I received a call by a man calling himself Jack Zachwalker. He said if I had a valid credit card w/ at least a dollar on it he could guarantee me a $200 gas card.  I would have to pay a fee of $3.90 to get the gas card. He called repeatedly.  Now the calls have stopped.

Okay so I checked out the website.....it's quite hilarious. They've got it set up to look pretty legit....yet the links are just generic links to places like Midas, Pepboys, Autozone.....I wonder if these places know that these crooks are using their names....?  Waiting for them to call me back.......

june 3 2010 2:35pm I received numerous calls from american auto benifits out of phenix arizona from a so called Richard Flemings.  I let him go thru his spill about the gas card and how I won it bla bla bla.  So when he finally shut his mouth I cunningly began asking questions about how he got my info and such.  These guys gotta be beginners because as soon as u ask them a question they lose there cool and get frustrated but if u bate them just right and keep them on the hook long enough u can get the laugh of a life time its really fun.  But any way tho because they are using a phone in the commission of a crime it becomes a federal crime. So u should contact your local prosecutor and inform them of the calls especially if you are being called repeatedly, take down as much info as you can even tho it might or is fake.  But at best the most u will probably get out of it because of the way these people do what they do is to get yourself a big ol jolly laugh by really pissing them off by asking them question after question and u can really get to them if u ask the same question over and over again and then act as if they re not understanding the question.  For some reason they are not mentally strong enough to handle being taken away from there script.  Any time you get a call from some one saying u won interupt them immediately and just start asking questions u will almosst see an instant aggresiveness that you wont get from a legit company.  Questions to ask; how did u get my info, what is the name of ur business, who are u- "No you re not______ I know ________he or she is a very good friend of mine", what is your website address, etc..  Its time for someone to do something about this because too many people are falling victim to these people especially our elderly people who have worked there whole life just to have it taken by these people who live by stealing from others.  I d amagine if they put the same amount of time and energy into doing something legitamate they might do well in life; what a waste of space!  The besst thing we can do is really take home the fact that we have people out there that are taking advantage of people by way of our phone lines, internet, and mail service.  Tell your loved ones young and old alike that they should never believe any offers, winnings, anything that involves you giving any info especially financial info.  the # I was called from 402-982-0420 under the name MSL PROMO

OMG, THE SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED TO ME. THEY CALLED OFFERING TO SEND ME A $200.00 GAS VOUCHER FOR FREE, NO SHIPPING FEE. I WOULD GET IT IN 7 DAYS BY MAIL. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS VERIFY MY IMFORMATION. YEAH RIGHT!! I ASK FOR HIS NAME AND COMPANY NAME HE TOLD ME HIS NAME WAS DANIEL SMITH, YEAH RIGHT, I SAID TO HIM YOU SOUND THAT LIKE ONE OF MY FRIENDS AND THEIR NAME IS VERY HARD TO PRONOUNCE, YOUR NOT FROM THE US ARE YOU, I ASKED. HE SAID MY COMPANY IS CALLED AMERICAN AUTO DISCOUNT AND WE ARE LOCATED IN PHONEX, ARIZONA. I CAN GIVE YOU MY 2 TOLL FREE NUMBERS BUT YOU HAVE VERIFY YOUR INFORMATION FIRST. AFTER QUESTIONING NUMEROUS TIME HE SAID HE HAD TO PASSED ME OVER TO HIS MANAGER WHOSE NAME WAS ALBERT DIGOSTAL. SPEAKING TO HIM WAS LIKE SPEAKING TO A WALL. HE HANG UP ON ME AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS A CRIME AND IF CAUGHT WILL BE PUNISHED BY THE LAW. DONT EVER CAUGHT UP IN THERE TRAP. THEY TAKE INFORMATIONS ON PEOPLE ONLY TO CREATE IDENTITY THEFT AND REUINE YOUR WHOLE LIFE

"He first asked if the first of the "long number in the front of the card" was 4 and for me to confirm it which I did, he then asked me to read the rest of the numbers, which I refused to do. He kept insisting that he only wanted the number for verifying my name and address and that his company was not interested in my money nor acct # and this is not an acct # anyway!. "

    Bunch of liars and thieves.

It is common for phishing scams to claim they know the whole number, and just want you to "verify" it.  First digit of VISA cards is always "4".

Since the first few digits identify the bank, they can just guess a major bank to use in the con, and a lot of the time they will be right enough to fool someone who doesn't know any better.  For example, BofA, US, is "4888"

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bank_Identification_Numbers

ANY unknown caller is likely to be attempting fraud.

Even if you get a call claiming to be from your bank, even if your caller id identifies them, call your bank back through a number from your own records, not even any number provided by the caller.

