part of 2008 we began to phase out our patented "Adjust-a-comfort" split core cushion and replaced it with a block foam cushion.  This may be the design change that you have learned about.

England, Inc. cushions provide a couple of benefits and features that you should find very encouraging.  First is the cushion air vents.  When someone sits on a cushion, the cushion compresses and the air must excape.  The cushion air vents allow air to exit the casing, reduces stress on seams and sewing points, plus allows air to re-enter the cushion once the user has gotten up.

Second, is our self healing zippers.  In the event a zipper bursts open, ours are designed to fix the issue quickly.  By unzipping the the casing the full length of the zipper and then re-zipping it close, a broken zipper can be remedied.

Third, is our seat cushion warranty.  We offer a Limited Ten Year Warranty on the seat cushion.

Some additional features and/or benefits of England, Inc. for you to consider are: hidden zipper access to inside backs allowing the consumer to customize the fit and feel of their product, ability to special order from a selection of 400 fabric and leather choices, depending on your location product could arrive in as little as 21 days, and the product is shipping on our own fleet of trucks by drivers experienced in handling furniture.

I encourage you to visit our web site at www.englandfurniture.com.  The site includes company information, warranty information, dealer locator, room planner option, frame and fabric viewing of popular selling combinations, and a contact us feature if you need additional support or answers.

If you would like to contact me, I can be reached at philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com.

    thanks,
    philip

We purchased an England sofa and loveseat in May 2013. The back of our sofa has been broke for months!! It squeaks so bad it's embarrassing to have anybody to sit on it. I have been getting the run around from the store we purchased it from for 7 months but when we contacted England we were just told to have the furniture store contact them. Still waiting to get the sofa fixed! Cushions have been replaced and waiting on new replacement cushions again. My husband and I are the only ones who live in our home and we're not large people. I had cheaper stuff while our children were growing up that lasted longer than this junk. Very disappointed with the England brand of furniture.

We purchased a sofa with recliners on both ends.  It is a struggle to get the recliner foot rest to close. It may take 4-5 tries before you can get it to stay closed and be able to get off the sofa.  We have had this sofa for less than a month.  Your thoughts please.
