I received a call by a man calling himself Jack Zachwalker. He said if I had a valid credit card w/ at least a dollar on it he could guarantee me a $200 gas card.  I would have to pay a fee of $3.90 to get the gas card. He called repeatedly.  Now the calls have stopped.

i also received a call from a man calling himself sam Barera who was offering a &200 gas card but i was supposed to pay the shipping costs. He said that this was a gift from his company. I told him that people dont pay for gifts given by others, and that if this is truly a gift, he should send it to me fro free. That pissed him off and he ended the call.
Beware of these people. There are so many if them today and they call so frequently. Two weeks ago I was tricked into the same thing by selectyourgifts.com. In this case, the $1000 gift card promised was never shipped to me and now my money is gone, and there is no option for unsubscription.
    BEWARE!!

My teenage son received a call at our home from this group claiming that because we were such good customers, we were going to receive a free gift, if only the shipping costs were covered.  Thinking he was doing us a favor, he gave the caller his debit card number.  Fortunately, he called me at work to tell me about it, and we immediately cancelled his card and double checked to make sure the money he is saving for college was untouched - luckily, we were quick enough to stop any withdrawals.  For us it worked out; a good life lesson with no horrible consequences.

I just spent 30 minutes screwing with these guys. They said it was safe to give them my credit card number because the 16-digit number is just an ID number and not an account they could charge.

I kept giving them fake credit card numbers that were not 16 digits long. The guy finally got upset and started saying some very foul things, but his broken English made them funny.

He even threatened to come to my house at the fake address I gave him, and do some mean things. I then explained to him exactly what would happen if he came to my house.

The number on my caller ID showed 949-256-9139

I got a call from someone who said I won a $200 gas voucher. He said that all I needed to do is pay for shipping and handling of $3.99 or something. Then he said I could just use a card that at least had one dollar. He then finally said all he needed was to verify my expiration date on one of my cards and some ID number. I then just asked him to put me on a do not call list. He did not want to hang up kept asking me what was wrong. Ask my co-workers about who work for a customer service department. They all agreed it was a scam because nothing in the world is free. The guy had a Indian accent not to be raciest or anything.

I just got off the phone with these people and i ended it after he asked for my cc number, i told him as i was talking to him that i was reading all of these comments; he said oh no! no! - i told him to take my name off his list and do not call me. SCAM! And another thing struck me, they kept saying they were calling from Arizona but everyone had an accent! I am so glad I hung up, the number showed on my id is 402-982-0420

I am wondering who do any of us report these people to in order for them to get what they deserve. I'm starting to get pretty heated and if he doesn't stop calling I'm gonna make them cry!

These are scammers. Am new to the country on vacation, when they called i was dumb enough to give them my card details thinking i would suprise my brother with a 200 hundred dollar gas voucher. They repeatedly told me i would not be charged for anything except the 3 dollars shipping fee. When i told my brother about it he told me its a scam and i should call and cancel. I called the customer care number they gave me and cancelled and again they assuared me i would not receive any charges. Two days later my account was charged 61 dollars! I called to complain and a guy told me that i had agreed to the questions which meant i had subscribed (even though i was told repeatedly answering yes does not mean you have subscibed). I was upset and called them scammers. my brother called them again immediately afterward and a lady responded that they would credit back the account after 5 working days. I think they are just trying to stall me. They are scammers!! The authorities should do something about them. At this point am considering the 61 dollars gone and planning to close my account so they dont steal more.

You should call your credit card company and dispute the transaction. They have a much better way of handling this kind of "Fraudulent" activity. You definitely do not have to pay it from your pocket.

They are a scam.  They are phishing for credit card numbers to cram charges against.

If you have disclosed your card number, immediately contact your bank to block the card.  Dispute any charges they make with your bank as fraudulent.  Follow up with a written fraud dispute or fraud affidavit, sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.  You must dispute within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges, to dispute in accordance with FRB Reg. E (for checking accounts or debit cards), or FCBA (for credit cards).

File additional fraud complaints with FTC, and your state Attorney General.

I just got a call from those guys, luckily like you im not giving a credit card to anyone over the phone! I told him that I researched them and came across sites warning against them. He got really upset... Started talking over me, I told him to take my number out of his system. He said no, I asked to speak to his mgr and he said no. I had a few foul words of my own and hung up.... good riddence. Kinda hope he does call back.

I just got the $200 gas card call and immediately went to google. Thank goodness for sites like these. I called the 1-877-472-1629 provided by Andrea Combs and it worked. I just like hassling these people because they hassled me.

They asked me where I got their customer care number...call them and hassle them.

I just got a call about the $200.00 gas voucher. The caller was trying to trick me into provideing my Visa Acct. #. He first asked if the first of the "long number in the front of the card" was 4 and for me to confirm it which I did, he then asked me to read the rest of the numbers, which I refused to do. He kept insisting that he only wanted the number for verifying my name and address and that his company was not interested in my money nor acct # and this is not an acct # anyway!. I thanked him and told him I was not interested and hung up, I received two more phone call from the guy, trying to trick me into giving my acct #. I hung up after telling him I was not interested in his gas voucher and to not call me again. I do not have caller ID so I could not get the number the call was placed from. Does anyone out there know what to do about these scammers. I fear for more vulnerable people than can be tricked by them.
