I purchased a sofa and chair from a furniture store about 18 months ago. I chose the England brand furniture because I was told about their exceptional quality. Unfortunately, the fabric and cushions are wearing pre-maturely. The fabric is tearing and the cushions are loosing their shape. England refuses to acknowledge the tearing because the 1 year warranty has expired. They are looking into the cushion problem. I never had this problem with any other brand of living room furniture I purchased over the last 35 years.

J just purchased England sofa, loveseat and a recliner. The sofa had a hole in the upper back and the loveseat had a cut, even in the foam.  They weren't delivered til after 5p. I contacted dealer the next morning as soon as she opened. The company is wanting to send PARTS or I can take it to the store I purchased and the will FIX> Would this be acceptable?  It isn't to me. Mr. Bill Woods was the person I s[poke to and he said it falls under manufactory warranty??? I can't believe what I am hearing.

Wow,, I am glad I looked this up, as the guy at the furniture store was telling me that England had really good, no sag cushions, I was about to make the purchase.  I think I will stick with Stanton made couches.

I just purchased an Englander sectional .After waiting 8 weeks for delivery the Thursday before Memorial Day 2016. I noticed while vacuming the seam on one of the back cushions was split wide open .I contacted Customer service and The Rug Dr. came .He came a day early and blamed the tear on my cat !!! The couch is less then a week old and it is not scratched up It is a split right in the seam .He left without making any repairs and 10 days later have not heard back from anyone. The salesman told me this was a great couch .Almost $3000.00 .He said it was a tank "The last couch I would ever buy .We went back to the store where we were completely ignored as another couple was complaining about the same couch They explained to us that they were already on the second replacement and still having issues .not one person in that store even acknowledged us .BTW The floor model is now half price and the store will no longer be carrying this sectional !!! EXTERMELY DISAPPOINTED !!!I want them to take back their garbage !!!

I purchased England couch with chaise lounge in 2012 and it is still in excellent condition. No wear on the material at all. As a matter of fact I just bought a new home and am going to buy new living room furniture , I'm buying England.

I love the fabric but the chair is sub standard!!! Lazy boy has let me down, what a shame!! Every time i look at the chair i get sick, so i put it in another room so i don't have to look at it!!! I am very upset because my husband is a veteran and i got this chair for his Birthday!!! What a bust!!!

I see that others say not to trust Lay-Z-Boy. I bought a recliner two years ago that is a Lay-Z-Boy and it now offers no lower back support. In fact, I keep a pillow on it to hide the hole at the back of the seat and the wires at the lower part of the back show through the fabric. Horribly disappointing purchase.

What I encountered was going to the store to pick up my England sectional and it hadn't come in yet. While waiting, my excitement grew while lounging on the DISPLAY MODEL England sectional. The piece arrived 15 minutes later, and I escorted the delivery truck to my home and we positioned it in the living room. I then sat on the thing and it was obvious what was coming over me, my England sectional was definitely lacking the firmness, apparent quality or stability as the display model at the store. I thought it was all in my head...4 months later....mis-shapen cushions, fabric becoming "furry" and connecting port pulled out from wood frame and now there is a gap between the sections where they "try" to meet. I could see this sectional lasting maybe 10-15 years, but within that span will have a lengthy window looking like a couch better suited for a college students rental. Disappointing, given the money spent.

About to start couch shopping, I have an England couch and love seat from 1989, still in great shape, no problems with cushions or springs, fabric is now pilling, Maybe they made them better back then, so I may look into recovering what I have. This is the heaviest couch, well made and no complaints.

buyer beware! just bought 3 piece living room set made by flexsteel. What was in the furniture store was great, what i got for my $3000.00 was cheap poor quality furniture, which i am now stuck with. Now i was looking at England brand and after reading these reviews i will not buy this brand either.

I am also disappointed with England!! I had bought a few cheap couches over the years and they did not last, so I decided to buy England spending about $2000 on a simple love seat and couch with not reclining at all. The frame is light weight and poor quality. The leg was broke off the loveseat and will fall off when someone moves it. This was a special order with fabric I picked out, and now the fabric is running because of loose strings, so I have lines running up my couch cushions. I will never and I mean never waste my money on England furniture again. I contacted the company about possible recall of fabric. I can't wait to see them dance around this issue. I'm sure somehow it is my fault the fabric is defective. Please do not spend your hard earned dollars of this furniture.

We bought a small imitation leather couch in Aug. 2015 for $1000.  About 8 months later, the cushion material was getting cracks in it.  The cushions were replaced by the factory.  In Feb. 2017, the material on the arms and back showed cracking. The factory told the Store we bought it that it is out of warranty, and so we are out of luck as far as they are concerned.  Do not recommend this brand.  We wasted our money.  I wish we had just went to a cheap Store and bought anything but this couch for so much less money.  Such a disappointment over defective, cheap material!  I certainly wish I had read these posts before we spent all that money.  They should be ashamed of themselves.

None of these views mention model numbers or fabric of the pieces in mind.
I want my sofa to wear out so I can go get a new one. I was just looking at my Lazyboy Recliner I got in Dec 1984
and it still looks great after all these years etc. Three kids and a cat.
If England is made in the USA then buy two or three to keep America Great Again, otherwise go buy a Lazy Boy that is made in Japan.

We bought England sofa & loveseat May, 2019 from Blockers, Ocala, FL. I chose a different fabric than was on the showroom sofa. When furniture was delivered there were visible sags and wrinkles in the cushions. My 22 year old sofas looked better-and I wish I'd kept them. These pieces are for our formal living room, which is used infrequently, but they looked old & shabby the first day of delivery. Customer service at the store of purchase is sincerely trying to help. So far England has replaced the cushions and sent a 'tech' to "groom' the cushions. This consists of stretching and smoothing the fabric by hand. I was told I'd need to do this whenever someone sits on them. Ridiculous! Today a 'tech" came and re-wrapped inner foam with dacron batting. did no good. Waiting to hear from Blockers about refund; get the feeling England's waiting to see who blinks first. Hoping I'll get tired and drop it. Not a good company for quality or customer relations. On the other hand retailers who represent this companys product should also take responsibility and demand warranties be honored promptly!

I have had my Monroe sectional about 7 years.  The cushions are flat.  I don’t know if I can find the receipt where I bought it.  I would like to know where I could buy new cushions, with the coils.