Note how the "terms and conditions" link is dark blue on black, almost unreadable, and in the smallest font on the page.  The page is designed to obscure disclosure of the terms.  This has often been an indicator of an attempt to defraud through obscuring details of cancellation terms to create an excuse to reject cancellation attempts.

Searching on address also matches this, which appears to be another "membership discount club".

I got a phone call from these people to and they were all forgeion as well. The thing that bothered me was they already had all my information before I even said anything, how did these people get it? I told them I was not interested in any of their gas vouchers and they still said I needed to talk to their verification department, then they said I was going to be charged $1.00 for the first verification transfer and as soon as I told them I was going to report them they hung up on me. This company is deffinatley very fishy, I immediatly called my bank to cancell my card that they had the info on so they cant get into my account, I would advise others who have come into contact to do the same for their own protection and good luck.

Dante Marketing, "Free trial negative-option" scam, for "identity protection services".
Note interference with attempts to cancel, with additional months of charges crammed under a new name.
Note that BofA failed to properly advise their customer to block the card, resulting in additional fraud losses.

Identity Sweep(Dante Marketing) contacted me for a free trial of Identity Sweep. I said okay, planning to cancel but let them have the few dollar trial fee and see what they had, since the salesman was so forcefull. I decided against it and called to cancel within requisite time. I could not make contact with Identity Sweep by phone, they take messages but do not return calls. No live person. I emailed them, and they responded that a person would contact me soon. Also in that email , they sent a email address to contact them again. I called them again. No answer just voicemail, and no response. Then I called the bank. The bank started an action against them and credited back a couple $19.95 charges by Identity Sweep, I let the few dollar trial charge go.

Recenty, I noticed a $19.95 charge on my statement that i had missed. Identity Sweep had switched to Dante Marketing and was charging again $19.95 a month. They got in 3 chages before I noticed it. I thought Identity Sweep was gone. I called Dante Marketing. They answered the phone. They were very rude, made me repeat everything they asked me half adozen times. As I told them about this problem with their account, they continued to not understand and ask for everything repeated. Finally, they said they did not understand me. I gave up.

I actually forgot about them for a week or two and then I received a bank statement with the $19.95 charge. I called Dante again, this time they knew me and told me I had made this charge and that they would cancel my account. After some rudeness and not being able to hear me, and insults, they gave me a cancellation number. This all probaly took several minutes to do, the way they were dodging me. I asked them to refund my money for the $19.95's because I couldn't cancel , because they, as Identity Sweep, would not contact me back or answer any phones. NO, they said they were not going to give me any money(my money). I told them this was robbery and they said, that's my problem. They can only cancel, because "I" made the debt.

I called the bank and the bak said I should have cancelled the credit card so they could not use that card to make fraudulent charges. Bank of America said it was my fault. Because the Federal law protects thiefs if they fraud your card after 60 days. You are supposed to have cancelled it. In the past , however I had problems like this and I always kept the same card to use agian and keeping protection. But the bank said this fraud activity was all part of the same incidence so you got 60days to get rid of them yourselves or get them to leave your account alone. I thought the bank did that. Bof A said they had no way to stop them from continuing toput through charges

I just got a call from them, too.  As I was letting him thru his routine, i went online and found above comments.  So i just hung up while he was waiting for my credit card expiration date.   He called right back but i said i'm not interested and hung up. he didn't call back since.
What made me laugh was his heavy mid-eastern accent and his last name. Sam Willams! Dude, your accent and last name just don't quite match, Scammer!!!!

What a SCAM!!!!!  they worked hard to get card info.  I kept the guy on the phone for almost 2 hours before he gave up and hung up.  I love to screw with the crooks.  It was FUN and I figure the two hours I kept him busy he was not able to scam anyone else.  NEVER GIVE YOUR CARD INFO, ANY INFO, TO ANYONE THAT CALLS ON THE PHONE.  THAT INCLUDED DONATIONS.  ONLY ABOUT 10% OF DONATION OVER THE PHONE ACTUALY GO THE THE RIGHT PEOPLE.  THE REST ARE "OFFICE USE".

    Have fun with them!!!

I to had a  phone call stating would get $200 worth of free gas money. There were 2 people I spoke with. (1) Justin Smith (FTAB17). (2) Jack Parker (JP919). These numbers are there ID for the company. I had asked if there was any charges that I needed to pay. And they said no. But later in the phone call. They both said that I needed to just pay $3.90 for S/H fee. I was upset because they werte not being up front with me. And that would waive the $3.90 fee, if I would give them my cc number. I did not and also thru out the call. I had asked them for a phone number to be able to call if I had any ?s for them. And I told them I am not giving out my cc to any company for nothing I know about. Thats like giving someone a blank check and just go out and spend it. Y+This a scam and don't give them your cc numbers. They tried to do things for me but would not give me any info about the company.
